The big issue of mathematics education in 2009 revised curriculum is to introduce story-telling in math textbook and to aim toward the math that students can learn easily and interestingly. Therefore, this study examine the perception of middle school teachers in working with story-telling, analyze actual utilization of story-telling in class and provide the basic materials for effective practical application. After making questionnaires to check the real conditions of the story-telling and asking math teachers in charge of the first and second graders, this research came to the conclusion as follows. First, the teachers who took part in this research showed positive perception in story-telling textbook the practical use of a variety of materials and the improvement of thinking faculty and creativity. Second, math teachers made use of a variety of storytelling data and especially reflection media in class, but this was limited in introductory part. Mathematic concept was delivered mainly through the activities of exchanging questions and answers between the teachers and students. Third, students showed positive reaction about story-telling class on the whole. For example, they understood the concept easily and they could apply it in real life. However, story-telling failed to bring the attention and interest of math itself. Therefore, teachers' ability is needed in the way that math knowledge and concept should be formed and expressed interestingly.
In school PC labs or other educational purpose PC labs with a few dozens of PCs, computers are configured in a distributed architecture so that they are set up, maintained and upgraded separately. As an alternative to the distributed architecture, we can consider a thin-client computing environment. In a thin-client computing environment, client side devices provide mainly I/O functions with user friendly GUI and multimedia processing support whereas remote servers called terminal server provide computing power. In order to support many clients in the environment, a cluster of terminal servers can be configured. In this architecture, it is difficult due to the characteristics of terminal session persistence and different pattern of computing usage of users so that the utilization of terminal server resources becomes low. To overcome this disadvantage, we propose an adaptive terminal cluster where terminal servers ,ire partitioned into groups and a terminal server in a light-loaded group can be dynamically reassigned to a heavy-loaded group at run time. The proposed adaptive scheme is compared with a generic terminal service cluster and a group based non-adaptive terminal server cluster. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the feasible strategies to vitalize e-learning through investigating the characteristics of e-learning and the evaluations of distance learners on online courses in the domestic universities in Korea. First, in order to accomplish this, 10 Universities and 17 Cyber Universities were selected to explore their characteristics and main projects of e-learning for the administration level investigation. Secondly, content analysis of the bulletin board systems(BBS) and in-depth interviews on distance learners in Cyber Universities were conducted for the user level investigation. The results revealed that Universities in Korea were focused on establishing mobile or smart campuses, diversifying online educational contents, enhancing online interactive systems, and educating e-learning system and smart device utilization. However, distance learners reported that mobile e-learning lacked stability when taking online courses despite its convenience for purpose of academic administration. In addition, distance learners requested the social application workshops to improve on their learning experience as well as the interactions among peers. Therefore, it is important to focus more on how to establish the education-oriented e-learning environment rather than how to implement the administrative projects to animate e-learning in the domestic universities in Korea.

As environmental sustainability becomes a key consideration in policy-making, more responsible consumption and utilization in daily life concern both health and quality of life. To address inequities in health in relation to environments, waste management has taken more progressive ways, and one of them is biomass-to-energy conversion that utilizes energy recovery from food waste. By extension, a food waste zero-emission system using fermentation and extinction technology gains much attention, so that this study is designed to examine residents' attitudes toward recycling food waste produced at home and toward food waste zero-emission system. Utilizing a survey questionnaire, this research collected data from 400 individual units of multifamily housing estates nationwide, and the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate that food waste generated at home was highly water-contained and produced in the stage of food preparation before cooking while respondents viewed that food waste collection and treatment needed to be improved. It's noted that respondents strongly supported the use of food waste as a energy source and would have the use of the food waste zero-emission system built in kitchen sink. Regression analysis showed that educational attainment of housewives, cooking style, and planning food purchase were statistically significant factors in the attitude of the responded residents toward recycling food waste while none of the factors were in the attitude toward the food waste zero-emission system.

Cyber-university has a higher rate of dropout freshmen due to various educational factors, such as social background, economic factors, IT knowledge, and IT utilization ability than students in twenty offline-based university. These students require a different dropout prevention method and improvement method than offline-based universities. This study examined the main factors affecting dropout during the first semester of 2017 and 2018 A Cyber University. This included management and counseling factors by the 'Decision Tree Analysis Model'. The Management and counseling factors were presented as a decision-making method and weekly methods. As a result, a 'Dropout Improvement Model' was implemented and applied to cyber-university freshmen in the first semester of 2019. The dropout-rate in freshmen applying the 'Dropout Improvement Model' decreased by 4.2%, and the learning-persistence rate increased by 11.4%. This study applied a questionnaire survey, and the cyber-university students LMS (Learning Management System) learning results were analyzed objectively. On the other hand, the students' learning results were analyzed quantitatively, but qualitative analysis was not reflected. Nevertheless, further study is necessary. The 'Dropout Improvement Model' of this study will be applied to help improve the dropout rate and learning persistence rate of cyber-university.

This study examines the effect of oral narration learning for children's forest fairy tales on self-emotional regulation and community spirit cultivation. To achieve this aim, experiments were conducted involving 40 children in S city during 16 sessions over a period of 8 weeks. Findings showed that the experimental group with oral narration learning regarding forest fairy tales was higher than the control group, confirming the usefulness of oral narration learning for forest fairy tales. In particular, the experimental group was higher than the control group in basic lifestyle, community spirit, sociality development and self-awareness of community spirit factors. In other words, children can focus their attention on fairy tales by reading, listening and directly experiencing fairy tale materials in nature as communication with nature in forest experience activities, and can collaborate with peers based on their emotional connection with nature. Their ability to practice principles and order as well as to improve relationships with peers and increase self-emotional regulation is enhanced through experience with fairy tale stories. Such results imply that the utilization of forest fairy tales needs to be enhanced, as forest fairy tale-linked activities have a positive educational effect on community spirit cultivation as well as self-emotional regulation.

This paper studies the R&D network of the Zhongguancun Cluster, the most representative innovative cluster of the high-tech industry in China at present. For this study, Zhongguancun Cluster was the first high-tech cluster to have been created in China, the current Zhongguancun Cluster has played a leading role in the development of the high-tech industry in China. In addition, the Zhongguancun Cluster has at helped elevate China as a key region in terms of research development in relation to the high-tech industry. In particular, companies evaluate the research development network culture of Zhongguancun cluster positively and this increases their tendency to approach the research development network with an open mind. The main contents in research development network are as follows; (1) joint or consigned research development and technology transfer in the case of research development network between companies, (2) joint or consigned research development, human resource support and employment, technical advice and consultant and technology transfer in the case of industrial-educational relationships (3) joint or consigned research development, technical advice and consultant and technology transfer in the case of industrial-research relationships, (4) financial support and participation in joint research development project held by government in the case of industrial and governmental relationships (5) financing for research development, utilization of research human resources, purchase of research development and use of research development equipment for mediators. The main difficulties in creating a research development network are 'lack of mutual trust', 'financial problems of companies' and 'lack of information'. Especially, the main key obstacles for the most important research development network between industry and government in the case of the Zhongguancun Cluster are 'complicated and strict procedures. Therefore, more accurate and detailed understanding of the conditions and the following institutional measures from government are required for research development among companies.
The purpose of this study was to identify the degree and the relationship of the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of industrial health care services of workers. This information will provide useful data for an effective industrial health care service. The was collected from 600 data employees in Kwang-ju city & Chonnam province. The data was gathered by questionnaire from Dec 20, 1992 to Jan 20, 1993. The questionnaire was developed by the Academic Affairs of Community Health Nursing Academy. Data was analyzed by using the statistical computer package, SPSS to manipulate the data along with percentages, means, standard deviations, modes, t-test and ANOVA. The results in this study were summarized as follows: 1. General characteristics of workers: Distributions of workers was laborer(76.2%). in the 25-34 age group(50.2%), married(63.3%), males comprised(77.5%), the educational level with the highest percentage was high school graduates (71.1%), with a monthly income of 300-700 thousand won(43.8%), and has been working in the present career over seven years (31.5%). 2. The Knowledge, Attitude and Practice levels of employees about industrial health care services The levels were measured according to a five point scale. The total mean score of knowledge was 2.92 points out of 4. The following are the scores of Knowledge of special medical examination and location of industrial clinic(3.48), periodic medical examination (3.18), occupational disease(3.08), personal protective equipment (2.92), and health education(1.37). The total mean score of Attitude was 2.77 point out of 4. The following are the scores of Attitude in order of working environment (3.35), necessity of periodic medical examination and health education(3.15), the worker's perception influence on the working environment to health was high(3.11). But, the level of satisfaction in the content of periodic medical examination was low(2.19). The total mean score of Practice was 2.70 points out of 4. The scores of Practice in order were, practice of periodic medical examination(3.70), utilization of industrial clinic(2.92), and to participate in health education(1.47). 3. The relationship of general characteristics to Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of workers: Knowledge had a significant difference by sex (P<.01), marital status(P<.01), education level (P<.05) and monthly income(P<.01). Attitude was significantly different with sex(P<.05) and Practice was significantly related to monthly income (P<.01).
The purpose of this study was to investigate the systematic and convergent education needs according to the use of digital intraoral scanners in dental hygienists. Data of 127 respondents who participated in an online survey for dental hygienists working at dental hospitals and clinics were analyzed by the frequency analysis, t-test, one way ANOVA, and correlation using SPSS 24.0 program. The utilization period of digital intraoral scanners in the hospital was 'less than 1 year' in 78.7%. As for relevant education experience, 58.3% answered 'no', showing a higher proportion of no education experience. As for clinical application of digital intraoral scanners, 77.4% responded that they use the scanner for clinical purposes. With regard to digital intraoral scanner education, 61.4% responded that education is necessary. This result reflects the fact that digital intraoral scanners have been rapidly introduced to dental hospitals and clinics, but systematic education has not been given. Therefore, we hope that this paper will be used as basic data to recognize the need for education on digital intraoral scanners.

A Calculator-Based Laboratory (CBL) system was introduced to science teachers and their perceptions to its classroom application was assessed. A CBL survey instrument was responded by 54 middle and high school science teachers who undertook a three-hour workshop of science experiments with CBL system. There were significant differences in teachers perceptions to CBL system among gender, school level, school location, teacher's degree, and years of teaching in terms of learning CBL system, applicability of CBL system for science classrooms, and effects on science achievement. Male teachers showed significantly (p<.05) higher agreement to learning of CBL system and applicability for science classrooms than female teachers. Compared to middle school teachers, high school teachers showed significantly (p<.05) high interests in CBL applicability for science classrooms and perceptions that there will be an increase of science achievement. Teachers with 4-8 years of teaching experience also showed significantly (p<.05) higher interest toward learning CBL system and its applicability. It was concluded that science teachers perceived CBL system as a promising science teaching method in Korean middle and high schools. However, a science teacher inservice training program for CBL system should be developed in consideration of gender, school level, school location, and years of teaching.
