  • The present paper deals with the extension of AUSMPW+ scheme into two-fluid model for multiphase flow. AUSMPW+ scheme is the improvement of a single-phase AUSM+ scheme by designing pressure-based weighting functions to prevent oscillations near a wall and shock instability after a strong shock. Recently, Kitamura and Liou assessed a family of AUSM-type schemes with two-fluid model governing equations [K. Kitamura and M.-S. Liou, Comparative study of AUSM-Family schemes in compressible multi-phase flow simulations, ICCFD7-3702 (2012)]. It was observed that the direct application of the single-phase AUSMPW+ did not provide satisfactory results for most of numerical test cases, which motivates the current study. It turns out that, by designing pressure-based weighting functions, which play a key role in controlling numerical diffusion for two-fluid model, problems reported in can be overcome. Various numerical experiments validate the proposed modification of AUSMPW+ scheme is accurate and robust to solve multiphase flow within the framework of two-fluid model.

  • In this paper, we consider some normality criteria concerning multiple values. Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a family of meromorphic functions defined in a domain D. Let k be a positive integer and ${\psi}(z){\not\equiv}0$, ${\infty}$ be a meromorphic function in D. If, for each $f{\in}\mathcal{F}$ and $z{\in}D$, (1) $f(z){\neq}0$, and all of whose poles are multiple; (2) all zeros of $f^{(k)}(z)-{\psi}(z)$ have multiplicities at least k + 3 in D; (3) all poles of ${\psi}(z)$ have multiplicities at most k in D, then $\mathcal{F}$ is normal in D.

  • In this paper, using bent functions defined [n the finite field we generalized the construction method of the family of p-ary bent sequences with balanced and optimal correlation property introduced by Kumar and Moreno for an odd prime p[3], called a generalized p-ary bent sequence. It turns out that the family of balanced p-ary sequences with optimal correlation property introduced by Moriuchi and Imamura [6] is a special case of the generalized p-ary bent sequences.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among mothers' reflective function, preschoolers' empathy, executive function, caring behaviors. Subjects for this study were 498 preschoolers and their mothers. Mothers' reflective function was assessed by the Parental Reflective Functioning Questionnaire(PRFQ). Preschoolers' empathy was assessed by the Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy(QCAE). Preschoolers' executive function was assessed by the Behavioral Rating Inventory of Executive Functions-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P), and caring behaviors were assessed by the caring behaviors scale(Kim, 2015). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA), and structural equation model(SEM) with the SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0 program. The major results of this study were as follows. First, mothers' reflective function showed direct effects on preschoolers' empathy, executive function, and caring behaviors. Second, the preschoolers' empathy and executive function showed direct effects on preschoolers' caring behaviors. Third, preschoolers' empathy mediated the effects of mothers' reflective function on preschoolers' caring behaviors. The findings of this study will contribute to designing intervention programs to improve preschoolers' empathy, executive function, and caring behaviors.

  • Cytokines regulate proliferation, differentiation and functions of haemotopoietic cells. Each cytokine possesses a variety of activities on various target cells (pleiotropy) and various cytokines have similar and overlapping activities on the same target cells (redundancy). The nature of these cytokine activities predicts unique feature of cytokine receptors, namely, cytokine has multiple receptors, different cytokines share a common receptor, and different cytokine receptors are linked to common signaling pathways. cDNA cloning of genes for cytokine receptors revealed distinct sets of receptor family with different structural features. The cytokine receptor superfamily consists of a largest family, and contains more than twenty cytokine receptor subunits. This receptor has common structural features in both extracellular and intracellular regions without tyrosine kinase domain. Another striking feature of the receptor is to share common subunit of multiple cytokines, which partly explains the redundancy of activities of some cytokines. Recent studies revealed detailed signaling events of the cytokine receptor, the primary activation of JAK and subsequent phosphorylation of tyrosine residues of receptor, and various cellular proteins. Many SH2 containing adapter proteins play an important role in cytokine signals, and this system has similarities with tyrosine kinase receptor signal transduction. STAT may mainly account for cytokine specific functions as suggested by knockout mice studies. It is of importance to note that cytokine activates multiple signaling pathways and the balance and combination of related signaling events may determine the specificity of functions of cytokines.

  • For j = 0, 1, 2,…, k - 1; k ≥ 2; and - 1 ≤ B < A ≤ 1, we have introduced the functions classes denoted by ST[j,k](A, B) and K[j,k](A, B), respectively, called the generalized (j, k)-symmetric starlike and convex functions. We first proved the sharp bounds on |f(z)| and |f'(z)|. Various radii related problems, such as radius of (j, k)-symmetric starlikeness, convexity, strongly starlikeness and parabolic starlikeness are determined. The quantity |a23 - a5|, which provide the initial bound on Zalcman functional is obtained for the functions in the family ST[j,k]. Furthermore, the sharp pre-Schwarzian norm is also established for the case when f is a member of K[j,k](α) for all 0 ≤ α < 1.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the appropriateness of resource allocation based on the ranking of health center function. Through the Delphi processes, health center functions were ranked in order of importance as follows; planning and research, followed by health education, health promotion, management of chronic diseases, health screening tests, welfare activities, mental health services, medical personnel management, medical services, prevention of communicable diseases, maternal and infant health services, housekeeping, management of oral hygiene, nutrition services, surveillance for community health services, family planning, and administration of the health center. In relation to the above priorities, the allocation of manpower was not appropriate. Even though the expert groups emphasized on functions such as planning and research, health education, and health promotion, they inputted more personnel for administration of a health center, maternal and infant health services, and medical services which were evaluated with lower importance. The budget allocation showed the same trends as the above. Although the functions such as planning and research, health education, and health promotion, and management of chronic diseases were evaluated highly, the budget was allocated accordingo to the the results of the former fiscal year rather than on the importance of function. However the budget for nutrition services, surveillance for the community health services, family planning, and administration of a health center was allocated according to priority. Based upon the above findings, community health center should be given the opportunity to make their own ranking of health center function and to allocate their resources including personnel and budget in order to improve the responsibilities and roles of the community health center.

  • Let ${\kappa}$ be a positive integer and let G be a simple graph with vertex set V(G). A function f : V (G) ${\rightarrow}$ {-1, 1} is called a signed total ${\kappa}$-dominating function if ${\sum}_{u{\in}N({\upsilon})}f(u){\geq}{\kappa}$ for each vertex ${\upsilon}{\in}V(G)$. A set ${f_1,f_2,{\ldots},f_d}$ of signed total ${\kappa}$-dominating functions of G with the property that ${\sum}^d_{i=1}f_i({\upsilon}){\leq}1$ for each ${\upsilon}{\in}V(G)$, is called a signed total ${\kappa}$-dominating family (of functions) of G. The maximum number of functions in a signed total ${\kappa}$-dominating family of G is the signed total k-domatic number of G, denoted by $d^t_{kS}$(G). In this note we initiate the study of the signed total k-domatic numbers of graphs and present some sharp upper bounds for this parameter. We also determine the signed total signed total ${\kappa}$-domatic numbers of complete graphs and complete bipartite graphs.

  • For a positive integer k, a k-rainbow dominating function of a digraph D is a function f from the vertex set V (D) to the set of all subsets of the set $\{1,2,{\ldots},k\}$ such that for any vertex $v{\in}V(D)$ with $f(v)={\emptyset}$ the condition ${\cup}_{u{\in}N^-(v)}$ $f(u)=\{1,2,{\ldots},k\}$ is fulfilled, where $N^-(v)$ is the set of in-neighbors of v. A set $\{f_1,f_2,{\ldots},f_d\}$ of k-rainbow dominating functions on D with the property that $\sum_{i=1}^{d}{\mid}f_i(v){\mid}{\leq}k$ for each $v{\in}V(D)$, is called a k-rainbow dominating family (of functions) on D. The maximum number of functions in a k-rainbow dominating family on D is the k-rainbow domatic number of D, denoted by $d_{rk}(D)$. In this paper we initiate the study of the k-rainbow domatic number in digraphs, and we present some bounds for $d_{rk}(D)$.

  • Auxin is a key plant hormone which regulates overall plant growth development. A number of researches to investigate auxin signaling identified three major classes of early auxin response genes: AUX/IAA, GH3 and SMALL AUXIN UP RNA (SAUR). Among these genes, in planta functions of SAUR gene family are largely ambiguous, while both AUX/IAA and GH3 genes are analyzed to mediate negative feedback on auxin response. SAUR genes encode small plant-specific proteins. SAUR gene products are highly unstable and transiently expressed in the tissue- and developmental-specific manners in response to auxin and various environmental stimuli. In the decades, molecular and genetic approaches to elucidate in planta functions of SAURs have been hampered by several factors such as the unstable molecular features and functional redundancy among them. However, a series of recent studies focusing on several subgroups of SAUR gene family made significant progress in our understanding of its biochemical and physiological functions. These works suggest that many SAUR proteins mainly regulate auxin-related cell expansion and auxin transport. In this review, the recent progress in SAUR research and prospects for crop improvement through its genetic manipulation are discussed.
