가족친화마을만들기를 위한 모델 및 핵심 요소 (A Discussion of the Family-Friendly Village Model and Important Factors)

  • A law facilitating a family-friendly social environment was legislated in December 2007. According to the law, projects for facilitating a family-friendly social environment consisted of a family-friendly working environment, a community environment, and the promotion of a family-friendly culture. There has been much progress in developing a family-friendly working environment through projects such as those advocating for flexible work hours, an employee support system, and child care and a family care support system. However, in terms of a family-friendly community environment project, there was no noticeable advancement. Hence, this study was conducted to find ways to vitalize the family-friendly village project in terms of the family-friendly community environment project. The major findings of this study were as follows: A family-friendly village could be structured on the three axes of time, space, and relation. The model of the family-friendly village project consists of the following three steps: motivation, systematization, and participating & practicing. In the motivation step, integration, community, and sustainability were needed as basic ideologies for a family-friendly village. In the systematization step, providing systematic educational systems for residents taking on leadership and activist roles was stressed. In the participating & practicing step, many ways to facilitate residents' social relationships were suggested: starting the project from matters of common interests, making the resolution of families' problems a communal task of the residents, accepting the opinions of various groups associated with the matter, and taking a differentiated project process according to the geographic, socio-economic, and demographic characteristics of the groups. It is strongly suggested that the family-friendly village should be taken as a common functional scheme in everyone of eight livable village models because a key factor in a family-friendly village, family care, serves an essential function in any livable village model.

생활정보 인식 및 이용 : 가족친화적 생활정보 환경 조성을 위한 제언 (The Perception and Use of Living Information : Suggestion for a Family-friendly Living Information Environment)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide suggestion for the establishment of a living information environment for a family-friendly living environment. The survey data on a sample of three hundred and eighty-four married respondents with at least one child in elementary school that were collected for 15 days from April 16 to April 30 of 2010 were analyzed. The results are as follows: It is important to establish a family-friendly living information environment as one of the important elements for a family-friendly living environment. Two aspects ought to be considered in establishing a family-friendly living information environment. One is the supply aspect of the family-friendly living information: this encompasses the usage of facilities in the community, the residents in the community as leaders and the user-friendly living information. The other is the user aspect of the living information, which involves the education on living information for the residents in the community.

  • This study aims to identify the concept of a family-friendly neighborhood environment and to present the findings to influence the goals of and directions for future policy. This qualitative research study was conducted based on interviews with six leaders in the child-care community residing in Jeju and Seogwipo, two cities in South Korea. First, the findings demonstrated that the subjects recognized the concept of family-friendly neighborhood environments as "environments in which communication is possible with all neighbors, neighbors take care of children, and all families enjoy neighborhood life." Second, family-friendly neighborhood environments were characterized as being safe, nature-friendly, and accessible. Third, participants identified family leisure cultural facilities and multipurpose facilities as the spaces that characterize family-friendly neighborhood environments. Lastly, the model of family-friendly neighborhoods needs to be composed of the following three factors: residence, leisure, and economy.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of family-friendly life environment factors including local community's living environment satisfaction (safety, convenience, comfort, accessibility, exchange of neighbor satisfaction), family support facility satisfaction, family support program satisfaction and nurture and education environment satisfaction, and local community's living information accessibility on the effect of multiple roles of married men and women with children. Data were collected from 380 married men and women with children located Seoul, GyeongGi-Do, ChungCheongBuk-Do, and KyungSangNam-Do. The results show that, first of all, related to general trend of role satisfaction and role strain, the subjects have higher experience of role satisfaction than role strain. Secondly, the variables of social demography, such as monthly income, non-regular full-time working system, white collar occupation, number of children and level of education, and living environment variables, such as satisfaction of living environment stability and satisfaction of neighbor exchange in living environment were significantly related to role strain. Thirdly, social demography variables, such as average monthly earnings, gender (male), non-regular part-time working system, satisfaction of stability in living environment, and satisfaction of convenience in living environment were significantly related to role strain.

가족친화적 기업복지제도 이용가능 정도가 기혼여성근로자의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Family-Friendly Corporate Welfare Programs on Job Satisfaction of Married Female Employees)

  • he purpose of this study was to assess if the availability of the family-friendly corporate welfare programs had an effect on job satisfaction of married female employees after controlling for other factors such as job, personal and household characteristics. This study analyzed 215 working mothers who had the children under 6 years of age using the Korea Labor Panel Data(2005). The study established that married female employees working in the companies with more family-friendly corporate welfare programs exhibited higher job satisfaction on working hours, communication and human Relationships and other fringe benefits. Therefore, we recommended that family-friendly corporate welfare programs should be more available and developed in order to promote better job satisfaction for married female employees.

거주 지역에 따른 가족결속력과 고령친화환경이 공동체의식에 미치는 영향: 연령통합인식의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Role of Family Cohesion and Perception of Age-friendly Environment on Sense of Community by Regions: The Mediating Role of Perception of Age-Integration)

  • 본 연구는 거주 지역에 따른 가족결속력과 고령친화환경인식이 공동체의식에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이 관계에서 연령통합 인식이 매개역할을 하는지 확인해보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여, 전국의 만 20세 이상 85세 미만의 성인남녀 1,200명을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 자료를 사용하였다. 일원배치 분산분석과 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족결속력과 고령친화환경 인식 중 지역사회 참여환경 인식은 모든 지역에서 공동체의식에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 광역시와 중소도시에서 가족결속력이 공동체 의식에 영향을 주는 과정에서 연령통합인식이 부분적으로 매개의 역할을 하였다. 또한, 모든 지역에서 지역사회 참여환경인식이 공동체의식에 영향을 주는 과정에서 연령통합인식이 부분적으로 매개의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 우리 사회의 공동체 의식 증진을 위하여, 가족의 결속력을 높이는 방안과, 고령친화환경인식, 특히, 지역사회의 참여환경을 증진시키기 위한 방안에 대하여 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

가족친화환경 측면에서 본 남성의 아버지역할 수행 실태 (Men's Father-role in the Context of Family Friendly Environment)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the father-role in the context of Family-Friendly-Environment and to give the information for enhancing the father-role and balancing between work and family. Through the survey in February and March 2010 the data from 973 cases was collected. As a research method the frequency, percent proportion, mean, $X^2$ and Anova were used. From the data 'friendly father' was found as the most preferred father role. And we found the context of father-role was varied with the stage of children's age group. Also the need for the family-friendly program of Healthy-Families-Center was founded. This result was to be applicated for the educational program for fathers. So we proposed the educational program for the fathers in accordance with the developmental stage of children focused on the friendly father-role. In order to perform the friendly father role, more concert information and specific contents have to be developed.

가족친화제도와 조직문화가 여성관리자의 출산의향에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Family-Friendly Workplace Policies and Organizational Culture on the Willingness of Female Managers to Have a Child)

  • This study investigates the influence of family-friendly workplace policies and organizational culture on the willingness of married female managers to have a child. The analysis includes 353 married female managers from the $6^{th}$ survey of the 2016 Korean Women Manager Panel. Factors that are found to influence the respondents include age, education, number of children, job position, promotional goals, accessibility to family leave, accessibility to shorter work hours during the child-rearing period, and organizational culture. Female managers who can easily use family leave or who have shorter work hours during the child-rearing period show a higher willingness to have a child. By contrast, those whose work places employ a fair and horizontal organizational culture are less willing to have a child. The introduction of family-friendly policies are not found to be statistically significant determinants of female managers' willingness to have a child. We find that influencing family-friendly policies between the first and second childbirth differ. The accessibility of family-friendly policies that affect the willingness of female managers to have a child when they have no child include parental leave, employer-supported childcare, and childcare subsidies. For improving their willingness to have a second child, accessibility to both family leave and shorter work hours during the child-rearing period are effective. In conclusion, the government should strongly consider micro-personal factors, such as family-friendly workplace practices and organizational culture, when executing policies to reverse the current trend of low fertility.

가족 및 고령친화환경 요인과 가족 내 세대교류의 관계: 연령별 집단비교 (The Relationship between Family-related Factors, Age-friendly Environment and Intergenerational Interaction within the Family - A Comparison of Two Different Age Groups -)

  • 본 연구는 가족관련 요인과 고령친화환경 요인이 가족 내 세대교류에 미치는 영향력에 대해 중년층과 고령층을 비교하여 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 고령화와 함께 심화되는 가족 내 세대 교류 단절에 대한 대안을 제시하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 한국연구재단 지원사업인 "2014 고령화 사회에 대한 인식 조사"의 자료를 사용하였으며, 그 중 18세 이상의 성인자녀가 있는 45-64세 연구대상자 260명, 65세 이상의 연구대상자 399명을 각각 중년층과 노년층으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 가족관련 요인, 고령친화환경 요인과 두 연령집단의 가족 내 세대 교류와의 관계를 분석하기 위해 t-test와 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 가족관련 요인은 두 연령집단에서 모두 영향력을 보였으나 중년층에서는 친밀감이, 노년층에서는 가족주의가 각각 통계적으로 더 높은 유의미성을 나타냈다. 또한 고령친화요인 중에서는 노년층에서 세대통합에 대한 인식만이 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 가족 내 세대교류 관계의 향상을 위한 함의를 제시하였다.

노인 부양의식에 영향을 미치는 요인: 청년세대와 중년세대 비교를 중심으로 (Factors Affecting the Awareness of Elderly Support - Focusing on the Comparison of Young and Middle Age generation -)

  • 본 연구는 청년세대와 중년세대를 중심으로 노인에 대한 세대공감과 가족친밀감, 고령친화환경이 부양의식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이들 관계에서의 세대간 차이를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 한국연구재단의 인문사회역량강화지원사업에서 진행된 '2017 연령통합 설문조사' 자료를 사용하였다. 자료의 분석은 전체 1017명 중에서 18세 이상 64세 이하에 해당하는 640명을 대상으로 하였으며, 집단간 차이를 확인하기 위해 구조방정식을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 전체 연구 대상자에서는 노인세대공감과 가족친밀감에서 부양의식에 유의미한 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 제시한 부양의식과 영향요인의 관계는 세대간에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청년세대는노인세대공감과 가족친밀감에서 부양의식에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 중년세대에서는 노인세대공감과 가족친밀감은 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 반면, 고령친화환경은 유의미한 부적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 기반하여 세대간 부양의식 향상을 위한 정책적 실천적 제언을 제시하였다.
