The objective of the study is to examine the impact of financial development and foreign remittances on poverty and income inequality in the context of Pakistan. The study used ARDL-Bounds testing approach for robust inferences. The results show that in the short-run, remittances increases poverty and income inequality, which further translated into its long-run impact. The result confirmed the inverted U-shaped relationship between per capita income and income inequality, while the second order coefficient of per capita income substantially decline poverty incidence in a country. In the long-run, the results disappeared and it's turned into U-shaped relationship between income inequality and country's per capita income. Education largely decreases income inequality both in the short and long-run, however, it increases poverty in the long-run. Unemployment rate substantially damaged the pro-poor growth scenario, as high unemployment rate increases both the poverty rates and income inequality, which suffered poor more than non-poor in a country. Financial development has a positive impact on poverty reduction and income inequality in the short-run. The impact of income inequality on poverty incidence is positive both in the short- and long-run, which need pro-poor growth policies and rationale income distribution in a country.

This article examines the link between regional disparity and social mobility in India. There has been a steady rise in economic inequality in India. The rapid economic growth coupled with a rise in income inequality is a serious concern in India. While the emphasis is on inclusive growth, it appears difficult to tackle the problem without looking at the intricacies of the problem. The Social Mobility Index is an important tool that focuses on bringing long-term equality by identifying priority policy areas in the country. We used a multivariate statistical approach to construct a social mobility index at the regional level by considering several social and economic variables. Our findings show that while the Union Territory of Delhi ranks first in the social mobility index, Chhattisgarh has the least social mobility. From a policy perspective, a comprehensive examination of the determinants of the social mobility index shows that health, education access, and quality, and equity of education are of great importance in improving social mobility. Considering India's potential economic growth resulting from its 'demographic dividend' and improved access, markets, and technology, increasing social mobility through facilitating equal opportunities in society is key to achieving inclusive growth.

본 연구는 한국노동패널 자료를 활용하여 외환위기 이후 십여 년간 노인 소득불평등 추이의 영향요인을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 소득불평등은 1999~2002년에 증가하고 2002~2008년에 감소하였다. 둘째, 성인 자녀와의 동거 감소, 독거노인 증가, 노인이 스스로 생계를 책임지는 노인가구주 가구 증가 등의 가구구성 변화가 불평등 증가에 기여하였고, 2002~2008년에는 사적이전의 불평등 기여도가 증가하였다. 셋째, 노인 교육수준의 향상과 근로활동의 변화가 불평등 증가에 기여하였다. 넷째, 근로소득의 비중이 감소하고 있고, 2002~2008년에는 근로소득의 불평등 기여도가 크게 감소하였다. 다섯째, 사회보험소득의 불평등 기여도는 1999~2002년에 증가하고 2002~2008년에 감소하였다.

By using the improved Euler-Maclaurin summation formula and estimating the weight coefficients in this paper, a new dual Hardy-Hilbert's inequality and its reverse form are obtained, which are all with two pairs of conjugate exponents (p, q); (r, s) and a independent parameter ${\lambda}$. In addition, some equivalent forms of the inequalities are considered. We also prove that the constant factors in the new inequalities are all the best possible. As a particular case of our results, we obtain the reverse form of a famous Hardy-Hilbert's inequality.

In this paper, we introduce and solve the following additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) $${\parallel}f(x+y+z)-f(x)-f(y)-f(z){\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}{\rho}_1(f(x+z)-f(x)-f(z)){\parallel}+{\parallel}{\rho}_2(f(y+z)-f(y)-f(z)){\parallel}$$, where ${\rho}_1$ and ${\rho}_2$ are fixed nonzero complex numbers with ${\mid}{\rho}_1{\mid}+{\mid}{\rho}_2{\mid}$ < 2. Using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the additive (${\rho}_1,{\rho}_2$)-functional inequality (0.1) in complex Banach spaces.

Recently, Kazmi and Khan [7] introduced a kind of equilibrium problem called generalized system (GS) with a single-valued bi-operator F. In this note, we aim at an extension of (GS) due to Kazmi and Khan [7] into a multi-valued circumstance. We consider a fairly general problem called the multi-valued quasi-generalized system (in short, MQGS). Based on the existence of 1-person game by Ding, Kim and Tan [5], we give a generalization of (GS) in the name of (MQGS) within the framework of Hausdorff topological vector spaces. As an application, we derive an existence result of the generalized vector quasi-variational inequality problem. This result leads to a multi-valued vector quasi-variational inequality extension of the strong vector variational inequality (SVVI) due to Fang and Huang [6] in a general Hausdorff topological vector space.

In this paper, we introduce new hybrid inertial contraction projection algorithms for solving variational inequality problems over the intersection of the fixed point sets of demicontractive mappings in a real Hilbert space. The proposed algorithms are based on the hybrid steepest-descent method for variational inequality problems and the inertial techniques for finding fixed points of nonexpansive mappings. Strong convergence of the iterative algorithms is proved. Several fundamental experiments are provided to illustrate computational efficiency of the given algorithm and comparison with other known algorithms

The aim of this paper is to study a new and unified class 𝓡^α_Cosh of analytic functions associated with cosine hyperbolic function in the open unit disc E = {z ∈ ℂ : |z| < 1}. Some interesting properties of this class such as initial coefficient bounds, Fekete-Szegö inequality, second Hankel determinant, Zalcman inequality and third Hankel determinant have been established. Furthermore, these results have also been studied for two-fold and three-fold symmetric functions.

As the COVID-19 continues spreading, Korea's Ministry of Education (MOE) announced that all public schools, including elementary, middle, and high schools, must begin on April 9, 2020, via online teaching for the first time in the nation's history. There were opposite views among educators regarding the unprecedented attempt to start school online. This study intends to analyze the strategies and policies of distance learning in the public education sector using the experiences in Korea, which has been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic over the past six months, and thus presents educational implications that may be of interest other countries in the post-COVID-19 era. This study first conceptualized the distance education policy in two domains: technological infrastructure and technological teaching and learning, and then examined what specific policies have supported distance education in school settings. For the analysis of policies supporting distance education in Korea, this study analyzed the relevant documents that include the annual plan and press release uploaded on the website of MOE from early March until early August. Accordingly, 13 documents that contain the distance education policy were analyzed in this study. To provide equal opportunities for all students and ensure fair resource allocations, technological inequality should be discussed in the context of educational inequality. Finally, this study looks at how strategies and policies could be related to educational equality and equity.
