교육과정 질 관리를 위한 초·중학교 수학교육 실태 분석 (A analysis of the elementary school and the middle school mathematics education as a curriculum quality-management)

  • 본 연구에서는 교육과정 질 관리의 측면에서 의무교육 대상인 초등학교와 중학교의 수학 교육 실태를 분석하여 교육과정의 투입, 과정, 산출 단계의 측면에서 질 관리가 되어야 할 주요 내용을 중심으로 학생, 학부모, 교사 대상 설문을 실시하였다. 설문 결과, 첫째, 투입 단계에서 초등학생들은 학습량이, 중학생은 내용 수준의 어려움이 있음이 나타났다. 둘째, 과정 단계에서 초등학교 교사들이 중학교 교사들에 비하여 교육과정 상의 교수 학습 방법을 더 잘 이행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 산출 단계에서 학생 및 학부모의 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역의 만족도가 초등학교보다 중학교에서 낮은 것으로 나타났지만, 응답 평균은 두 학교급에서 모두 높은 편이었다. 이상을 고려하여 추후 새교육과정이 교육 현장에 적용될 때에 학교급별로 나타난 문제점을 해소할 수 있는 방법이 마련되어야 하고, 궁극적으로 교육과정 질 관리를 위한 수단으로서 교육과정이 개정될 수 있는 체제가 마련되어야 할 것이다.

학부모의 학교급식 모니터링 현황 및 학교급식에 대한 신뢰도 (Current Status of Parents' Monitoring of and Level of Trust in School Lunch Programs)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of parents' monitoring of school lunch programs and to examine the relationship of parents' school lunch monitoring with their level of trust in school lunch programs. Methods: During November 2016, a web survey was conducted with 1,283 parents who had participated in monitoring of school lunch programs. A total of 621 parents completed the questionnaires (48.4% response rate) and the responses from 442 parents were analyzed (34.5% analysis rate) for elementary (n=196) and middle/high school parents (n=246), respectively. Results: Both the elementary and middle/high school parents most wanted to participate in monitoring 1~2 times per month, which was less frequent than their current practice. They showed the highest experience rate in 'food sanitation' area in both the prior training and actual practice of school lunch monitoring. They most responded 'increasing trust in school lunch programs' as a merit and 'lack of parents participating in monitoring' as a problem of school lunch monitoring. The average levels of trust did not differ between elementary and middle/high school parents. Multiple regression analyses showed that elementary school parents' level of satisfaction in the monitored school lunch programs was positively associated with the parents' level of trust in general school lunch programs. Monitoring frequency and parents' age, in addition to level of satisfaction in the monitored school lunch program, were associated with level of trust in general school lunch programs among middle/high school parents. Conclusions: There was room for change in parents' school lunch monitoring programs to meet parents' needs better. Well-managed school lunch monitoring programs contributing to parents' satisfaction with school lunch programs could increase parents' level of trust in school lunch programs.

초.중등 여학생의 성 성숙과 자기개념이 외모관심도와 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sexual Maturity and Self-Concept on Interest in Appearance and Appearance Management Behavior for Female Students in Elementary and Middle School)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초 중등 여학생의 외모관심도와 외모관리행동이 성 성숙, 자기개념과 어떠한 상관관계를 갖는지 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 서울지역의 초 중등 여학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외모관심도와 외모관리행동 모두 중학생이 초등학생보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생이 중학생보다 전체적으로 긍정적인 자기개념을 가지고 있었고 특히 가정자기가 유의하게 높았다. 셋째, Tanner Stage가 초등학생은 2,3단계로서 사춘기 초기 상태, 중학생은 3,4단계로서 성장 발육의 진행 상태에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 월경을 하는 학생의 비율이 초등학생은 33%에 불과한 반면, 중학생은 90%로 대부분이 월경을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 성 성숙에 대한 주관적인 느낌 역시 차이를 보여, 초등학생은 자신의 성 성숙 속도가 또래보다 빠르다고 느낄 때, 중학생은 느리다고 느낄 때 부정적인 느낌을 가졌다. 넷째, 초 중등 여학생의 외모관심도에 자기개념과 성 성숙이 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 초등학생은 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록 외모에 대한 관심이 높았다. 중학생은 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록, 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 성숙에 대한 느낌이 부정적일수록, 신체적 자기개념이 높을수록 외모에 대한 관심이 높았다. 또한 초 중등 여학생의 외모관리행동에 외모관심도와 자기개념 및 성 성숙이 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 초등학생은 외모관심이 높을수록 외모관리행동에 적극적이었다. 중학생의 외모관리행동은 외모에 대한 관심이 높을수록, 가정적 자기개념이 낮을수록, 사회적 자기개념이 높을수록 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다.

남제주군 학교급식대상 초.중등학생의 음식 기호와 영양소 섭취량의 비교 (Comparisons of Food Preference and Nutrient Intake of Students of Elementary School and Middle School Providing School Food Service in Nam Jeju Gun)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate differences of food preference and nutrient intake of students between elementary school and middle school in the same area and to provide data for better school food service. The subjects were 486 students, third to sixth grade of 3 elementary schools and first to second grade of 1 middle school in Nam jeju gun, Jeju, and the survey was conducted during June 1999. Food preference was assessed using questionnaires and 24-hour food intake was assessed using dietary record method. Data of weight and height were obtained from annual physical examination conducted at schools in May 1999. All the variables were compared among 3 groups in each gender: third and fourth grade elementary school(ES3,4), fifth and sixth grade elementary school(ES5,6), and first and second grade middle school(MS1,2). The results were summarized as follows. The average height, weight and BMI for the 3th grade boys in elementary schools met the national averages, but those of the others are below the national averages. Although general pattern of food preference looked similar among groups, food preference scores were significantly different among groups in 38 kinds foods for boys, and 27 kinds of foods for girls. MS1,2 group showed significantly lower food preference scores for most of foods as compared to those of ES3,4 and ES5,6 in both genders. Students of higher grade took more starch foods such as instant noodle, stewed rice cake and snacks. Average energy intakes of all the groups except MS1,2 girls were lower than recommended dietary allowances(RDA), and average intakes of protein, vitamins B1 and C met RDA, but the other nutrients were taken less than RDA and especially the intakes of iron, calcium and vitamins B2 were poor. Most of nutrients taken by school food service meal provided a major proportion of intakes. In conclusion, students of middle school were more particular about their foods served at school food service and marked lower food preference score than elementary school children and more conscious about their weight and appearance. These points should be reflected in planning food service menu at middle school.

참여디자인 기법을 활용한 다목적 공간의 계획방향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Guideline of Multi-purpose Space in Elementary and Middle Schools through Utilization of User Participation Method)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the planning guideline for the multi-purposed classroom in the elementary school and middle school using questionnaire and user participation method. As the user participation method, the design workshop in the study contains participation techniques, community action planning, and participation game. The design workshop used the design kit as a communication tool. Four user groups, selected from teachers and child in the elementary school and middle school, to be reconstructed, participated in a design workshop with design kit, and each group produced their own plans. The result of this study is as follows; (1) Teachers wanted multi-purposed classroom to be used by two classes. (2) The size of the multi-purposed classroom was preferred 1.5 times(30 py.) of the regular classroom. (3) By considering the characteristics of students it was required the open space in elementary, but required it to be separated from the regular classroom in middle school. (4) Through the analysis, we could grasp the processes that the users' needs were practically applied to design. Our design workshop method should be hereafter modified and advanced, but showed the usefulness in many aspects.

학동기 아동과 청소년의 도시와 농촌 지역 간 식생활 및 관련 요인 비교 분석 (A Comparative Study on Dietary Life and Associated Factors of School Children and Adolescents between Urban and Rural Area)

  • This Study was carried out to find out regional differences about dietary life and factors associated with meal of school children and adolescents between urban and rural area. Forty students from each of the nationwide 51 schools of three different levels(elementary, middle and high school) were surveyed by self-developed questionnaires. Total of 1,886 questionnaires (1,243 from urban and 681 from rural) were collected and distribution of subjects was 544 from elementary school, 661 from middle school, and 681 from high school. The results were summarized as follows. BMI and degree of satisfaction on body weight of elementary and middle school subjects were not significantly different between urban and rural area. But there were significant regional differences in $BMI(urban\;21.2{\pm}3.0,\;rural\;20.5{\pm}2.8,\;p<0.05)$ and degree of satisfaction on body weight of high school subjects(p<0.001). Elementary(p<0.01) and middle school(p<0.05) subjects in urban area had exercised more frequently than those in rural area. Regularity of having breakfast was not significantly different between urban and rural area at each of three different levels of school. Most subjects(urban 92.2%, rural 92.1%) had lunch regularly by virtue of school lunch service. Regularity of having dinner of elementary(p<0.01) and high school subjects (p<0.01) was significantly different between urban and rural area. Reason for skipping dinner of high school subjects was significantly different between urban and rural area (p<0.05). The most delicious meal was dinner for 51.8% of the urban high school subjects and lunch for 51.7% of the rural subjects. Only one third had intention of participating in school breakfast program regardless of region and levels of school. The findings suggested that nutrition education programs for school children and adolescents include different strategy according to region and levels of schools.

3차원 인체형상을 이용한 학령기 여아의 신체 치수 변화 특성 (Body Size Changes Characteristics of Elementary School Girls Using 3D Body Scan Data)

  • This study divided school age by considering a change in the stage of body growth by age in elementary schoolgirls with the use of body scan data, and considered by comparing body size characteristics by school age. Elementary schoolgirls' body shape cannot be divided clearly. However, ages 7-10 were bound into the same group for the majority of girth, width, and thickness items. 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, and 11-12 years old were bound into the same group in most items except ages 9 and 10 for the height item. Thus, significant difference was indicated between groups. Accordingly, this study divided the school age into three periods such as early stage(ages 7-8), middle stage(ages 9-10), and late stage(ages 11-12) in consideration of the stages for elementary schoolgirls' body-shape growth. As a result of analyzing body size according to division of school age, the higher school age leads to continuous growth. The notable growth was indicated especially in the middle stage and late stage. Examining centering on typical items related to the clothing construction, there was notable increase in waist thickness and hip thickness between early and middle stages and in height, weight, breast girth, waist circumference, back length, breast width, and waist width between middle and late stages. On the other hand, hip circumference, hip width, breast thickness, and length between shoulder edges were indicated to grow relatively and evenly among early, middle, and late stages. The lateral form was shown a clear difference in the forms of early, middle, and late stages in height and length of the whole body shape and in side thickness. The early and middle stages belong to body shape that abdomen is projected to be curved. The late stage showed right body shape which is straight and stable form in posture.

부산지역 학교유형별 영양(교)사의 지식요구도, 직무만족도 및 나트륨 급원재료 사용량 (The use Frequency and Amount of Food Sources of Sodium and Knowledge Requirement, and Job Satisfaction of Dietitians and Nutrition Teachers according to the School Types in Busan)

  • Objectives: To investigate the use frequency and amount of food sources of sodium and knowledge requirement, and job satisfaction with school food services according to the school types in Busan. Methods: A total of 98 schools were surveyed and knowledge requirement and job satisfaction were assessed using a questionnaire. In addition, the use frequency and amount of food sources of sodium for 10 school days were examined. Results: The response rate of the most difficult area among dietitians' tasks was significantly high in 'nutrition education and counseling' for elementary schools and 'hygiene management' for high schools (p < .05). The response rate of the factors to be considered in meal planning was significantly high in 'energy and nutrients requirement' for elementary schools and 'menu/taste preference of students' for middle and high schools (p < .05). The response rate of whether school food services affect health and eating habits of students or not was significant high in 'very helpful' for elementary schools (p < .001). The average sodium contents in the meals of elementary, middle and high schools was 1981.4 mg/meal/person/day, 1867.3 mg/meal/person/day and 1,329.9 mg/meal/person/day, respectively. For foods in highest sodium, Kimchi, Oribulgogi, and Kare rice were ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The main reason for not providing the fruits was 'price' among all groups. The knowledge requirement such as 'nutrition and menu management', 'nutrition education', and 'nutrition counseling' was significantly higher in elementary school compared with middle and high school (p < .001, p < .01, and p < .01 respectively). The dietitians and nutrition teachers of elementary schools have a higher job satisfaction compared with those of middle schools (p < .01). The job satisfaction was positively correlated with knowledge requirement of dietitians and nutrition teachers of elementary and middle schools. Conclusions: The results suggest that developing dietitians' education program about knowledge requirement contribute to increasing the school food service and job satisfaction in elementary and middle schools.

초·중학생의 생활양식과 주의력 결핍, 과잉행동/충동성, 인터넷 과다사용 간 관계에 관한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on the Relationship between Lifestyles and Inattention, Hyperactivity/Impulsivity, Internet Overuse in Elementary and Middle School Students)

  • 연구는 초 중학생의 주의력 결핍, 과잉행동/충동성, 인터넷 과다사용 등의 행동문제에 영향을 주는 생활양식 요인들을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 초등학생 889명과 중학생 676명의 자기-보고 자료와 학생의 주의력 결핍과 과잉행동 및 충동성 증상에 대한 담임교사의 보고를 분석에 사용하였다. 생활양식은 가족과의 상호작용 기회, 수면시간, TV 시청시간, 게임시간, 아침식사 횟수, 가공식품 섭취 횟수, 과외 횟수 및 시간으로 측정하였다. 단계적 회귀분석 결과, 초등학생과 중학생 모두에서 게임시간, 가공식품 섭취 횟수가 많을수록, 가족과의 상호작용 기회가 적을수록 주의력 결핍 증상이 높았다. 초등학생의 경우 게임시간 TV 시간, 가공식품 섭취횟수가 많을수록, 보호자와 함께 하는 시간이 적을수록 과잉행동 및 충동성이 높았지만, 중학생의 경우 생활양식 변인들은 과잉행동 및 충동성에 대한 설명량이 낮았다. 초등학생과 중학생 모두에서 게임 시간이 많을수록, 보호자와 함께 하는 시간이 적을수록 인터넷 과다사용 증상이 높았다. 본 연구는 청소년의 행동문제에 대한 게임 및 TV 사용, 가공식품 섭취의 영향력을 고려하고, 가족과의 상호작용을 높이는 방향의 중재를 제안한다.

대전광역시 초·중·고등학교의 에너지 사용에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on the Energy Consumption of Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Daejeon Metropolitan City)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the energy consumption of Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The main results are as follow: 1) Annual energy consumption per class was 12,825 (kWh/class) at elementary schools, 15,780 (kWh/class) at middle schools, and 29,447 (kWh/class) at high schools, 2) Generally the smaller the size of the school, the higher the energy consumption per class. However according to the HVAC system there was no consistent pattern of energy consumption per class. 3) According to Box and Whisker's Chart, distribution of energy consumption of elementary and middle schools' had small range. However, the range of high schools increased. 4) Energy consumption in winter season was larger than that of summer season in schools.
