The effect of Pre-training and Collaboration script types on Collaboration skills and Shared meatal model in CSCL (CSCL 환경에서 사전훈련과 협력 스크립트 유형이 협력능력과 공유정신모형에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was initiated with the need of studies to promote learning and use of collaboration skills that learners should have in collaborative learning in CSCL. The researcher carried out research on 96 students taking the course of 'educational methods and educational technology' in K collage to take a look at the impact of prior training on collaboration in CSCL and interaction of types of collaborative scripts. To answer the first research question, the scores of each group's chatting in collaborative learning process and messages represented in the process of task performance based on collaborative skills were measured and analyzed. In addition, to answer the second research question, the scores of each group's shared mental model formulation based on relevant evaluation standards were analyzed. This study results, First, there was no significant difference in the acquisition of collaboration skills caused by interaction of prior training on collaboration and collaboration skills and collaborative scripts. However, it turned out that types of collaborative scripts give significant impacts on acquisition of collaboration skills. Second, there was also no significant difference between prior training on collaboration and the formulation of shared mental model by the interaction of collaborative scripts. However, it is showed that types of collaborative scripts have significant impacts on the formation of shared mental model.

A Study on Satisfaction of New Nurse Orientation Program Applying CIPP Evaluation Model Focusing on Affiliated Hospitals of an Educational Foundation in South Korea. (CIPP평가모형을 적용한 신규 간호사 입문교육 만족도에 관한 연구: 일 학교법인 산하 대학병원을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to analyze new nurse satisfaction and factors of the new nurse orientation program and improve their effectiveness. The CIPP evaluation model was applied in this study to assess each module of the program systematically. The respondents of the survey were 452 of five affiliated hospitals of an educational foundation. The respondents' perceptions were 'Senior', 'Operating', 'Introduction', 'Unity', 'Usefulness', and 'Needs' (from highest to lowest). Multiple regression analysis indicated that 'Operating', 'Unity', 'Usefulness', and 'Hospital Introduction' had a significant impact on satisfaction. The results presented herein indicate that planners and operators should improve effectiveness of new nurse orientation programs by enhancing sense of unity, instilling confidence as a nurse, and increasing personal utilization of subjects.

The Effects of Health Education on Treatment Compliance of Patients with High Blood Pressure and Diabetes in Private Clinics (개인 의료기관에 내원한 고혈압 및 당뇨병환자에게 실시한 건강교육이 치료 순응도에 미치는 영향)

  • To provide fundamental educational materials for the effective management of patients with high blood pressure and diabetes in korea, and to expand the scope of such educational businesses the survey was administered between September 2007 and February 2008 to 1,213 consenting patients suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes in private medical centers within Daejeon in Korea. The patients were provided with standardized education materials and were monitored whether they were conducting a controlled management of their blood pressure and diabetes level as well as monitoring changes in their daily routine. Out of the 1,213 patients, 51.3% of the patients suffered only from high blood pressure, 26.3% suffered only from diabetes and 22.4% suffered from both high blood pressure and diabetes (Condor difference was not considered in this research). Physical education was the most commonly used education upon visitation to these medical centers, which was then followed by eating habits and weight management, respectively. The education demanded and preferred from the patients was similar to the education provided during the visitations. 56.7% of the medical doctors responded that the majority of the patients were passive in controlling and managing their illnesses. 63.7% of the participants believed that the education provided through this research was effective.

  • Problem-based learning (PBL) appears to be a superior and effective strategy to train competent and skilled practitioners and to promote long-term retention of knowledge and skills acquired during the learning experience. This study concerns the implementation of PBL in the online environment and face-to-face PBL. An online environment allows participants to communicate with one another, view presentations or videos, interact with other participants, and engage with resources in work groups. Nowadays, education is accessible everywhere with the use of digital devices. Educational institutions subscribe to GSuite for Education, and Google introduced its Google Classroom as an e-learning platform. This study aims to analyze Google Classroom and to design PBL for Mongolian students taking Korean courses. The main objective of this paper is to identify the usability and evaluation of Google Classroom. The result of this study will be a proposed e-learning platform for Dornod University, Mongolia, which is initially needed in the Natural Science and Business Department.

The Successful Process of Technology Commercialization Training Program : Focus on the Absorptive Capacity (기술사업화 교육프로그램의 성공적인 프로세스 개발 연구 - 흡수역량을 중심으로-)

  • The research object is stepwise process of absorptive capacity is important factor to get the successful result of technology commercialization training program. We analyze the relationship between absorptive capacity and educational performance with empirical study to the students who attended the technology commercialization training program. Results show that potential absorptive capacity has positive effect on realized absorptive capacity. Realized absorptive capacity also has the positive effect on educational performance. We conclude the successful technology commercialization training program is based on the stepwise process of absorptive capacity. That means technology commercialization training program will set up based on not functional but stepwise process. Further more, technology commercialization training program must be practical, focusing, interdisciplinary, and repetitive courses.

Curriculums in the Nonprofit Sector of the School of Business Administration: Focused on South Korea and United States (경영학과 비영리부문의 교과과정 분석: 한국과 미국을 중심으로)

  • There has been minimal research regarding nonprofit sectors in the school of business administration, and many research have processed a structure aspect. And there is no studies of curriculums in nonprofit sectors. Therefore, this study is to analyze and examine the degree of opening about nonprofit subjects in the school of business administration and MBA which are established in the main universities of South Korea and United States. And it is to find the activation plans about subjects relevance to nonprofit in domestic universities. We classified the systematization level, educational level, and curriculum level based on the Wish & Mirabella(1998), and analyzed nonprofit curriculums opened in the school of business administration and MBA of South korea and United States. The results shows that the systematization level, educational level, and curriculum level in domestic universities are lower than universities of United States. This results of this study show the needs for the research institutes of the nonprofit sector, establishment of degree courses, education of expert, curriculum opening and others to activate the nonprofit field in domestics universities.

  • Web is greatly contributing in providing a variety of information. Especially, as media for the purpose of development and education of human resources, the role of web is important. Furthermore, E-Learning through web plays an important role for each enterprise and an educational institution. Also, above all, fast and various searches are required in order to manage and search a great number of educational contents in web. Therefore, most of present information is composed in HTML, so there are lots of restrictions. As a solution to such restriction, XML a standard of Web document, and its various search functions is being extended and studied variously. Moreover, any technology, AJAX, and the old and new technology has two sides. The technology already exists, and it was not even considered before, because new technology is combined technologies. AJAX is a lot of Web 2.0 and Web technologies complement are combined. This paper proposes a search system able to search XML, AJAX in E-Learning or various contents of non-XML.

Basic Study of the Application of BIM to Classroom Spatial Information of School Facilities (학교시설 교사공간정보의 BIM 적용에 관한 기초연구)

  • The development of modern science and technology and computer engineering breakthroughs in the field of information and communication have brought about many changes in lifestyle. The government announced the goal of educational policy in 2030 to educate people in future society on a future-oriented perspective. Changes in the curriculum along with changes in educational facilities are essential. Therefore, the operation of a classroom should be associated with classroom spatial information. The BIM design based on 3D geometry information was designed. The BIM design can link the design information and non-geometric information of spatial information. This study examined the operation of school facilities based on classroom spatial information with BIM. This study suggests standardization of classroom spatial information based on BIM. The scenarios of BIM ordering and design for departmentalized classrooms management is proposed.

A Study on the Perceptions and the Needs of Parents on Forest Experience Activity (숲 체험 활동에 대한 학부모들의 인식 및 요구에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to inquire into the perceptions and the needs of parents on their forest experience activity. To achieve this, a survey was carried out on 250 parents of children in a Gyeonggi-based private kindergarten from December 26 to December 31, 2013. The results are as follows. For the perceptions of parents on the forest experience activity, the 'perception on overall effectiveness' was the highest, followed in order by 'perception on educational effectiveness' and 'general perception'. For the needs of parents on their forest experience activity, 58.2% of them recognized the importance of regular forest experience activity. For the necessity of an annual program, 60.7% of them recognized the necessity of a planned annual program. For the recommendation of forest experience activity, 61.1% of them gave a strong recommendation for forest experience activity. As stated above, most parents positively viewed children's forest experience activity in the environment as it is difficult to approach nature in downtown areas, and children also highly viewed the educational effectiveness of it.

Risk Factors for the Prevalence of Periodontal Diseases among Adult Workers (성인 근로자의 치주질환 유병 관련 위험요인)

  • This study examined the demographic and oral behavioral risk factors for periodontal disease in adult workers. The research subjects and method were conducted targeting 1,650 Korean adult workers aged 20-64 utilizing the data from the fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V-3). As a result of this study, the periodontal tissue patients showed the risk factors for gender, age, income level, educational level, systemic disease, sleep hours, oral health level, biting trouble, and chewing difficulty. In terms of the greatest influence, the workers with problems with biting and chewing had a more than 3.5 times higher likelihood of being affected by periodontal disease. The findings of this study show that there are a variety of risk factors for periodontal diseases in Korean workers. To reduce the prevalence rate of periodontal disease, regular checkups including dental checkups and sufficient sleeping will be necessary, and the level of stress should be decreased. In addition, the government should take the required measures to remove the socioeconomic inequality, such as income gap or educational divide.
