Several algorithms have been developed for the data processing of spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SAR). In particular, the range migration algorithm (RMA) does not assume that illuminating wavefronts are planar. Also, a high resolution image can be obtained by the RMA. This paper introduces an extension of the original RMA to enable a more efficient airborne SAR data processing. We consider more general motion and scene than the original RMA. The presented formulation is analyzed by using the principle of the stationary phase. Finally, the extended algorithm is tested with numerical simulations using the pulsed spotlight SAR.

This study aims to analyze the model of 'autonomous regional development', which was initiated in 1980s in Austria, then introduced into Germany and Switzerland. The basic ideas of autonomous regional development are constructed of the peculiarity, the autonomy, the integrity, and the project promotion. The subjects of the development-four poles of the model 'autonomous regional development' -are designed of the land residents, the regional advisers, the regional associations and the state. The concret measures to realize the autonomous regional development are the realization of independent regional economic structures, the autonomy of political decision-makings, and the development of peculiar rural cultures. The autonomous regional development is a new development model, which is founded on the right basic principles. In this model the initiative of the residents is emphasized, and the real autonomy of regional development is required. The principle of autonomy leads to the development of peculiar rural cultures, which keep the peculiarity of the region. The development of rural culture contributes in turn to restoring the identity of residents, which may become a driving force of the rural development.

In South Korea, a few kinds of social farming practice are identified: care farming, labour integration, and training in farming sector. Although social farming is not a prevailing activity in rural communities, it attracts much attention from a range of actors in society. In Hongseong-gun, from a few years ago, two farms began to care and employ the mentally disabled and to train young new comers who want to grow crops in the way of organic farming. Both of them are cooperatives, which were established by the residents want to participate in. These movement has made some changes in the community. And now, it became the well-known cases of social farming as well as multi-functional agriculture. Social farming can be described as a praxis to deterritorialize the units of agricultural production and the rural community, where food empires imposed their ordering principle upon units of agricultural production in order to appropriate the value added by farming.

Reviewing the meaning aid task of balance of regional development, this papa examines the causes of the underdevelopment of rural areas in relation to the urbanization process, probes the concept, principle and necessity of rural community development, and suggests the policy tasks for rural community development in the perspective of regionally balanced development. Since 1960's, Korea has pursued a growth-oriented economic policy. The focus on the aggregated growth, however, has resulted bo invite some regional disparity problems. In the process of development, regional disparity problems were quite a large rural areas compared with urban areas relatively. The under-development of rural areas is deeply correlated with the overcrowding (or overconcentration) phenomena of urban(or metropolitan) areas. The urban-biased policy is the primary cause of the deepening regional imbalance structure between urban and rural areas. The inter-regions equitable and well-balanced development is one of the national policy issues by which the government is confronted, since the issue is closely related with national quality of life. Main three policy tasks for rural community development were 'the new paradigm of development policy' , 'local-oriented policy' and 'human-oriented policy'.

The objective of this study is to analyze the problems of disposal and collection, including administrative management of agricultural PE waste and suggest effective management measurements. Information regarding problems of agricultural PE waste management were collected from field survey of farmers, regional governments and officials. On the national level, the low ratio of collection for optimal treatment of agricultural PE waste is a critical problem. , the negative discharging behavior of farmers, an illegal incineration and landfill of farmers and a lack of education and extension etc. An ambiguity of the management principle to agricultural PE waste, the differences in management among the regional governments, a lack of will of the regional governments and officials to realize SARD and lack of education and extension etc. are some of the problems in administrative management of agricultural PE waste collection. The major suggestions of this study are as follows : (1) to strengthen education and extension, (2) to adopt an improved economic incentive system and strong, lawful regulation simultaneously, (3) to use temporang collection and permanent collection site, and (4) to organize "OTC(Optimal Treatment Conference)" composed of farmers, regional cooperative, PE producers etc. for operating an effective management system.

In the current online game field, many studies on the realization of AI have been carried out. It is, however, very hard to apply smart AI to the online games due to the limited use of resources. The Fuzzy extension method this thesis presents is suitable to online games because it causes less loads in the system and makes it possible to realize more human-like AI. To realize this kind of AI, this paper suggests AI system design methods suitable to fuzzy-based online game and presents practical plans to apply them through the produced demos.

A bag is a set-like entity which can contain repeated elements. Fuzzy bags have been studied by Yager, who defined their basic relations and operations. However, his definitions of the basic relations and operations are inconsistent with the corresponding relations and operations for ordinary fuzzy sets. The present paper presents new basic relations and operations of fuzzy bags using a grade sequence for each element of the universal set. Moreover the .alpha.-cut, t-norms, the extension principle, and the composition of fuzzy bag relations are described.

In this paper, we prove that multi-variate fuzzy polynomials are universal approximators for multi-variate fuzzy functions which are the extension principle of continuous real-valued function under $T_W-based$ fuzzy arithmetic operations for a distance measure that Buckley et al.(1999) used. We also consider a class of fuzzy polynomial regression model. A mixed non-linear programming approach is used to derive the satisfying solution.

Computation with fuzzy numbers is a prospective branch of a fuzzy set theory regarding the data processing applications. In this paper we consider an open problem about distributivity of fuzzy quantities based on the extension principle suggested by Mare (1997). Indeed, we show that the distributivity on the class of fuzzy numbers holds and min-norm is the only continuous t-norm which holds the distributivity under t-norm based fuzzy arithmetic operations.
