  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of driving performance and physiological responses between young male and female drivers for unexpected situation using a graphic vehicle simulator. The participants included 20 college graduates; 23 males aged $24.3\;{\pm}\;1.4$ with $2.3\;{\pm}\;1.5$ years of driving experiences and 23 females aged $23.2\;{\pm}\;2.1$ with $2.2\;{\pm}\;1.7$ years of driving experience. The participants were instructed to drive the vehicle simulator which was programed unexpected situation for two minutes. The physiological measurements used were autonomic responses of electrocardiogram (ECG) and skin conductance response (SCR), and the driving performance measurements used were the reaction time of break and the rate of collision for unexpected situation. Results showed that there were no significant differences between male and female drivers in the reaction time of break and the rate of collision for unexpected situation. Averaged R-R interval decreased and LF IHF and SCL amplitude increased for unexpected situation. There were no significant differences between male and female in the averaged R-R interval and LF/HF for unexpected situation. On the other hand, SCL amplitude of female was higher than male. Rising time to maximum SCL amplitude of female was longer than male.

공과대학 여학생들을 위한 맞춤형 교육프로그램 개발을 위한 요구조사 (The Need Analysis for Development of the Customized Educational Programs for Engineering Female Students)

  • 본 연구는 공과대학 여학생들의 교육프로그램 개발을 위한 요구를 분석함으로써 향후 교육프로그램 운영을 위한 방향과 지침을 마련하고자 한다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 문헌연구와 조사연구를 수행하였는데, 공과대학의 교육환경 및 여학생들의 심리적 기제, 그리고 공과대학 여학생들을 위한 교육프로그램의 현황을 중심으로 문헌연구를 수행하였으며, 인천시 소재 I 대학교의 공과대학 학생 97명을 대상으로 조사연구를 수행하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Window's 15.0 버전을 이용하여 기술통계, 독립표본 t-검증, 대응표본 t-검증, ANOVA 검증, 교차분석 등의 분석 방법이 이용되었다. 연구결과 여학생들은 남학생들에 비해 전반적으로 진보적인 성인지적 성향을 가지고 있으며, 특히 직장내 성역할에 대해 남학생들과 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 공과대학 여학생들은 남학생들에 비해 특히 리더십이 부족하다고 인식하고 있었다. 또한 여학생들은 전공분야로 취업을 희망하는 정도가 남학생들에 비해 낮았고 전공분야 업무에 대한 자신감도 낮은 것으로 조사되었으며, 학교의 여학생들을 위한 행정서비스에 대해 남학생들보다 높은 불만을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 이와 같은 요구조사 결과를 토대로 공과대학 여학생들을 위한 체계적인 교육프로그램 개발 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이며 해당 프로그램의 적용에 따른 효과분석 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다.

공과대학생들의 수리 - 공간 - 언어 능력 사이의 관계 및 성별 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relation among Mathematical - Spatial - Verbal Abilities and Gender Differences of Engineering Students)

  • Mathematical, spatial, and verbal abilities are important for future engineers to succeed in the STEM disciplines. The purpose of the study is to assess engineering students' spatial abilities and analyse the relationship with mathematical achievement, verbal achievement, and gender. On the mental rotation tests, 65% of male students demonstrated a substantial level of spatial abilities. But only 30% of female students exhibited spatial skills at the same level as their male colleagues. The correlations between mathematical - spatial - verbal abilities are found to be negligible. When spatial visualization ability was plotted according to the mathematical achievement level, there was no difference in the mean spatial abilities score. But when mathematical achievement score was plotted according to the spatial abilities, there was a noticeable difference. Regression analysis confirmed that female students' mathematical achievement increased as spatial abilities improved. This phenomenon was not observed for male students. It's because male students' spatial ability already contributed to their mathematics achievement. So spatial ability can be regarded as one factor for the gender differences in mathematics achievement. The gender gap on spatial abilities and math achievement is large among high achieving students. For example, there was a 4.3 to 1 male - female ratio and 3.4 to 1 male - female ratio among students scoring 99th percentile in spatial visualization test and scholastic aptitude test-math.

과학기술인력의 성별 임금격차에 관한 연구 (Study on Gender Pay Gap of Scienceand Engineering Labor Force)

  • 창조경제를 견인하기 위해 다양성과 창의성이 중시되는 환경에서 여성과학기술인력의 활용은 무엇보다 중요해지고 있으며, 경제적 지위를 측정하는 기준으로 노동의 시장가격인 임금에 대한 분석을 통해 성차별을 인식하고 개선하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Oaxaca-Ransom 임금분해 방법(1994)을 활용하여 과학기술인력을 대상으로 남녀 임금에 미치는 영향 요인 및 성별 임금 분해를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학기술인력의 특성을 살펴보면 여성의 평균 임금 수준은 남성의 65%에 불과하며, 학력 등 개인적 특성에서 남성이 우세한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 임금에 영향을 미치는 변수를 살펴보면 여성과 남성 모두 학력 연령이 높을수록, 근무기간 및 주당근로시간이 많을수록, 관리자 직종에 근무할수록 임금 프리미엄이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남성과 여성의 임금분해 결과를 살펴보면, 과학기술인력의 경우 개인적 특성에 의한 생산성 차이가 약 58%, 노동시장에서의 특성에 기인한 성별에 의한 차별은 41%로 나타났다. 비과학기술인력에 비교하였을 시 과학기술인력이 생산성으로 인한 임금격차가 크며 성별에 의한 차별은 덜 한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 전공별 및 학력별로 분석한 결과 성에 의한 여성차별은 전체 인력 중 여성의 비율이 낮을수록 노동시장에서 임시근로자 비율이 높을수록 심한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 개선하기 위해서는 여성과학기술인력의 노동시장에서의 여성 불균형 현상이 무엇보다 필요하며, 여성스스로는 개인의 역량을 지속적으로 강화하는 노력이 수반되어야 할 것이다.

Conventional Female Donor Costume of Cave 79 of Kumtura

  • Cave 79 of Kumtura grottoes, is the best preserved cave, which has an important meaning for research on Uighur costume. This paper is intended to analyze the costume characteristics of female donors in Cave 79 by comparing image materials between Dunhuang murals and other murals in Xinjiang province. In Cave 79, female donor wears red robe with tight sleeve, whose collar is crescent-shaped decorated. Two different opinions are upheld for this decoration. One regards this as the turn-down collar, while the other believes this as decoration on V-neckline. Red robe is quite common in female donors of Xinjiang and Dunhuang murals and a female in fresco is wearing a crown in a triangle red headwear style, regarded as red silk and drooping at head. Female donors wear an extra coat, kame hair clasp, red jacket, light-colored high-waist skirt with a long-tail waistband, and tangerine Pibo (silk ribbon) with scattered small flowers. All these costume styles are commonly-used by Han females. The kame headwear is also the common ornament for Han females and the female's hairstyle is in cone shape on head by a white kame. Current costumes are similar but not completely same.

고농도 산소 공급량 변화에 따른 남/녀 혈중 산소 포화도의 차이 (Differences of Blood Oxygen Saturation between Male and Female due to Change of Supply Rate of Highly Concentrated Oxygen)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine differences between male and female in blood oxygen saturation due to 93% oxygen administration of the three levels (1L/min, 3L/min, 5L/min). Ten healthy male ($25.0{\pm}1.8$ years) and ten female ($23.7{\pm}1.9$ years) college students were selected as the subjects for this study. The experiment consisted of three runs, i.e., the three levels of 93% oxygen administration, respectively. The each run consisted of three phases, i.e., Rest 1 (5 min), Hyperoxia (10 min), and Rest 2 (5 min). Blood oxygen saturation were measured throughout the three phases. By increasing the supply rate of highly concentrated oxygen, rising rate of blood oxygen saturation was increased. Blood oxygen saturation of female was higher than male regardless of supply rate of highly concentrated oxygen and phases.

소비자의 심미적 선호도에서 디자이너의 인지차이에 대한 연구 - 제품 CMF를 중심으로 - (A Study of Designers' Cognitive Differences in Consumers' Aesthetic Preferences - Focus on Product CMF -)

  • With growing competition in the market, more product differentiation in visual perception is needed to enhance competitive power of products. The purpose of this paper is to have a research on designer's cognitive differences in aesthetic preferences of female consumers in product CMF design, and the deviation result in different female consumer groups will be obtained based on collected data of CMF design preferences of different female consumer groups. The research method adopted is to conduct matching experiment with professional products designers as participant to test the matching through correlation analysis between designers' cognition of female consumers and their preferences and female consumer preferences on the basis of the constructed typical user roles of female consumers. The results of the research show the correlation between designers' understanding of female consumer groups and their own real needs, and the surface processing of product surface decoration is the highest aesthetic preference of female consumer groups. The research provides reference for product design industry and designers of small and medium-sized enterprises who have substantial difficulty in surface design analysis.

사회 Network를 고려한 여성과학기술인 만족도 연구 (Satisfaction Index of Female Scientists and Engineers in Social Network)

  • As the 21century enters information era, female scientists and engineers are expected to play important roles more than ever. In Korea, female s roles in such areas have been traditionally limited. In order to find the effective ways of boosting those roles in a social network, we employ an SEM (Structural Equation Model) where the relationship between various factors and the satisfaction level of women scientists and engineers is examined. We expect that the results obtained from this analysis can contribute to improving the environment of women scientists and engineers in each field.

VDT 작업자들의 신체 불편도 조사 및 분석 (An Ergonomic Survey and Analysis of Body Discomfort for VDT Workers)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest prevention methods for the health of VDT workers by an ergonomic survey and analysis of body discomfort. Totally 150 VDT workers(male; 78, female; 72) were investigated with questionnaire. From the results of survey, average of the subjects age was 28.5 years(male; 29.7, female; 27.2), average working period was 5.4 years(male; 5.2, female; 5.6), average VDT working hours was 6.3 hours(male; 6.2, female; 6.4) and workers who answered that they use VDT for more than 5 hours a day were over 79%. Among the questionnaires 10.7% and 7.3% of VDT workers complained the discomfort of their neck and lower back, respectively. VDT workers responded that the height of chair, keyboard and computer monitor were the main reasons for feeling discomfort. The results suggest that the VDT syndrome prevention program should be developed for safety and health of the VDT workers.

  • This study considered about an attitude and a role of a female banker. It is the purpose of this study to present problems and to suggest directions through empirical research because a female banker offers service directly for National welfare. The research findings are as follows : (1) A female banker They have to work with a pride and a sense of duty which they serve for society. (2) Bank's inside organization A strong leadership of a manager and a rational management of personnel system are needed. (3) A labor union It must lay stress on enlargement of welfare work and understand opinion of a union member.
