With the development of network technology, the application area has also been diversified, and protocols for various purposes have been developed and the amount of traffic has exploded. Therefore, it is difficult for the network administrator to meet the stability and security standards of the network with the existing traditional switching and routing methods. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new networking paradigm proposed to solve this problem. SDN enables efficient network management by programming network operations. This has the advantage that network administrators can flexibly respond to various types of attacks. In this paper, we design a threat level management module, an attack detection module, a packet statistics module, and a flow rule generator that collects attack information through the controller and switch, which are components of SDN, and detects attacks based on these attributes of SDN. It proposes a method to block denial of service attacks (DoS) of advanced attackers by programming and applying honeypot. In the proposed system, the attack packet can be quickly delivered to the honeypot according to the modifiable flow rule, and the honeypot that received the attack packets analyzed the intelligent attack pattern based on this. According to the analysis results, the attack detection module and the threat level management module are adjusted to respond to intelligent attacks. The performance and feasibility of the proposed system was shown by actually implementing the proposed system, performing intelligent attacks with various attack patterns and attack levels, and checking the attack detection rate compared to the existing system.

Mt. Neoseongsan (NSS) is the only natural Neorok source in Korea. The geological, historical, and cultural values of NSS were recognized in 2013, and NSS has since been designated and maintained as a natural monument (No. 547), which has restricted the research and utilization of NSS Neorok. The limited NSS Neorok supply has hindered the restoration research of traditional pigments. Recently, a large amount of Neorok has been mined from Mt. Gwangeongsan (GJS) and is expected to be the main supply source of Neorok for restoring traditional pigments. Therefore, this study analyzed the characteristics of NSS- and GJS-Neorok-based pigments to evaluate the feasibility of substituting GJS Neorok for NSS Neorok in pigments. The NSS Neorok was mostly comprised of celadonite, whereas the GJS Neorok included minerals containing glassy phases such as celadonite, cristobalite, tridymite, etc. Because both Neorok samples were vitrified under identical conditions, the GJS Neorok grains were larger than the NSS Neorok ones. The GJS Neorok pigment showed that the chromaticity, grain size, oil absorption, and stability varied depending on the mineral types and contents. In particular, GJS-2 and NSS Neorok showed similar mineral compositions, physical properties, and stabilities, suggesting that GJS-2 can be substituted for NSS Neorok, which has been difficult to source and utilize ever since NSS was designated as a natural monument.
Objectives: This pilot study aimed to evaluate the agreement between traditional face-to-face Korean medicine (KM) pattern identification and non-face-to-face KM pattern identification using the data from related questionnaires, tongue image, and pulse features in patients with cancer. Methods: From January to June 2020, 16 participants with a cancer diagnosis were recruited at the one Korean medicine hospital. Three experienced Korean medicine doctors independently diagnosed the participants whether they belong to the cold pattern or not, heat pattern or not, deficiency pattern or not, and excess pattern or not. Another researcher collected KM pattern related data using questionnaires including Cold-Heat Pattern Identification (CHPI), tongue image analysis system, and pulse analyzer. Collected KM pattern related data without participants' identifier was provided for the three Korean medicine doctors in random order, and non-face-to-face KM pattern identification was carried out. The kappa value between face-to-face and non-face-to-face pattern identification was calculated. Results: From the face-to-face pattern identification, there were 13/3 cold/non-cold pattern, 4/12 heat/non-heat pattern, 14/2 deficiency/non-deficiency pattern, and 0/16 excess/non-excess pattern participants. In cold/non-cold pattern, kappa value was 0.455 (sensitivity: 0.85, specificity: 0.67, accuracy: 0.81). In heat/non-heat pattern, the kappa value was 0.429 (sensitivity: 0.75, specificity: 0.72, accuracy: 0.75). The kappa value of deficiency/non-deficiency and excess/non-excess pattern was not calculated because of the few participants of non-deficiency, and excess pattern. Conclusions: The agreement between traditional face-to-face pattern identification and non-face-to-face pattern identification seems to be moderate. The non-face-to-face pattern identification using questionnaires, tongue, and pulse features may feasible for the large clinical study.
In this study, a 33-mode Free-Flooded Ring (FFR) transducer was designed to apply piezoelectric single crystal PIN-PMN-PT, which has high piezoelectric constants and electromechanical coupling coefficient. To ensure low-frequency high transmitting sensitivity characteristics with a small size of FFR transducer, the commercial FFR transducer based on piezoelectric ceramics was compared. To develop the FFR transducer with broadband characteristics, a piezoelectric segmented ring structure inserted with inactive elements was applied. The oil-filled structure was applied to minimize the change of acoustic characteristics of the ring transducer. It was verified that the transmitting voltage response, underwater impedance, and beam pattern matched the finite element numerical simulation results well through an acoustic test. The difference in the transmitting voltage response between the measured and the simulated results is about 1.3 dB in cavity mode and about 0.3 dB in radial mode. The fabricated FFR transducer had a higher transmitting voltage response compared to the commercial transducer, but the diameter was reduced by about 17 %. From this study, it was confirmed that the feasibility of a single crystal-applied FFR transducer with compact size and high-power characteristics. The effectiveness of the performance prediction by simulation was also confirmed.

The introduction of virtual power plants is actively being discussed to solve the problem of grid acceptability caused by the spread of distributed renewable energy, which is the key to achieving carbon neutrality. However, a new business such as virtual power plants is difficult to secure economic feasibility at the initial stage of introduction because it is common that there is no compensation mechanism. Therefore, appropriate support including subsidy is required at the early stage. But, it is generally difficult to obtain the cost model to determine the subsidy level because of the lack of enough data for the new business model. In this study, a survey of domestic experts on the requirements, appropriate scale, and cost required for the introduction of virtual power plants is conducted. First, resource composition scenarios are designed from the survey results to consider the impact of the resource composition on the cost. Then, the cost estimation model is obtained using the individual cost estimation data for their resource compositions using logistic regression analysis. In the case study, appropriate initial subsidy levels are analyzed and compared for the virtual power plants on the scale of 20-500MW. The results show that mid-to-large resource composition cases show 29-51% lower cost than small-to-large resource composition cases.
Nucleoplasty is a type of percutaneous disc decompression that has been developed to treat herniated intervertebral discs. Currently, in some clinics, researchers have also applied this procedure to patients with internal disc disruption, apart from the originally intended usage on herniated intervertebral discs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of this extended use based on medical logic. To achieve this, the author analyzed case studies on performing nucleoplasty on patients with internal disc disruption. The main points of the analysis are, first, the validity of the treatment evidence presented by the researchers and, second, the relevance of the patient selection criteria. As a result, it is judged that the therapeutic rationale of existing papers applying nucleoplasty to the treatment of internal disc disruption is unclear or inconsistent with general medical logic, and in the process of patient screening, discs that may be deemed inappropriate for percutaneous decompression are included. Therefore, the author believes that existing studies applying nucleoplasty to the treatment of internal disc disruption have the nature of somewhat adventurous experiments that are unnecessary or can cause potential side effects. In order to uphold patients' rights and improve the completeness of the study in the research process on this topic, the author thinks that it is essential to establish clearer therapeutic evidence than the current level of understanding and to have an elaborate patient screening process based on it.

This study aims to investigate the feasibility of the half-cell potential (HCP) measurements on the concrete surface for evaluation of corrosion rate (or corrosion levels) of reinforcing steel in concrete. A series of experimental study is performed to measure HCP (or corrosion potential, Ecorr) and corrosion current density (icorr) of reinforcing steel in concrete cube specimens, with a side length of 200 mm. Various corrosion levels in a range of 0% to 20% of the test specimens are accelerated by impressing current to the reinforcing steel in concrete immersed in 3.0 % NaCl solution. HCP is measured in accordance with ASTM C876-15, and corrosion current density is determined by using the Stern-Geary equation and measured polarization resistance measured by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). As a result, a numerical formula that relates HCP and icorr in the test specimen is established by a regression analysis of the measured data in this study. It is observed that HCP is linearly correlated with log(icorr) with a R2 greater than 0.87, which is less affected by the experimental variables such as concrete mixture proportion, diameter of reinforcing steel and the amount of applied current in this study. These results exhibit that HCP measurements could be effective for evaluation of corrosion rate (or corrosion levels) of reinforcing steel in concrete in the case of exposed to a certain consistent environment.
Hydrogen energy is emerging as an important means of carbon neutrality in the various sectors including power, transportation, storage, and industrial processes. Fuel cell power plants are the fastest spreading in the hydrogen ecosystem and are one of the key power sources among means of implementing carbon neutrality in 2050. However, high volatility in system marginal price (SMP) and renewable energy certificate (REC) prices, which affect the profits of fuel cell power plants, delay the investment timing and deployment. This study applied the real option methodology to analyze how the dual uncertainties in both SMP and REC prices affect the investment trigger price level in the irreversible investment decision of fuel cell power plants. The analysis is summarized into the following three. First, under the current Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), dual price uncertainties passed on to plant owners has significantly increased the investment trigger price relative to one under the deterministic price case. Second, reducing the volatility of REC price by half of the current level caused a significant drop in investment trigger prices and its investment trigger price is similar to one caused by offering one additional REC multiplier. Third, investment trigger price based on gray hydrogen and green hydrogen were analyzed along with the existing byproduct hydrogen-based fuel cells, and in the case of gray hydrogen, economic feasibility were narrowed significantly with green hydrogen when carbon costs were applied. The results of this study suggest that the current RPS system works as an obstacle to the deployment of fuel cell power plants, and policy that provides more stable revenue to plants is needed to build a more cost-effective and stable hydrogen ecosystem.

In this paper, a ferrosilicon by-product was evaluated to confirm the feasibility of recycling it as supplementary cementitious material of ordinary Portland cement in concrete. Three different levels of replacement ratio (10 %, 20 % and 30 % of total binder) were applied to find which is the most beneficial to be used as a binder. Ferrosilicon concrete was initially assessed at setting time and compressive strength. Durability was evaluated by the resistance to chloride penetration test(RCPT) and alkali-silica reaction(ASR) with a comparison to silica fume concrete due to their similarity in chemical composition. The porosimetry and X-ray diffraction analysis along with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy give information on the microstructural characteristics of the ferrosilicon concrete. It was found that 10 % ferrosilicon concrete has higher strength while 20 %, 30 % have lower strength than OPC concrete. However, chemical resistance to chloride attack is higher when replacement is increased. Compared to silica fume, the durability of ferrosilicon might be less efficient however, it is obviously beneficial than OPC. High SiO2 content in ferrosilicon results in producing more C-S-H gel which could make denser pore structure. Most of the risk of alkali silica reaction to silicate binders through length change tests was less than 0.2 %, and both mortar using ferrosilicon and silica fume showed better resistance to alkali silica reaction as the substitution rate increased.Reuse of industrial waste rather than producing highly refined additives might reduce environmental load during manufacture and save costs.
To limit greenhouse gas emissions from ships, numerous environmental regulations and standards have been taken into effect. As a result, alternative fuels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ammonia, and biofuels have been applied to ships. Most of these alternative fuels are low flashpoint fuels in the form of liquefied gas. Their use is predicted to continue to increase. Thus, management regulations for using low flash point fuel as a ship fuel are required. However, they are currently insufficient. In the case of LNG, ISO standards have been prepared in relation to bunkering. The Society for Gas as a Marine Fuel (SGMF), a non-governmental organization (NGO), has also prepared and published a guideline on LNG bunkering. The classification society also requires safety management areas to be designated according to bunkering methods and procedures for safe bunkering. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a procedure for setting a safety management area according to the type of fuel, environmental conditions, and leakage scenarios and verify it with a numerical method. In this study, as a feasibility study for establishing these procedures, application status and standards of the industry were reviewed. Classification guidelines and existing preceding studies were analyzed and investigated. Based on results of this study, a procedure for establishing a safety management area for bunkering in domestic ports of Korea can be prepared.
