도시농업활동 프로그램 개발을 위한 요구 분석 (Needs Assessment for Urban Agricultural Program)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the needs assessment for urban agricultural program. The findings were as follows; Citizens at urban cities said that educational program of 'shortage of farming technology education' should be developed, and wanted to be given 'farming technology' of urban agriculture education area more than other education areas. The citizens asked for urban agricultural program with both theories and practice education than existing urban agricultural program that relied upon basic theory education. And, they wanted urban agricultural program that was based on 'farming technology' to consist of practice education and theory education at the ratio of 80 and 20 and to be professional and differentiated. The citizens preferred 3 to 6 months of education period the most, and more than 95 percent of them wanted to join the program when it is developed.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to develope elementary mathematics teaching-learning programs for pre-service elementary teachers. The elementary mathematics education program developed in this work is divided into two parts: One is the theory, the other is the practice. The theory deals with the foundations of mathematics, the objectives of mathematics education, the history of mathematics education in Korea, the psychology of mathematics learning, the theories of mathematics teaching and learning, and the methods of assessment. With respect to the practice, this study examines the background knowledge and activities of numbers and their operation, geometry, measurement, statistics and probability, pattern and function.

  • Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is online education that anyone can register for free and has internet access. MOOC is also called Education Revolution and is spreading rapidly all over the world. Although recent MOOC high-quality classes may enhance the value of MOOC, MOOC learning still needs much research. Since MOOC has low learning completion rate and continuous use rate, various studies on the reasons that learners give up at the beginning of learning have not been tried yet This research is studied for the continuous intention of use of MOOC applying self-determination theory and learning flow theory based on technology acceptance model. In particular, the research are conducted for cultural difference in continuous usage of MOOC between Korean and Chinese. The research results show that self-determination theory applying perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relatedness and learning flow is useful to explain continuous use of MOOC. The research also shows that Hofstede theory works well in explaining the cultural difference between Korea and China in continuous usage of MOOC. The result shows that korean is more influenced by perceived external motivation like perceived usefulness and chinese is more influenced by internal motivation like learning flow in continuous use of MOOC.

  • In the area of the multimedia computer, the demand for the image processing engineer is large. However, there are not many engineers capable of developing practical systems. To teach practical image processing techniques, we need an intergrated education systems which can efficiently present the image processing theory and, at the same time, provide interactive experiments for the theory presented. In this paper, we propose an integrated education systems for the image processing. It consists of the theory presentation systems and the experiment systems. The theory presentation systems uspports multimedia display functions and HTML. It is tightly integrated with the experiment systems which developed based on the integrated image processing algorithm development system called Hello-vision.

Disaster prevention as community education: From the viewpoint of activity theory

  • There are many social issues that should be solved through activity in the local community, such as community development, social service, environmental protection and disaster prevention. Despite a large number of activities, they are not always effective. In this investigation, we examine some alternative approaches to disaster prevention in local communities based on Japanese research and practices. Activity theory (Engestr öm, 1987) was adopted as a theoretical viewpoint. Implications for community education, which is another important issue in the community, are also discussed.

Understanding about Novice Learner's Programming Conception by Prototype Theory

  • 이 연구의 목적은 확률적 관점의 원형이론으로 학습자들이 프로그래밍 과정에서 형성한 프로그래밍 개념의 구조를 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 개념(conception)의 의미와 원형이론(prototype theory)을 고찰하고, 대학생 33명이 문제해결 프로그래밍 경험으로 형성한 학습자의 변수(variable) 개념을 개념적 은유(conceptual metaphor) 글쓰기로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결론은, 1) 개념적 은유(conceptual metaphor) 글쓰기 활동은 프로그래밍 교육 효과를 높이는 교육 방법이고, 2) 학습자의 추상적 속성 형성 경험을 보강해야 하고, 3) 프로그래밍 개념은 집단별로 수준별 개념(multi-level concept)을 형성하고, 4) 프로그래밍 교육에서 기호의 의미에서 발생 가능한 오개념 위험(misconception risk)을 의도적으로 차단해야하고, 5) 프로그래밍 평가 도구는 다양한 속성을 적용할 수 있는지를 확인할 수 있게 개발되어야 한다.

  • 회로 이론은 전기 및 전자 공학 분야에서 가장 기본이 되는 다양한 회로의 해석과 설계를 체계화한 학문으로 회로 이론 교과목은 전기 및 전자 공학도라면 반드시 습득하도록 4년제 대학을 기준으로 학부 2학년에 한 학기 내지는 2 학기에 걸쳐 전공 교과목으로 편성되어 있다. 또한 학생들이 회로 이론에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 실제 회로를 구성한 실험을 통하여 회로 설계에 대한 기술 및 응용력을 습득할 수 있도록 하는 실험 교과목이 이론 교과목을 뒷받침하기 위해 동반 편성되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 회로 이론을 뒷받침하는 실험 교육에 대한 학습 효과를 높이기 위해 전기회로 설계 및 실험 교과목에서 시행하고 있는 수업 방법에 대한 사례 연구에 대해 기술한다. 이를 위해 이론 학습, 시뮬레이션, 실험 및 설계 프로젝트 등이 복합적으로 구성된 15주 수업 모형을 제안한다. 제시된 수업 모형에서는 이론을 보완하기 위한 시뮬레이션과 사전 실험 준비 과정이 강화되고, 공학 엔지니어로서의 실질적인 회로 설계 능력을 배양하기 위한 설계 프로젝트가 도입되어 운영된다. 5년 동안의 운영 결과는 제안된 모형이 효용성이 있음을 보여준다.

Construction of New Concept of Symmetric Coordinated Use of Both Hands

  • Based on the creative education theory, the study of the symmetric coordinated use of both hands is the application of both the quality education ideal and the understanding principles of the creative education to the training of using hands. In the light of relevant concepts of the 'Domain' theory and the expertise of both the Chinese and foreign specialists in this field, this article discusses the relation between the tapping of mental creativity, scientific use of hands and the animation of the right hemisphere of the brain with the aim of constructing a new concept of the symmetric coordinated use of both hands.

핵심정보 중심의 건강증진 및 보건교육 메시지 구성 원리: Fuzzy Trace Theory의 함의 (Gist-based Message Design Principles for Health Promotion and Public Health Education: Explication of Fuzzy Trace Theory)

  • Objectives: This paper aims to explain principles of gist-based health message design and discuss their implications for health promotion and public health education. Methods: After reviewing Reyna and Brainerd's Fuzzy Trace Theory(FTT), the authors explicate how to transform FTT into a practical guidance of health message design. Our explication is based upon FTT's reasoning that human intuition, rather than analysis, takes a primary role in message recall and comprehension, followed by judgment and decision making. We expect gist-based message design to be appropriate to serve such intuition. Results: Four principles of gist-based message design are offered: (1) provision of qualitative, as well as quantitative, information of gist, (2) inclusion of visual images corresponding to gist, (3) use of effective message formats to emphasize the gist (4) inclusion of relevant reasons and contextutal information. Conclusions: Gist-based message design has theoretical and practical implications for health promotion, specifically in the field of public health education, the press and governmental communication toward the public, and provider-patient communication in medical settings.
