  • This study aimed to secure basic data for the development and operation of well-aging education programs by analyzing the physical, mental, and socio-economic needs of well-aging education for successful aging. The research tool was developed as a questionnaire to investigate the perception of well aging and the needs of well-aging education in terms of physical, mental, and socio-economic aspects. In February 2021, 1949 adults over the age of 19 were surveyed through an online and mobile survey by Gallup Korea. Descriptive statistics analysis, variance analysis, Borich needs analysis, and IPA analysis were conducted to analyze the needs of well-aging education. The results revealed economic power, exercise, and chronic disease management to be high in terms of the overall priority of the education needs for well-aging, and infectious disease management, independence, and social responsibility were surveyed in the order of low education needs. In terms of economic power, education needs were highest among all age groups except for the middle-age group (35-49 years old), 82.4% of all respondents, and education needs for exercise and chronic disease management were highest in the middle-age group. Therefore, it is necessary to develop well-aging education programs for each life cycle. These results are expected to be used as empirical data in establishing a platform for developing and operating educational programs for well aging.

  • Like other countries undergoing the aging of the population, increases in the aged population have raised serious issues in Korea. The proportion of elderly will be foreseen over $14\%$ of population in 2019, over $20\%$ in 2026 in korea. Due to the rapid increasing in the aged population, it calls for social countermeasures urgently, And recent researches about attitude to the aged find out in general negative attitude to the aged of other generations. It is thought desirable that comprehension to the aged of the commonalty should be educated on the school basis or a variety of informal ways. The study aims to determine the space formation of the senior simulation center that suggest to be considered for the effective education and preparation for the aging of all social members, particularly for the younger generation. In such space formation, it is important to work out a plan of efficiency education according to the systematic environmental setting with a focus on the minimization of problematic behaviors and living disabilities of aging, as interactive experiences gain malfunctions by aging. This study is expected to promote a focus on the integration of the whole generations and improved design management for the environment of a welfare policy for the aged.

  • This study aims to design, develop the impact of a high school course in practical problem- focused teaching plan which will enable students to deal with an aging society, and prepare well for the aging by looking at issues the elderly face. This study set a target of analyzing the 2007 revised curriculum manual to develop instructor-led teaching and learning plans for 'Successful aging preparation'. Five common subjects were reframed on a practical problem basis through factor analysis of preliminary research regarding aging education for teenagers and the 2007 revised curriculum and textbooks of Technology Home Economics, and Human Development. The practical problem was 'What do we need to do to Successfully live an independent life in aging?', and the subjects studied to answer this question were the aging society and population changes. the nature of the elderly, aging preparation, care of the elderly, and welfare services for the elderly. These five subjects were grouped under the main categories of The Aging Society. Understanding the Elderly, and aging Preparation. The ultimate objective of the lessons was, through critical reasoning, to inquire into the causes of current problems the elderly face so that teenagers can understand aging societies and the elderly, and prepare for a Successful aging. Another objective was to seek reasonable alternatives for teenagers as they prepare for Successful and independent aging, and increase their problem-solving abilities in choosing the best course of action by considering the ripple effect of consequences of each of those alternatives. The practical problem-teaching lesson plans consisted of five classes on practical reasoning instruction. This study suggests that new high school curricula should include lessons on preparation for aging so that students can deal successfully with our aging society.

  • C. elegans has two functional peroxidasins (PXN), PXN-1 and PXN-2. PXN-2 is essential to consolidate the extracellular matrix during development and is suggested to interact with PXN-1 antagonistically. pxn-1 is involved in neuronal development and possibly maintenance; therefore, we investigated the relationship between pxn-1 and pxn-2 in neuronal development and in aging. During neuronal development, defects caused by pxn-1 overexpression were suppressed by overexpression of both pxn-1 and pxn-2. In neuronal aging process, pxn-1 mutants showed less age-related neuronal defects, such as neuronal outgrowth, neuronal wavy processes, and enhanced short-term memory performance. In addition, pxn-2 overexpressing animals retained an intact neuronal morphology when compared with age-matched controls. Consistent with these results, overexpression of both pxn-1 and pxn-2 restored the severe neuronal defects present with pxn-1 overexpression. These results implied that there is a negative relationship between pxn-1 and pxn-2 via pxn-1 regulating pxn-2. Therefore, pxn-1 may function in neuronal development and age-related neuronal maintenance through pxn-2.

  • Before considering health promotion programs carried out in Japan, I would like to explain a summary of today's health conditions of Japan for a while. Current major concern in public health world as well as political or economic world is an aging society. To say more precisely, it would be an aging society with relatively small children's population. Estimated total population is 126,166,000 in 1997. Among these, almost 10% population loves in Tokyo Metropolitan Area. (omitted)

  • This study was designed to explore the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women. Using fourth Korean retirement and income study panel data of National Pension Reacher Institute. The researcher explored the characteristics of preparation for the old age life who middle-old aged women and analyzed the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women. The results were as follows. The the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women were education level, subjective health status, a number of adolescent children(14-19), a number of adolescent children(20-39), public pension, financial asset and debt. On the basis of this results, suggestions for policy were offered.

  • Generally, a proper evaluation method of the aging phenomenon of PV modules is required as the electrical performance and lifespan of PV modules can degrade significantly due to several environmental factors, while they are generally known as devices that are used semi-permanently for more than 20 years. On the other hand, there is a lack of objectivity in the existing evaluation method of the aging phenomenon, which compares the adjusted PV output based on STC with the initial PV module specifications due to the data distortion while adjusting the measured data. Therefore, this study implemented a test device for an aging diagnosis to measure and collect actual data from a PV module section and modeled the data for aging using MATLAB S/W to minimize the variability of the PV output, communication error, and delay. Furthermore, this study confirmed the usefulness of the presented test device for aging diagnosis of the PV modules by diagnosing the total period and yearly-basis degradation rate of aging PV modules as 25.73% and 1.55%, respectively, according to the on-site output characteristics of the PV modules by season.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse economic preparations for aging of the middle and old-aged and their determinants empirically, and then to discuss the findings and implications for the results of analysis. Data from The Social Statistics Survey conducted by Korea National Statistical Office are used in this study. From this dataset, 18,354 Middle and Old Citizens aged between 45 and 59 were selected for this study. The Conceptual framework for this study was based on Andersen's behavioral model and logistic model was used to investigate factors that affect economic preparation for aging. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, Proportion of middle and old citizen with no economic preparation for aging was high, and old-aged had lower level of economic preparation for aging than relative less aged. Second, male, education level, marital status, economic activities, recognition of present income, housing ownership, residental location, and total life condition improvement is positively and statistically significantly associated with economic preparations for aging. Third, while male, age, and economic activities is negatively and statistically significantly associated with private economic preparations for aging, education level, recognition of present income, and total life condition improvement is positively and statistically significantly associated with private economic preparations for aging. Fourth, while male, education level, marital status, economic activities, recognition of present income, housing ownership, residental location, and total life condition improvement, expectation of future income is positively and statistically significantly associated with secondary economic preparations for aging, age is negatively and statistically significantly associated with secondary economic preparations for aging.
