  • Recently, various prototypes for electronic commerce are realized and its related researches are active under the present condition which it is increasing for the reality of its extended applications. First of all, actual demands are increasing for more secure and efficient electronic payment systems. Electronic cash, one of the Electronic payment systems, must have several properties like real money. Blind signature scheme by D. Chaum stands for the methods of obtaining privacy. In this paper, we propose a method for obtaining the blind signature based on the Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems, where the crytosystems are known as solving some problems of conventional crytosystems in views of computation time and key space. Also, we present a method for the divisibility of the electronic cash using our proposal by re-signing spare cash. Thus applying the proposed method, we can develop an efficient electronic payment systems.

  • Convertible authenticated encryption (CAE) schemes enable the signer to send a confidential message and its corresponding signature to the designated recipient. The recipient can also convert the signature into a conventional one which can be verified by anyone. Integrating the properties of self-certified public key systems, this paper presents efficient and computationally indistinguishable self-certified CAE schemes for strengthening the security of E-Commerce applications. Additionally, we also adapt the proposed schemes to elliptic curve systems for facilitating the applications of limited computing power and insufficient storage space. The proposed schemes are secure against known existential active attacks, satisfy the semantic security requirement, and have the following advantages: (i) No extra certificate is required since the tasks of authenticating the public key and verifying the signature can be simultaneously carried out within one step, which helps reducing computation efforts and communication overheads. (ii) In case of a later dispute, the recipient can convert the signature into an ordinary one for the public arbitration. (iii) The signature conversion can be solely performed by the recipient without additional computation efforts or communication overheads. (iv) The recipient of the signature can prove himself, if needed, to anyone that he is actually the designated recipient.

  • This Paper is an experimental study on the effective dielectric constant of microstrip line. To quantify the dispersive effects on a microstrip line, the effective dielectric constant, which is the ratio of free space wavelength to guide wavelength, is calculated for teflon substrates. The calculation is based on the Fourier transform of the current distribution on microstrip line. Measurements of effective dielectric constant using a microstrip elliptic resonator and ring resonator are also described. As a result, the computed values of effective dielectric constant agree almost all with measured values, using ring and elliptic resonator, in case of w/h or the ratio of microstrip width to substrate thickness equal unity over frequency range of 8 to 12GHz.

  • A new analytic method has been developed for the analysis of sperm morphology using Hough transform. This method is based on the characteristic that sperm heads have elliptic shape in addition to the density difference with the background Sperm heads are represented in elliptic form with five parameter, and the optimal parameters are estimated by iterative Hough transform. To reduce processing time practically, we restricted the transformed space in minimum volume and moved the searching volume to the maximum gradient for the estimated error. Morphological parameters were calculated from estimated sperm head boundaries without further processing.

  • This paper explored the effects of separation control through the use of pulsating jet blowing on a two dimensional elliptical airfoil. To develop an active control technique of flow separation, a flow control actuator utilizing continuous/pulsed jet of pressurized air was designed and installed in a wind tunnel testing model of elliptic wing. PIV measurement and flow visualization of the wing near field were conducted to access the feasibility and effectiveness of the pulsed jet blowing on controlling the stall of the elliptical wing in subsonic flow. PIV experimental results show that separation control can provide significant reduction in turbulent flow wake and separation bubbles by jet blowing. The pulsating jet blowing is more effective on the separation control than continuous one. Increased jet frequency suppressed the turbulent separated flow wake effectively at even higher AOAs.

  • Recently, lots of remote sensing satellite require agility to collect more images within the limited time frame. To satisfy this kind of mission requirement, high torque actuator such as CMG is an essential element. In this study, 5Nm class small CMG developed by KARI is introduced to implement for an agile small satellite design. One of the singularity escape CMG steering law, Designated Direction Escape (DDE) method, which is a sort of modified version of Singular Direction Avoidance (SDA) method is summarized for its application on the numerical simulation of agile attitude control system design result. The performance of DDE method is demonstrated properly by escaping well known elliptic internal singularity successfully. 5Nm class small CMG cluster in a pyramid type as well as a roof type configuration is utilized to perform the numerical simulation and to demonstrate its agility design result for a small satellite. Simulation result shows the properness of 5Nm small CMG to a small agile satellite system. Also, the simulation result provides some valuable information that is important to CMG hardware design and manufacturing.

  • This paper presents a finite element approach for determining the natural frequencies for planar inclined arches of various shapes vibrating in three-dimensional space. The profile of inclined arches, represented by undeformed centriodal axis of cross-section, is defined by the equation of plane curves expressed in the rectangular coordinates which are : circular, parabolic, sine, elliptic, and catenary shapes. In free vibration state, the arch is slightly displaced from its undeformed position. The linear relationship between curvature-torsion and axial strain is expressed in terms of the displacements in three-dimensional space. The finite element discretization along the span length is used rather than the total are length. Numerical results for arches of various shapes are given and they are in good agreement with those reported in literature. The natural frequency parameters and mode shapes are reported as functions of two nondimensional parameters: the span to cord length ratio (e) and the rise to cord length ratio (f).

  • Automatic human face detection in a complex background is one of the difficult problems In this paper. we propose an effective automatic face detection system that can locate the face region in natural scene images when the system is used as a pre-processor of a face recog- nition system. We use two natural and powerful visual cues, the color and the human head shape. The outline of the human head can be generally described as being roughly elliptic in nature. In the first step of the proposed system, we have tried the approach of fitting the best Possible ellipse to the outline of the head In the next step, the method based on the human skin color space by selecting flesh tone regions in color images and histogramming their r(=R/(R+G+B)) and g(=G/R+G+B)) values. According to our experiment. the proposed system shows robust location results

  • This paper deals with space Beltrami system with three characteristic matrices in even dimensions, which can be regarded as a generalization of space Beltrami system with one and two characteristic matrices. It is transformed into a nonhomogeneous $p$-harmonic equation $d^*A(x,df^I)=d^*B(x,Df)$ by using the technique of out differential forms and exterior algebra of matrices. In the process, we only use the uniformly elliptic condition with respect to the characteristic matrices. The Lipschitz type condition, the monotonicity condition and the homogeneous condition of the operator A and the controlled growth condition of the operator B are derived.
