  • The purpose of this study was to criticize (through available documents) the lecture in English at colleges. It is necessary that a study of English is emphasized in the era of internationalization. But, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English without consideration of the purpose, principle, and philosophy of college's education needs reflective thinking. This study criticized four dimensions, in other words the effectiveness of lecture in English, criteria of internationalization and college's competition of lecture in English, social inequality of lecture in English, and the harmfulness in the value of Korean language of lecture in English. First, most researches expressed the indiscreet extension of lecture in English was not effective in both students and professors. Second, many scholars and agencies on the internationalization and college's competition excluded the lecture in English as criteria. Third, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English had the possibility of social inequality. And fourth, the indiscreet extension of lecture in English had harmfulness in the value of Korean language and Korean's thought. College's education is an ivory tower in society. So, colleges should discard the thought that extension of lecture in English is the best way. Colleges should keep the purpose, principle, and philosophy of college's education.

  • I studied on the dual principle the negative-positive toward 'the motion of Taijiquan'. The results are as follows. The grade of comprehension on the dual principle for the negative-positive for human-body is equal to the comprehension on Taijiquan. YeoBiSae is judged abstractly for the image of MuGeug and GiSae for the image of TaeGeug on the motion of Taijiquan progressing program. The motion of Taijiquan is divided up the extension and contraction. In the motion of Taijiquan, the extension exercises make use of positive energy and DogMaeg(독맥), the contraction exercises make use of negative energy and ImMaeg(임맥).

  • Many authors considered the computational aspect of sup-min convolution when applied to weighted average operations. They used a computational algorithm based on a-cut representation of fuzzy sets, nonlinear programming implementation of the extension principle, and interval analysis. It is well known that $T_W$(the weakest t-norm)-based addition and multiplication preserve the shape of L-R type fuzzy numbers. In this paper, we consider the computational aspect of the extension principle by the use of $T_W$ when the principle is applied to fuzzy weighted average operations. We give the exact solution for the case where variables and coefficients are L-L fuzzy numbers without programming or the aid of computer resources.

  • In this paper, we carried out a new numerical approach for solving integral algebraic equations with weakly singular kernels. The novel method is based on the construction of B-spline tight framelets using the unitary and oblique extension principles. Some numerical examples are given to provide further explanation and validation of our method. The result of this study introduces a new technique for solving weakly singular integral algebraic equation and thus in turn will contribute to providing new insight into approximation solutions for integral algebraic equation (IAE).

  • This study analyzes the factors of the pleasure principle through female costume in the paintings of Renoir, based on the Freud theory. The factors of the pleasure principle pursuing the desire-satisfaction are described as follows ; narcissism, exhibitionism, extension of the bodily self, the emphasis of erogenous zone, and muscle-erotism.

  • We introduce the concept of a 'fuzzy' map between sets by modifying the concept of the extension principle introduced by Dubois and Prade in [1] and study their properties. Using these we generalize Goguen's and Zadeh's extension principles in [2] and [3].

  • In this note we consider other type of tightness than that of Birkel (1988) and prove an invariance principle for nonstationary associated processes by an application of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984), thus avoiding the argument of uniform integrability. This result is an extension to the nonstationary case of an invariance priciple of Newman and Wright (1981) as well as an improvement of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984).
