This study used 2 coordination tasks to examine the strategy and quality of interactions between mothers and their children. Results were: (1) Most frequently employed strategies of mothers were feedback, orders, explanations followed by questions and opinions. Most frequently employed strategies of children were offering opinions followed by recognition and explanation. (2) In mother-initiated interactions, the mother's-question/child's-opinion sequence was most frequent, and child's acceptance of mother's order, explanation, suggestion, or opinion; child's question to mother's order, and child's explanation were also frequent. In child-initiated interactions, child's-opinion/mother's-feedback occurred most frequently. Mothers' feedback to child's explanation, acceptance, and question was also observed. (3) When mothers and children used strategies of low quality, such as rejection or reprimand, the interactions tended to be negative.
The optimum drive control method have to be developed to exhibit the use object contributed trust, accuracy, amenity and energy save of product. To develop the optimum drive control method is, first, grasped the static characteristics for the entire system combined each element which consists the machine and performed the dynamic characteristics explanation based on the satisfied result which acquires at the static characteristics explanation. According to this explanation, the response of the system shows same characteristics tendency and the increasing same quantify comparing to response change of each element. So the dynamic response of the entire system shows different. Therefore this study performs the static and the dynamic characteristic explanation of entire system and each element for using air-conditioning system of solar energy based on the performed result from now on, so for application of this result.
This study sought to provide an explanation of university students' concept understanding on the infinity and infinite process and utilized a psychological constructivist perspective to examine the differences in transitions that students make from static concept of limit to actualized infinity stage in context of problems. Open-ended questions were used to gather data that were used to develop an explanation concerning student understanding. 47 university students answered individually and were asked to solve 16 tasks developed by Petty(1996). Microgenetic method with two cases from the expert-novice perspective were used to develop and substantiate an explanation regarding students' transitions from static concept of limit to actualized infinity stage. The protocols were analyzed to document student conceptions. Cifarelli(1988)'s levels of reflective abstraction and Robert(1982) and Sierpinska(1985)'s three-stage concept development model of infinity and infinite process provided a framework for this explanation. Students who completed a transition to actualized infinity operated higher levels of reflective abstraction than students who was unable to complete such a transition. Developing this ability was found to be critical in achieving about understanding the concept of infinity and infinite process.
Explainable artificial intelligence is a method that explains how a complex model (e.g., a deep neural network) yields its output from a given input. Recently, graph-type data have been widely used in various fields, and diverse graph neural networks (GNNs) have been developed for graph-type data. However, methods to explain the behavior of GNNs have not been studied much, and only a limited understanding of GNNs is currently available. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an explanation method for node classification using graph convolutional networks (GCNs), which is a representative type of GNN. The proposed method finds out which features of each node have the greatest influence on the classification of that node using GCN. The proposed method identifies influential features by backtracking the layers of the GCN from the output layer to the input layer using the gradients. The experimental results on both synthetic and real datasets demonstrate that the proposed explanation method accurately identifies the features of each node that have the greatest influence on its classification.
A three factor experiment was conducted to explore the effects of giving prompts and asking for self explanation and the modulating effect of the need for cognition (NC) on the two interventions. The effects of giving prompts and asking for self explanation were different depending on the task and the level of need for cognition. Participants of low NC conditions showed the prompt effect and the self explanation effect in the memory tests. On the other hand, participants in the high NC conditions performed better in the comprehension test when they were given prompts and were asked to self explain. However, high NC participants performed worse when they were asked to self explain without providing the prompts. The results were interpreted to suggest the importance of detecting the right parts in getting the self explanation effect.

Background : Patients who were discharged from the emergency department(ED) may revisit. These patients are divided into two groups; one is expected scheduled condition, the other is unexpected condition. These patients of inappropriate revisits to the ED would be unsatisfied, difficult to make rapport and take legal action as a result of additional medical charges. The purpose of this study was to reduce inappropriate revisits to the ED with a new method which was developed by analyzing inappropriate revisits in 2002. Methods : This study was conducted in a tertiary hospital consisting of 1,278 beds. The most common cause of inappropriate revisits was the medical team's lack of explanation about a disease. Thus we decided that the effective method was to offer full explanations to patients to understand the clinical pathway of a disease. We made four types of stickers to explain most common 4 diseases in 2003. An emergency physician completed 'discharge explanation report' and explained it to patients in 2004. Results : In 2002 inappropriate revisited patients were 164, patients with four diseases were 79. During the same period of 2003, inappropriate revisited patients were 56 (-65.9%), four disease patients were 6 (-92.4%) and in 2004 inappropriate revisited patients were 52, four disease patients were 19. Causes of revisits were lack of explanation about a disease in 35 patients (44.3%) in 2003, and 5 patients (83.3%) in 2003, and 16 patients (84.2%). Conclusions : Application of 'explanation stickers' at discharge reduced inappropriate revisits from 34.5% in 2002 to 15.9% in 2003. Application of 'Discharge explanation report' by emergency physician reduced inappropriate revisits from 15.9% in 2003 to 13.5% in 2004. Reduction of inappropriate revisits elevated the quality of medical treatment, and decreased patients' dissatisfaction in ED.

Objectives: This study was conducted to develop and validate Eating Behaviors Test form (EBT) for infants and young children, including eating behaviors of their parents and parental feeding practices. Methods: Draft version of EBT form was developed after a pretest on 83 mothers. It was consisted of 42 questions including 3 components; eating behavior of children, eating behavior of parents, and parental feeding practices. Using these questionnaires, the first survey was conducted on 320 infants and children, 1 to 6 year old, for exploratory factor analysis, and the second survey was collected on 731 infants and children for confirmatory factor analysis. Results: Exploratory factor analysis on 42 questions of EBT form resulted in 3 factor model for children's eating behavior, 3 factor model for parents' eating behavior, and 1 factor model for parental feeding practices. Three factors for children's eating behavior could be explained as follows; factor 1, pickiness (reliability ${\alpha}=0.89$; explanation of variance=27.79), factor 2, over activity (${\alpha}=0.80$, explanation of variance=16.51), and factor 3, irregularity (${\alpha}=0.59$, explanation of variance=10.01). Three factors for mother's eating behavior could be explained as follows; factor 1,irregularities (${\alpha}=0.73$, explanation of variance=21.73), factor 2, pickiness (${\alpha}=0.65$, explanation of variance= 20.16), and factor 3, permissiveness (${\alpha}=0.60$, explanation of variance=19.13). Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed an acceptance fit for these models. Internal consistencies for these factors were above 0.6. Conclusions: Our results indicated that EBT form is a valid tool to measure comprehensive eating and feeding behaviors for infants and young children.
In medical litigation, there are various cases where a doctor's 'explanation' of a patient becomes problematic. Medical explanations and guidance are required from the doctor, starting from the beginning of diagnosis, through treatment processes such as surgery, when hospitalization is necessary for treatment, during hospitalization, upon discharge, and after discharge. Furthermore, notification from the doctor or medical institution may be requested regarding the economic costs that will be incurred due to medical treatment. South Korea's judiciary has been developing legal principles regarding such doctor's explanations by distinguishing between explanations for obtaining consent for medical treatment and medical explanations related to guidance on patient treatment methods, taking into account related laws such as the stage of treatment and the Medical Service Act. Additionally, the Constitutional Court recently ruled on the non-benefit cost notification system linked to the explanation of economic costs. However, holding a doctor accountable solely because the doctor's explanation was insufficient has aspects that do not correspond to the actual situation in clinical reality, and may have a reflexive disadvantage that results in a decline in legal rights. Therefore, the doctor's explanation needs to be examined from both perspectives: guaranteeing the patient's right to self-determination and protecting his or her right to decision.

In this study, we analyzed the explanation of the concepts related to osmotic pressure and semipermeable membrane that were represented in chemistry and biology textbooks of high school and general course of college. There were 4 types of explanation in osmotic pressure and 3 types of semipermeable membrane concept. Students can understand the concepts with different meaning because there are different viewpoints on the explanations of the concepts. We must consider the various types of explanation when we design science textbooks because these confusions disturb students' understanding of the concepts.
The present study investigated what combination of three form-focused options - explicit explanation, production practice, and corrective feedback - may be effective in helping low-proficiency learners improve accuracy in communicative writing. The subjects were 34 Korean university students enrolled in 'Business English 1' and the study lasted 11 weeks. The relative clause structure was selected as the target structure. The study found that the combination of explicit explanation, sentence-level production practice, communicative writing practice, and recasts had a significantly greater effect on improved accuracy than the combination of communicative writing practice and recasts and that of explicit explanation, communicative writing practice, and recasts. Because the second and third combinations didn't lead to significantly improved accuracy, it can be concluded that of the form-focused options forming the first combination sentence-level production practice made a decisive contribution to the significant increase in accuracy. It also found that the provision of self-correcting opportunities before providing recasts on errors committed in sentence-level production practice resulted in significantly greater accuracy in communicative writing than the provision of recasts alone on them. The results of the study suggest that we should make low-proficiency Korean learners have sentence-level production practice which is intensive and focused and make them self-correct targeted errors before providing them with narrowly focused recasts in order to help them to improve writing accuracy.
