고령자의 이동변기에 대한 사용성평가 지표 개발 : 사례 연구 (Developing an Index of Usability to Evaluate Utilization of Mobile Toilets among the Elderly: A Case Study)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop an index of usability that reflects the needs and characteristics of the elderly. The usability index is used primarily to assess issues in the usability of a product. Methods : In this study, 22 items for mobile toilet usability index were developed by consulting with 12 elderly users, 6 caregivers, and 12 experts. The usability evaluation index was intended to increase reliability through preliminary and main evaluations. In addition, the validity of the items used as the usability evaluation index was verified to prove that the index is effective for the evaluation. Result : The usability index is a welfare tool developed by gathering data from various sources such as previous studies dealing with usability evaluation, characteristics of users, range of use, and environment of product use. Conclusion : The development of the usability index for mobile toilets was useful for the user to quantitatively derive the problem of the product. Consequently, user needs and usability problems can be identified, which can help improve product quality.

VE제안의 가치향상 유형별 수치적 범위기준 제시 (Numerical Range Criteria for Classification of Value Engineering Proposals based on Value Improvement Types)

  • Since its introduction in Korea, design VE has widely been used as a means to enhance values in the construction industry. However, a greater emphasis is still placed on cost reduction in approach attitudes and performance evaluations on the implementation of design VE. In this regard, this study presented a performance evaluation method for cost, function, and value of VE proposals. Numerical criteria on the increase and decrease of cost and function that can classify the value enhancement type of VE proposals were proposed based on the performance evaluation method. It is expected that the use of numerical criteria for the type classification of VE proposal, and cost and performance evaluation method proposed in this study will make it possible to conduct a clear and more intuitive evaluation of VE proposal. However, it is appropriate to use the numerical criteria as a guideline to apply the new performance evaluation method for VE proposals. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a statistical analysis with a wider range of users after the repeated application of the findings of this study, and thus to carry out research for presenting the numerical criteria for various types of users.

인공지능 음성사용자 인터페이스 사용성 평가 기준 검증 : 중국 내비게이션 VUI를 중심으로 (Verification of AI Voice User Interface(VUI) Usability Evaluation : Focusing on Chinese Navigation VUI)

  • After arranging the general usability evaluation criteria of existing VUI researchers, this study verified how appropriate these criteria are for AI VUI specialized in navigation and the priority of their suitability. The VUI used in this study was analyzed through a survey from a total of 195 Chinese users after analyzing the navigation VUI used in China. As a result of the analysis, the usability evaluation criteria of the navigation VUI were extracted from three sub-factors of 'task accuracy', 'function satisfaction', and 'information reliability' in verifying conformance with general VUI evaluation criteria. With the recent advent of self-driving cars, safety and response speed are becoming very important, so Chinese users also ranked responsiveness as the top priority in VUI design, and the importance was also found to be high. Also, both men and women have the highest reactivity and the lowest multiplicity. VUI requires a convenient and natural interface to understand the intention between two objects through usability evaluation and verification in order to have effective interaction between humans and machines.

통근·통학형 자전거 이용시설 평가지표 개발 (A Development of the Evaluation Criteria for Bicycle's Facilities of Attending Work and School Trip)

  • 본 연구는 통근 통학시 자전거 이용환경 평가할 수 있는 평가모형을 개발하여 평가지표를 통해서 현재 자전거 이용환경을 평가하고 향후 개선사항 및 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 평가지표 개발방향은 자전거 이용자들의 필요성, 새로운 정책 반영, 종합 평가지표 구축, 관련연구 검토와 같이 크게 4가지 측면에서 통근 통학 자전거 이용환경 평가지표 개발방향을 정립한 후 기존 평가지표 검토 및 FGI를 통해 1차 평가항목을 선정하고, 평가지표의 적합성 검증을 통해 최종평가지표를 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과를 간략히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 자전거 이용평가에서 존별 평가를 적용하여 존 단위의 개선점 제시, 둘째 GIS를 이용한 시설물 현황 및 모형분석 결과 제시, 셋째 스파이더 맵을 이용한 각 존별 주요항목 결과의 비교를 명확히 하였다.

거주 후 평가를 통한 대학 학생식당 환경 개선요인 - 대전 W대학 사례를 중심으로 - (Environment Improvement factors of the College Cafeteria by the Post Occupancy Evaluation - Focused on W college in Daejeon -)

  • The cafeteria is one of the welfare facilities in the college and crowed with students during lunchtime because of the various menu, saying time and cheap price. In designing the cafeteria, we have to consider the users' needs and the factors which effect on their satisfaction and behavior under the pleasant environment. The purpose of this study is to draw the environmental improvement factors by Post Occupancy Evaluation. A survey about the users' actual condition and environmental satisfaction level and a behavior observation in the field were utilized as the study methode. The 150 copies of questionnaire were completed by students who ate at the cafeteria of W college in Daejeon city. The SPSS 15.0 for Windows was used for a statistical analysis. The results are listed below; two factors were drawn as the improvement elements through the combination of the unsatisfactory items obtained by the descriptive statistics and the influential items by the multi-regression analysis. They are images and approach. In the 'image' category, there us a statistical difference between the present image and prefer image. The users prefer much brighter, warmer, newer, more gorgeous, more cheerful, more clear, more active, more comfortable, and more modern image of cafeteria. In the 'approach', the location of ail existing cafeteria is inaccessible from the classrooms in spite of an important relationship between classrooms and cafeteria. Therefore the complementary plan for convenient approach is demanded for improvement of users' satisfaction.

M2M 애플리케이션 서비스를 위한 하이브리드형 신뢰 평가 모델 (Hybrid Trust Computational Model for M2M Application Services)

  • IoT 환경의 최종 사용자 도메인에서 점점 더 많은 수의 지능형 M2M(Machine-to-Machine Communication) 장치가 애플리케이션 서비스를 생성하고 공유하기 위한 자원을 제공한다. 따라서 기존의 중앙집중식 서비스 제공자의 역할을 P2P 환경의 최종 사용자에게 이전하여 신뢰를 관리하는 것은 매우 유용할 수 있다. 그러나 최종 사용자가 독립적으로 서비스를 제공하거나 소비하는 비중앙집중식 M2M 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 상호간의 신뢰 구축이 가장 중요한 요인이 된다. 오작동하는 서비스를 구축하려는 악의적인 사용자들이 IoT와 같은 M2M 컴퓨팅 환경에서 보안문제를 야기할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 M2M 애플리케이션 서비스의 신뢰 평가를 위한 통합적인 분석과 접근방식을 제공하고, M2M 커뮤니티의 사용자들 사이의 신뢰도를 보장할 수 있는 최적화된 신뢰 평가 모델을 제시한다.

대학기록관 이용자의 기록정보서비스 인식에 관한 연구: J교육대학교를 중심으로 (A Study on Users' Perceptions of Archival Reference Services in a University Archive)

  • 본 연구는 J교육대학교 기록관 이용자들을 대상으로 기록정보서비스에 대한 인식 및 경험을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 서비스 개선방안을 도출하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 아카이브 매트릭스 프로젝트(Archival Metrics Project)에서 대학기록관의 기록정보서비스를 평가하기 위해 개발한 이용자 설문지를 수정하여 사용하였으며 이용자들의 기록관에 대한 인식, 이용현황, 직원에 대한 평가, 시설 및 서비스에 대한 만족도 등을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 47명에 대한 이용자 설문 결과와 기록연구사와의 면담결과를 바탕으로 기록관의 서비스 개선방안을 제안하였다.

ESTIM : 사용자 직무지식에 기반한 인터페이스 평가 지원시스템 (ESTIM : A Support System for Task-based Evaluation of User Interface)

  • Evaluation of user interfaces has to be performed in an intuitive and subjective manner by experts especially when the problem comes to the complexity and consistency of sophisticated interface procedures. The manual analysis and evaluation of logical interfaces also tends to be slow and laborious. To make the evaluation more formal and objective, the criteria and the procedure with which the evaluation can proceed must be explicitly prescribed. Furthermore, to make the formal procedure as practical as subjective expert evaluation, the criteria must reflect the user knowledge of the target tasks since the task knowledge plays the role of a basis for users to understand the interface organizations and procedures. This paper describes ESTIM, a support system for task-based evaluation of user interface, that includes the interface evaluation criteria and implies an evaluation procedure. The support system can be used either in an interactive manner by the analyst during the evaluation or in an automatic evaluation mode. It was verified that the result of automatic evaluation by ESTIM matched the results of expert evaluation fairly well.

ODA 지원 베트남 중부 꽝남성 종합병원의 거주후 평가 (Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Central Hospital in Quang Nam Province of Vietnam Funded by Korean ODA)

  • Purpose: This is the ex-post evaluation on "the Central General Hospital in Quang Nam Province in Vietnam" funded by Korean ODA. Through this evaluation, this study tries to explore useful ways to improve the effectiveness of Korean ODA projects related to hospital establishment. Methods: Field survey and analysis of questionaire to the staffs and patients of Quang Nam Province General Hospital were conducted twice in 2012 and 2014 after the completion of the Hospital. Two sets of surveys and questionaire outcomes have been comparatively analysed by statistics in order to seek the trend of satisfaction level of hospital users and find out the improvement way in hospital design and construction. Results: The satisfaction level on the hospital was relatively high and that of 2014 is higher than that of 2012. The satisfaction level of the users was recorded in Likert 5 scales. Continuous facility complement and maintenance is considered as the main contributor in increasing the satisfaction level of users. As far as the satisfaction level of outpatient is concerned, that of 2012 was recorded as 3.65 and that of 2014 was 4.05. In case of inpatient, the satisfaction level on the hospital in 2012 was 3.76, and 4.06 in 2014. Implications: In overseas hospital projects, proper hospital project management system including medical service plan, strategic plan, brief, design & construction and maintenance have to be put together effectively and efficiently for the success of the hospital project. At the same time local climate, culture, building material and local code have to be considered in order to build sustainable hospital.

패션제품 대여 서비스 이용자의 구매의사결정과정과 의복 쇼핑성향에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on Purchase Decision Making Process and Clothing Shopping Orientation of Fashion Products Rental Service Users)

  • This study identified the characteristics of fashion rental service users as well as analyzed their purchase decision-making processes. A qualitative investigation was conducted through in-depth interviews with 13 women in their 20s-30s who have experienced renting fashion items due to a high interest in fashion. The results of the study are summarized as follows. The need recognition stage analyzed ventilation by mass media, SNS impact, curiosity, saving shopping time and money, awareness of situational necessity, and creation of various styles. The information search stage analyzed how users obtained information from 2 different sources of nonmarketer-dominated sources and marketer-dominated sources. The pre-purchase stage analyzed the evaluation of alternatives in which study participants used 2 evaluation criteria for fashion rental services and fashion rental items. The purchase stage analyzed how participants wait and select desired items (when receiving the notification of rentable items) or select alternative products. The consumption stage examined the usage frequency and usage method. The study divided the post-consumption evaluation stage into 2 categories for evaluation: personal feelings and service. The post-consumption behavior stage analyzed how participants displayed WOM, eWOM and purchase rental product behavior. Clothing shopping orientation of study participants is displayed in 5 dimensions of brand-seeking propensity, individuality-seeking propensity, economic efficiency-seeking propensity, rationality-seeking propensity, and pleasure-seeking propensity. This study identified three main characteristics in the study participants: interest in the fashion, favorable attitude toward used fashion items, consciousness of others.
