Reliability Test and Evaluation of Air Spring for Railway Vehicle (철도차량용 공기스프링 신뢰성 시험 및 평가)

  • Air spring system was accepted for railway vehicle secondary suspension to reduce and absorb the vibration and noise. The low natural frequency ensures a comfortable ride and an invariably good stiffness. In this paper, the characteristics and durability test was conducted in laboratory by using servo-hydraulic fatigue testing system to reliability evaluation of air spring for electric railway vehicle. The experimental results show that the characteristics and durability of domestic development productions are obtained the good results. And to guarantee the adaption of air spring, the ride comfort and air pressure variation were measured in train test on subway line.

  • In this study, an aluminum bodyshell with a modular front end made of composite materials is numerically evaluated applying the standard specifications for the urban EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) train. Structural analyses under compressive load, torsional load and free vibration satisfy the standard specifications, but analysis under normal load doesn't. By the way, the aluminum bodyshell of the car except the modular front end is almost same to that of the Korean standard EMU, which satisfy the standard specifications. It is presumed that the stiffness of the modular front end made of composite materials has some influence on the strength of the aluminum bodyshell.

  • All electric trains in the city should be run without any troubles of the equipments in order to offer good services to the passengers. But some breakdowns occur when they are operated due to the long time uses. There are mechanical troubles and electrical troubles included reactors. Most of them, the reason of the troubles can be found out easily after breakdown. But it is difficult to find out the reasons of the reactor troubles which disappear after operation. The reactors of the train filter the current which supplied from electrical lines and supply the current to the inverter and block the ripple of the current. Partial discharge occur from the reactor by the heat. accordingly, If the signals of discharge were perceived, it could be anticipate the deterioration degree of insulation. In this paper, on-monitoring system for reactor's troubles in trains is established and the output results of monitoring system are investigated.

  • The Optimization has been performed to search an economical running pattern in the view point of trip time and energy consumption. Fuzzy control model have been applied to build the meta-model. To identify the structure and its parameters of a fuzzy model, fuzzy c-means clustering method and differential evolutionary scheme are utilized, respectively. As a result, two meta-models for trip time and energy consumption were constructed. The optimization to search an economical running pattern was achieved by differential evolutionary scheme. The result shows that the proposed methodology is very efficient and conveniently applicable to the operation of railway system.

  • Power system deregulation has become a worldwide trend which introduces competition in electric power system in order to realize efficient electricity production and investment. In this regards, it is very important to develop an electricity market simulator so that it is to analyze competitive market and train market operators and market participants. In this paper, we implement the algorithm of determining market clearing price as the first module of unique market simulator. The adopted and suggested algorithm is verified by modelling a simple market with a commercial market simulator(PLEXOS).

  • Winter weather condition can cause icing and ice coats on 25 kV overhead contact wire. This generates shocks at the mechanical interface of the collecting strips of the pantograph and the contact wire and extra electrical resistance, which may affect quality of current collection at the contact wire / collecting strips of pantograph interface. De-icing operations should he performed just before train operation to avoid the formation of another ice layer. Thus, the work in this paper is investigation and analysis of de-icing system which could be applied to the electric car line of railways.

  • In DC traction substation with 12-pulse diode rectifiers, the DC line voltage tends to rise above noload voltage because it can't absorb the regenerative power caused by electric brakes of train. To solve this problem, an IGBT regenerative inverter should be installed and recycles the surplus regenerative power by delivering it. to the supply grid. In this paper, the DC traction substation equipped with a IGBT regenerative inverter is studied using computer simulation. Matlab/simulink is used to simulate the operation of regenerative inverter which injects the regenerative power into the supply grid and stabilizes the DC line voltage. It is confirmed that the high quality regenerative power is delivered to the supply grid thorough computer simulation.

So far , power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high - speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of train set vehicles become important . In this paper , we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.

  • It is one of the most effective method for improving the performance of electric railway vehicles to make better the wheel-rail adhesion characteristics. To study adhesion characteristic is to develop the equivalent reduction machine to experiment on the adhesion system. The experiment system makes it possible to change the wheel-rail adhesion force with various adhesion parameters, and therewith to test the adhesion control system with the reduction machine in a laboratory. In this paper for improving adhesion performance show actually control methods.

  • The current collection between pantograph and contact wire is a more critical component for need to train speed up in electric railway. The basic purpose of this paper is to establish a measure of determining arc by developing an arc detector assessment system. The system was designed under conditions of EN 50317 and simulations were conducted using the developed device. According to the results, it was possible to conduct certification tests following regulations of international standards. To check the validity of our approach for the intended application, we analysis contact loss of catenary system using developed arcing measurement system in Korea. The proposed arcing measurement system is expected to enhance precision of current collection quality performance assessment methods at high-speed lines and conventional lines.
