  • This paper is concerned with integral type boundary value problems of second order singular differential equations with quasi-Laplacian on whole lines. Sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence and non-existence of positive solutions are established. The emphasis is put on the non-linear term $[{\Phi}({\rho}(t)x^{\prime}(t))]^{\prime}$ involved with the nonnegative singular function and the singular nonlinearity term f in differential equations. Two examples are given to illustrate the main results.

  • This paper is mainly concerned with the existence of solution for nonlinear impulsive fractional dynamic equations on a special time scale. We introduce the new concept and propositions of fractional q-integral, q-derivative, and α-Lipschitz in the paper. By using a new fixed point theorem, we obtain some new existence results of solutions via some generalized singular Gronwall inequalities on time scales. Further, an interesting example is presented to illustrate the theory.

  • Consider the second order self-adjoint neutral difference equation of form $\Delta(a_n$\mid$\Delta(x_n\;-\;{p_n}{x_{{\tau}_n}}$\mid$^{\alpha}sgn{\Delta}(x_n\;-\;{p_n}{x_{{\tau}_n}}\;+\;f(n,\;{x_{g_n}}\;=\;0$. In this paper, we will give the classification of nonoscillatory solutions of the above equation; and by the fixed point theorem, we present some existence results for some kinds of nonoscillatory solutions of the equation.

  • In this paper, a class of impulsive fuzzy bi-directional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with distributed delays and variable coefficients are considered. Using Lyapunov functional method and fixed point theorem, we derived some sufficient conditions for the existence and globally exponential stability of unique periodic solution of the networks. The results obtained are new and extend the previous known results. In addition, an example is given to show the effectiveness of our results obtained.

  • In this paper, we apply a new decomposition method for solving initial and boundary value problems, which is due to Noor and Noor [18]. The analytical results are calculated in terms of convergent series with easily computable components. The diagonal Pade approximants are applied to make the work more concise and for the better understanding of the solution behavior. The proposed technique is tested on boundary layer problem; Thomas-Fermi, Blasius and sixth-order singularly perturbed Boussinesq equations. Numerical results reveal the complete reliability of the suggested scheme. This new decomposition method can be viewed as an alternative of Adomian decomposition method and homotopy perturbation methods.

  • In this paper, the Hermitian positive definite solutions of the matrix equation $X^s+A^*X-^tA=Q$, where Q is an $n{\times}n$ Hermitian positive definite matrix, A is an $n{\times}n$ nonsingular complex matrix and $s,t{\in}[1,{\infty})$ are discussed. We find a matrix interval which contains all the Hermitian positive definite solutions of this equation. Also, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of these solutions is presented. Iterative methods for obtaining the maximal and minimal Hermitian positive definite solutions are proposed. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples.

  • We provide another proof that the signed count of the real J-holomorphic spheres (or J- holomorphic discs) passing through a generic real configuration of k points is independent of the choice of the real configuration and the choice of J, if the dimension of the Lagrangian submanifold L (fixed point set of involution) is two or three, and also if we assume L is orient able and relatively spin. We also assume that M is strongly semi-positive. This theorem was first proved by Welschinger in a more general setting, and we provide more natural approach using the signed degree of an evaluation map.

  • In this paper we obtain a very general theorem of $\rho$-compatibility for three multivalued mappings, one of them from the class $\mathfrak{B}$. More exactly, we show that given a G-convex space Y, two topological spaces X and Z, a (binary) relation $\rho$ on $2^Z$ and three mappings P : X $\multimap$ Z, Q : Y $\multimap$ Z and $T\;{\in}\;\mathfrak{B}$(Y,X) satisfying a set of conditions we can find ($\widetilde{x},\;\widetilde{y}$) ${\in}$ $X\;{\times}\;Y$ such that $\widetilde{x}\;{\in}\;T(\widetilde{y})$ and $P(\widetilde{x}){\rho}\;Q(\widetilde{y})$. Two particular cases of this general result will be then used to establish existence theorems for the solutions of some general equilibrium problems.

  • In this paper, we approximate the solution of the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations by using a fully discrete finite element scheme based on the standard Galerkin method in space and implicit midpoint discretization in time. The proposed scheme guarantees the conservation of the total mass and the energy. First, a priori error estimates for the fully discrete Galerkin method is derived. Second, the existence of the approximated solution is proved by virtue of the Brouwer fixed point theorem. Moreover, the uniqueness of the solution is shown. Finally, convergence orders of the fully discrete Crank-Nicolson scheme are discussed. The end of the paper is devoted to some numerical experiments.

  • In this article, we investigate the solvability of nonlinear fractional integro-differential equations of the Hammerstein type. The results are obtained using the technique of measure of noncompactness and the Darbo theorem in the real Banach space of continuous and bounded functions in the interval [0, a]. At the end, an example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.
