In this article, the reverse q-H$\ddot{o}$lder type inequality and two dimensional q-H$\ddot{o}$lder's inequality are established. We also obtain some q-integral inequalities by using q-H$\ddot{o}$lder's inequality which give q-Hardy's inequalities as spacial cases.

In this work, by applying the binomial expansion, some refinements of the Young and Heinz inequalities are proved. As an application, a determinant inequality for positive definite matrices is obtained. Also, some operator inequalities around the Young's inequality for semidefinite invertible matrices are proved.

The Jensen, Simic and Mercer inequalities are very important inequalities in theory of inequalities and some results are devoted to this inequalities. In this paper, firstly, we establish extension of Jensen-Simic-Mercer inequality. After that, we investigate bounds for Shannons entropy of a probability distribution. Finally, We give some new applications in analysis.

Objectives: This study aimed to find a way to solve oral health inequality in old age by understanding the effect of the socioeconomic level of the elderly on oral health. Methods: We used data from the 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. A chi-square test was performed to investigate differences in oral health according to socioeconomic status and demographic and oral health-related factors. Socioeconomic status and oral health inequality were analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Results: The average number of teeth in the elderly was 17.20, which is insufficient for the minimum number of teeth required for mastication. In the analysis of the correlation between socioeconomic status and oral health inequality, education level, income level, and home ownership were factors influencing the oral health of the elderly; education level was found to have the strongest effect. Conclusions: Oral health inequality according to socioeconomic status was confirmed, and it is necessary to measure the level of oral health inequality with active efforts at the government level to resolve the gap in oral health by social class.

In this article we study on various proofs and applications of the Cauchy inequality. Prof, Park H.S. claims that though “Mathematics for teachers” is not compulsory materials in school, it gives to mathematics teacher feeling of reassurance in the process of teaching mathematics. In our work, we review some materials concerned with Cauchy inequality, elaborate these, and develop materials for the mathematics teacher. We think that our materials are suitable to contents of “Mathematics for teachers”.

In this work, by using an integral identity together with both the Hölder and the power-mean integral inequalities we establish several new inequalities for n-times differentiable arithmetic-harmonically-convex function. Then, using this inequalities, we obtain some new inequalities connected with means. In special cases, the results obtained coincide with the well-known results in the literature.

우리나라 노동시장에서 자영업이 차지하는 비중이 크지만, 자영업내 소득격차도 크다. 그럼에도 아직까지 자영업 소득불평등에 초점을 맞춘 연구가 많지 않다. 이에 본 연구는 한국복지패널 1~4차 자료를 통해, 일반화된 엔트로피지수로 자영업 소득불평등을 측정하고 불평등 요인과 추세를 분해하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 우리나라 자영업 근로소득 불평등은 매우 높으며, 자영업내 소득양극화가 심각해지고 있었다. 둘째, 자영업 근로소득 불평등의 주된 요인은 고용형태, 교육수준, 연령집단, 사업체규모 그리고 산업으로 나타났다. 셋째, 고용형태에 따른 고용주와 자영자 집단의 상대소득변화효과가 불평 등 증가에 기여하는 정도가 가장 크다. 교육수준과 연령집단, 사업체 규모에 따른 불평등 증가는 집단 내 불평등(순효과) 증가의 기여도가 가장 크고, 집단구성의 변화효과도 불평등 악화에 기여한 것으로 나타났다.

This note, we first show that the famous Carleman's inequality can be improved if we find a positive sequence $\{c_n\}$ such that $c_n{\sum\limits_{j=n}^{\infty}}{\frac{1}{j\(\prod_{k=1}^{j}ck\)^{\frac{1}{j}}}}$ < e. Then we list a lot of known results in the literature improving Carleman's inequality by this method. These results can be a good source to a further research for interested students. We next consider about similar improvement of Polya-Knopp's inequality, which is a continuous version of Carleman's inequality. We show by a manner parallel to the case of Carleman's inequality that Polya-Knopp's inequality can be improved if we find a positive function c(x) such that $c(x){\int}_{x}^{\infty}\frac{1}{t\;{\exp}\(\frac{1}{t}{\int}_{0}^{t}{\ln}\;c(s)\;ds\)}dt$ < e. But there are no known results improving Polya-Knopp's inequality by this method. Suggesting to find a new method, we lastly show that there is no nice continuous function c(x) that satisfies the inequality.
