  • In this study, we tried to make clear the meaning of implication, and inquired into Piaget's theory on the development of children's logical thinking focussing on implication. Because the progressive development of the notion of implication is very important to learn the meaning of conditional proposition, we searched a sequence for the learning implication on basis of Piaget's theory.

필리핀 학교교육의 실태와 특징: 산베다 학교교육을 중심으로 (A Study on the Situation and Trait of the Philippines School Education)

  • Nowaday our school education have been undergone decisive influences by the entrance and examination-oriented education system. To enter universities which belong to top classes in Korean society could be look upon the important success of school education, and it could be equaled to the quality of competent teacher(teacher's professionalism). However, the creativity and knowledge composition ability in the school education will be considered seriously in the coming of 21st century knowledge, information-oriented and globalization society. In this situation, we try to trace about the system and style of foreign school education which is unfamiliar to us, spontaneously we should explore the educational implication which affects to our school education. In this paper, we have reviewed about the present condition and the current situation of Philippines school education(San Beda College Alabang and Rizal Campus). Of course, we tried to observe the practical education activities including a curriculum, teacher, teaching and studying method and student activity. Through this trial, we tried to suggest the effective environment and methodology for the improvement in quality of our school education. Philippines school education 1) could be achieved educational ideas and goals based on the spirit of school establishment, 2) could be gained teacher's professionalism through the system of Coordinator and Prefect, 3) could be conducted learner-centered lessons by the learning method of exploration, discussion, task-resolving, 4) was able to created a pleasant school education through the development and application of a variety of educational programs.

열린 수학 학습을 위한 게임의 교육적 활용 가능성 탐색 (An exploratory study of the Educational Simulation Games for open mathematic learning)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the applicability of educational games to open mathematic learning and consideration to the position of educational games in mathmatical education as powerful technology. For these purposes, previous literatures about games are reviewed. The concept of simulation games are defined and explore the characteristics of games includings game structure and process. And some typical educational games - Israel games, ORDA - are introduced. The main focus of the deliberation and survey of previous literatures is educational games as meaningful learning medium of mathematics and other subjuct matters. Especially educational games take a meaningful role for an implication of applicability of games especially for higher order thinking skills like problem solving, decision making, and creativity. To realize this alternative learning method of mathematics, first of all the attituce of teachers are have to change and accumulate field studies.

농촌지역 초·중등 교육시설에 대한 마을단위 접근성 평가 (Evaluation of Accessibility to Elementary and Secondary Educational Facilities on Village Level in Rural Areas)

  • Although the educational facility are an important considerations on a social equity standpoint, educational environment in rural areas has been continuously deteriorated by numerous social problems such as decreasing birth rate and increasing of local school closing. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accessibility of educational environment in rural areas on village level. First, we evaluate physical accessibility based on legally defined commuting distance. Second, the implication of village population of potential accessibility is analyzed. Lastly, the facility centrality index of each village is estimated for assessing the relations of educational accessibility. The main results of this study are as follows; (1) The accessibility of most villages in Pyeongchang-gun is vulnerable that 81.10% for elementary school, 73.17% for middle school, and 82.32% for high school, respectively; (2) The average commuting distance per student considering estimated number of students for each educational facilities indicated 2.75km for elementary school, 4.37km for middle school, and 5.79km for high school; (3) the facility centrality index is highly correlated to educational facilities but not to village population.

국내 성과바탕의학교육에 대한 비판적 논의: 역량의 개념을 중심으로 (The Role of the Concept of Competence in Korean Outcome-based Medical Education)

  • Before Outcome-based curriculum reform, medical graduate school and medical schools of korea need to understand limit or threshold of outcome-based education's point of view. This article examines the multi-dimensional concept of competence suggested by Stoof and colleagues and discusses about implication for outcomebased education in medical education of Korea. Because Stoof and colleagues's five dimensions of competence reveal various concepts and educational methods of competence. Therefore, It is possible to use to identify the strengths and weaknesses of outcome-based education of Korea as a reference standard. Five dimensions of competence suggested by Stoof and colleagues is consist of 'personal vs. task characteristics,' 'individual vs. distributed competence,' 'specific vs. general competence,' 'levels of competence vs. competence as a level,' and 'teachable vs. non-teachable.' Implication for outcome-based education in medical education of Korea is, first, that It should recognize to outcome-based education as a one of educational models approaching to competence. Second, discussion about competence should be expanded from pre-medical education to graduated medical education and continuing medical education.

Zoltan Dienes의 수학학습 6단계 이론의 재음미 (Review of Six Stages Theory of Learning Mathematics Suggested by Zoltan Dienes)

  • 이 논문에서는 Zoltan Dienes의 수학학습을 위한 6단계 이론을 재조명해보고자 하였다. 국내에서는 Dienes가 1971년에 처음 발표한 내용이 대략적으로 알려져 있을 뿐, 구체적인 보기가 소개되지 않았다. 이 연구는 Dienes가 제시한 정수 학습의 보기를 통해 6단계 이론이 함의하는 바를 보다 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 6단계 이론의 본질은 수학적 개념 형성을 위한 추상화 과정에 있으며, 그러한 과정에서 놀이나 게임은 수학적 구조의 원시적 형태라 할 수 있는 규칙성을 제공해주며, 전 단계에 걸쳐 학습자와 수학을 연결해 주는 중요한 매개 역할을 하도록 기대된다는 점을 밝혔다. 그러나 정수의 보기를 들어 살펴본 게임에는 몇 가지 문제점이 제기되었으며, 이러한 문제점들이 극복되지 않는 한 6단계 이론이 현장에 보급될 가능성은 매우 낮은 것으로 결론 내렸다. 그럼에도 불구하고 6단계 이론이 오늘날의 교육에 시사하는 바를 마지막으로 덧붙였다.

수학적 귀납법에 대한 학생들의 이해에 관하여 (On the Students' Understanding of Mathematical Induction)

  • 본 연구에서는 고등학교 과정에서 다루어지는 수학적 귀납법 증명의 대표적인 예제들을 이해하고 증명하는데 필요한 스키마를 분석하고, 그에 대한 학생들의 구성 여부를 조사하였다. 함수 스키마와 명제치 함수 스키마의 구성은 함의치 함수 스키마와 긍정 논리식 스키마의 구성에 선행하며 함의치 함수 스키마와 긍정 논리식 스키마는 수학적 귀납법 스키마를 위해 통합적으로 조절되어야 한다는 점도 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 수학적 귀납법에 대한 학생들의 이해 수준은 $1{\sim}4$ 수준으로 설정될 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 이해 수준과 관련하여 수학적 귀납법을 학습하면서 겪는 학생들의 인지적 어려움이 분석되었다.

신임해양경찰공무원의 공공봉사동기와 교육만족과의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Public Service Motivation and Educational Satisfaction of New Marine Police Officials)

  • 본 연구는 신임해양경찰공무원의 교육훈련에 공공봉사동기가 영향을 미치는가를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 공공봉사동기의 하위변인인 자기희생, 공익몰입, 공공정책의 호감도는 교육만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으나 공공봉사동기 하위변인인 동정심은 교육내용만족에 대한 영향요인은 기각되었다. 본 연구는 내재적 요인인 공직에 필요한 봉사정신, 희생정신과 같은 무형의 자산이 교육만족도영향요인임을 검증하였다는데 의미가 있다. 해양경찰은 육상경찰이나 다른 공직분야와 달리 해상이라는 장소적인 위험성으로 인하여 공직 가치의 중요성이 보다 중요시되므로 이를 고양하기 위한 다양한 제도와 연구의 필요성이 인정된다.
