The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching/learning model for the mathematical enculturation of elementary and secondary school students. It is clear that the development of teaching and learning in the classroom is essential for the realization of global innovations in mathematics education. Research questions for this purpose are as follow: (1) What can be learned from literatures reviews of the socio-cultural perspective on mathematics education, and of ethnomathematics as a mathematics intrinsic to cultural activities? (2) What is the direction of teaching and learning from the perspective of mathematical enculturation? (3) What is the teaching /learning model for mathematical enculturation? (4) What is the instructional exemplification based on the developed model? This study promotes the establishment of mathematics education theory from the review of literatures on the socio-cultural perspective, the development of a teaching/learning model, and the instructional exemplification based on the developed model.

본 연구는 결혼이주여성에 대한 문화적응 유형을 파악하고, 이 유형들의 삶의 만족도에 대한 영향을 확인하기 위한 실증적 연구다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 통해 문화적응유형을 동화 요인, 변화 요인, 주변화 요인, 분리 요인 등으로 구분하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 광주광역시에 거주하는 결혼이주여성을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하고, 통계프로그램을 활용해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 문화적응유형들 중 통합 요인, 동화 요인 등이 결혼이주여성들의 삶의 만족도에 정(+)적인 영향을 그리고 분리 요인은 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 결혼이주여성들이 우리나라에 잘 적응하면서 살아갈 수 있도록 결혼이주여성의 본국 가족, 친구 등과의 교류장치 개발, 또한 한국 사람들과 어울릴 기회 확대, 한국 사람들의 친근한 처우와 교류 촉진 등이 필요하다. 또한 한국에서의 거시적 정부정책도 동화주의 정책 보다는 다문화주의를 지향할 필요도 있다. 본 연구는 표본의 지역적 한계, 삶의 만족도에 대한 영향 변수의 한계, 횡단적 연구로의 한계 등으로 앞으로는 더 폭넓고 깊은 연구가 필요하다.

This study explored the role of Korean immigrant churches as a social context for Korean American youths, with a specific focus on its role in ethnic socialization. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 23 Korean American young adults. The results show that such churches serve as a salient social context for Korean American youths in which day-to-day lives are deeply integrated. Specifically, they serve as a salient context for coethnic peer relationships and family interactions. Moreover, Korean immigrant churches play a salient role as an agent of enculturation for Korean American youths by engaging them in cultural socialization, constructing and transmitting immigrant discourse, and providing a coethnic community. Taken as whole, findings suggest a distinct and salient role of immigrant churches in the lives of Korean American youths and highlight the importance of studying the social context specific to the children of immigrants.

사물놀이/풍물굿은 해외 한인들에게는 민족정체성의 상징이다. 한인사회의 각종 행사에서 사물놀이/풍물굿은 한국문화의 대표적 디아스포라 음악으로 자리매김한다. 한편으로 해외에서 사물놀이/풍물굿은 한국인뿐만 외국인도 즐기는 글로벌음악으로 성장했다. 해외에서 결성된 각종 음악공동체를 통해 사물놀이/풍물굿은 '전통과 변형', '정통성과 혼종성'의 담론을 통해 문화변용과 문화적응의 문화이주 현상을 극명하게 보여준다. 이 글에서는 캐나다 토론토에서 활동하는 풍물패 '비춰주네'의 문화적·음악적 정체성을 통해 풍물굿의 문화이주 현상을 밝혔다. 이 글에서 논의하는 캐나다 토론토의 풍물패 '비춰주네'는 외국인 상쇠에 의해 조직된 단체이다. 외국인들에게 풍물굿은 월드뮤직의 한 갈래로서 쉽게 배울 수 있는 음악이다. 그렇기에 월드뮤직에 관심 있는 외국인들에게 풍물굿은 접근이 어렵지 않다. 현재 이 단체는 외국인과 한인이 함께 어우러지는 개방적 '음악공동체'를 지향한다. 그러면서도 풍물굿의 전통성과 정통성을 유지하려는 노력을 경주한다. 각종 교재와 인터넷 시청각자료를 활용하여 가락의 정통성을 유지하면서 변형과 혼종성이라는 문화변용이 작용하지 않는다. 오히려 한인뿐만 아니라 외국인이 함께 참가하면서 한국음악의 세계화를 촉진시킨다. 풍물패 '비춰주네'의 공연 사례를 통해 캐나다에서의 풍물굿의 문화적응을 살펴보았다. 진보적 주류사회에서 주최하는 공연과 보수적 한인사회에서 주최하는 공연의 대비를 통해 풍물굿에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 진보적 외국인 감상층은 풍물굿의 민중적 본성을 이해한다. 보수적 한인 감상층은 풍물굿의 전통적 본질을 받아들이지만, '소란'한 음악적 · 음향적 요인은 받아들이기가 쉽지 않다. 결국 풍물굿의 긍정적/부정적 수용은 외국인/한인이라는 민족적 요인보다는 진보적/보수적이라는 사상적 성향이 중요하게 작동한다.

이 연구는 중학생들을 대상으로 비교과 동아리 활동인 과학 잡지 제작 활동을 통해 다양한 학습자의 참여 형태가 어떻게 변화하며 이에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문화기술연구 방법을 활용하여 14개월 동안 수행되었으며, 연구 참여자는 과학 잡지 편집부에 자원한 중학생 24명과 연구자인 지도교사로, 학생들은 학교 주변의 동식물 관찰, 궁금했던 과학현상 탐구, 과학자 만나보기 등을 기반으로, 편집부 웹 사이트 운영 및 과학 잡지 기사쓰기 활동을 수행하였다.연구 결과 학습자의 참여는 과학 잡지 편집부라는 실행 공동체에 대한 참여의 정도에 따라 주변적 참여,이행기의 참여, 완전한 참여라고 하는 3단계를 거쳐 발달하는 것으로 나타났으며, 완전한 참여로 발달해감에 따라 과학 잡지 제작 활동에 대한 개인적 흥미발생, 가치 부여와 함께, 메타 인지적 글쓰기와 자발적 학습 증진, 과학 잡지 기자로서의 정체성 형성 등을 보였다. 학습자의 참여 발달에 영향을 미친 요인으로는 학습 환경 요인으로 제공된 과학 잡지 글쓰기의 속성, 교사 요인으로 제공된 스캐폴딩, 그리고 가장 중요한 학습자 요인으로 탐구와 글쓰기를 즐기고 가치를 부여하는 과정 등이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 다양한 흥미, 호기심을 가진 학생들이 과학 잡지 글쓰기를 통해 과학에 대한 긍정적 태도를 형성하고, 반성적, 메타 인지적 사고를 경험하며 자발적 학습으로 이행하게 된다는 연구 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 학습자의 과학적 소양을 함양시키는 것과 함께, 평생 학습 사회를 살게 될 학습자들을 위한 자발적 공동체 구성, 참여, 실행의 경험을 제공함으로써, 보다 학습자 정체성에 입각한 진정한 학습의 가능성을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

This study develops an the ideal portrait of a human being pursuing in home economics education from a critical science perspective. The practical problem is 'what should the ideal portrait of a human being pursuing in home economics education with a critical science perspective be?' was addressed through a practical reasoning research method with the stages of valued ends, context, alternatives, consequence, and a final plan. The sequential flow of understanding values and contexts established the setting of three valued ends by organizing issues and categorized areas of individuals, families, society, and cultural from a critical science perspective. The ideal portrait of human being was specifically stated, in the self-formation, independent, inter-subjectivity, social participation, and enculturation according to subcategories; in addition, the stated ideal portrait of human being was modified through expert consultations. Alternatives and consequences were reexamined for the validity of the statement and restated as a comprehensive statement of ideal portrait of a human being that included a restatement of the five areas. An ideal portrait of a human being pursuing in home economics education from a critical science perspective was made from alternative ideal portraits of the proposed human being and stated as 'a person who can continually act autonomously in one's life-world.'

The purpose of this study is to explore the ways in which scientists reflect on the scientific practices, based on the premise that reflection is one of key elements for shaping scientific identities. This paper specifically considers scientists' reflections as the processes in which their senses of ethical issues and the value of science are articulated. To do so, the study developed a narrative inquiry for exploring the value of scientists' stories. Fourteen professional scientists' stories were collected in the context of the stem cell research, in ways that foreground their reflections on current scientific practices and the surrounding socio-cultural conditions. As for ethical issues, scientists' stories were analysed in terms of four claims regarding the themes of bioethics, integrity, scientific issues and communication. Furthermore, scientists' reflections on the value of science were analysed in relation to the elements of nature of science. Based on the results, discussion focused on the value of science stories as an instrument with which to guide students into the enculturation in the practices of scientific culture.

이 연구는 과학교육에서 논의의 본성(the Nature of Argumentation in Science education, NAS)을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 현재까지 국내·외 과학교육 분야에서 논의를 주제로 수행된 선행연구들을 수집한 후 이를 고찰하여 과학교육에서 논의의 특징을 추출하였다. 이후 전문가 검토를 실시하여 과학교육에서 논의의 본성을 '증거 기반', '언어적 상호작용', '맥락 의존성', '공적 의사결정', '잠정적 합의', '방법론적 다양성' 및 '과학 문화의 내면화'의 총 7가지 측면에서 제안하였다. 과학교육에서 논의의 본성에 대한 이해는 과학 학습에서 논의의 실천을 증진시킬 수 있다. 따라서 추후 연구에서는 과학 학습에서 논의의 효과적인 실천을 위하여 과학교육에서 논의의 본성을 확장하고 정교화하기 위한 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 한국 다문화 가정 학생의 문제행동 관련요인을 분석한 체계적 문헌고찰 연구이다. 체계적 문헌고찰은 국내 데이터베이스인 한국연구정보서비스, 한국학술정보서비스와 국회전자도서관의 온라인 검색을 통해 2018년 7월 4일까지 검색된 국내문헌을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 검색어는 다문화와 문제행동 혹은 행동문제로 하였다. 그 결과, 총 2,084편이 검색되었고, 최종 21편이 분석에 이용되었다. 분석결과, 다문화 가정 학생의 문제행동 관련 요인으로 개인적 요인(성별, 학업성적, 자아존중감 등), 가족적 요인(가족의 유형, 부모지지, 어머니의 문화적응스트레스 등), 환경적 요인(친구지지, 교사지지, 사회적지지)의 변수들이 관련요인으로 파악되었다. 또한, 한국 다문화 가정 학생의 문제행동을 측정한 변수는 학교생활적응이 10편으로 가장 많았고, 심리적, 사회적 적응 또는 부적응이 4편, 문제행동 또는 위험행동과 정서적 행동문제가 각각 3편으로 나타났다. 이를 근거로 다문화 가정 학생의 문제행동과 관련된 개인적, 가족적, 환경적 요인에 대한 중재를 통해, 문제행동 발생을 줄일 필요가 있으며, 이를 위한 사회적, 정책적 노력이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 또한 문제행동에 대해 보다 구체적이고 일관성 있는 이론적 정의를 근거로 도구를 개발하여, 문제행동을 정확히 측정하고, 이를 예방할 수 있는 교육적, 사회적 전략이 마련되어야 할 것이다.
