The Analysis on the Characteristics of G Learning Early Adaptors: Focused on Motivation and Effectiveness (G러닝 조기수용자(Early adopter) 특성에 대한 탐색적 연구 : 활용 동기와 효과성에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper analyzed motivations of early adaptor students in using G-Learning. Also, it has tested academic effectiveness in G-Learning process. As a result, it has found that early adaptor students prefer G-Learning for social relationship, following the trend and showing off to their colleagues. Furthermore, the students showed high academic motivation, which made them taking high performance in their subject.

  • 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD) is known to induce cytochrome p450 1A1 and to activate c-Src kinase and p21 Ras. This study examined the molecular interactions of adaptor proteins including Shc, Grb2, and Sos in rat primary hepatocytes and their relationship to the induction of CYP1A1 by TCDD. TCDD induced CYP1A1 level and EROD activity in a dose-dependent mode. Sos/Grb2 association isincreased by TCDDㅑㅜ a dose dependent mode. Tyrosine phosphorylated Shc, mainly p152, onloads to Grb2/Sos complex upon TCDD stimulation. The electrophoretic mobility shift of Sos is showed by TCDD. These results indicate that TCDD modulated the molecular interaction features of adaptor compoes proteins including Shc, Grb2, and Cnl in early signaling pathway of TCDD-mediated CYP 1A1 induction of rat primary hepatocyte.

Ependymal Cells Require Anks1a for Their Proper Development

  • Ependymal cells constitute the multi-ciliated epithelium, which lines the brain ventricular lumen. Although ependymal cells originate from radial glial cells in the perinatal rodent brain, the exact mechanisms underlying the full differentiation of ependymal cells are poorly understood. In this report, we present evidence that the Anks1a phosphotyrosine binding domain (PTB) adaptor is required for the proper development of ependymal cells in the rodent postnatal brain. Anks1a gene trap targeted LacZ reporter analysis revealed that Anks1a is expressed prominently in the ventricular region of the early postnatal brain and that its expression is restricted to mature ependymal cells during postnatal brain development. In addition, Anks1a-deficient ependymal cells were shown to possess type B cell characteristics, suggesting that ependymal cells require Anks1a in order to be fully differentiated. Finally, Anks1a overexpression in the lateral wall of the neonatal brain resulted in an increase in the number of ependymal cells during postnatal brain development. Altogether, our results suggest that ependymal cells require Anks1a PTB adaptor for their proper development.

  • This study identifies the key determinants and technology innovation adoption type of participation in multimedia UCC services. This research examines how the major factors of perceived usability, self-expression, fun & entertainment, arousal, information sharing, other's positive reputation and interface easiness contribute to participation in multimedia UCC services. A sample survey of internet users was conducted, responses were collected from 629 respondents and consumer streaming data were analyzed. Some of the practical implications of the results are follows. This research have categorized that the types of technology adoption for the participation of UCC were innovator consumer, early adaptor consumer, early majority consumer, and late majority consumer. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that perceived usability, interface easiness, fun & entertainment, self-expression, arousal, other's positive reputation and type of technology adoption posited a significant effect in multimedia UCC Services.

Current Understanding of RANK Signaling in Osteoclast Differentiation and Maturation

  • Osteoclasts are bone-resorbing cells that are derived from hematopoietic precursor cells and require macrophage-colony stimulating factor and receptor activator of nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ ligand (RANKL) for their survival, proliferation, differentiation, and activation. The binding of RANKL to its receptor RANK triggers osteoclast precursors to differentiate into osteoclasts. This process depends on RANKL-RANK signaling, which is temporally regulated by various adaptor proteins and kinases. Here we summarize the current understanding of the mechanisms that regulate RANK signaling during osteoclastogenesis. In the early stage, RANK signaling is mediated by recruiting adaptor molecules such as tumor necrosis factor receptorassociated factor 6 (TRAF6), which leads to the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), and the transcription factors nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ (NF-${\kappa}B$) and activator protein-1 (AP-1). Activated NF-${\kappa}B$ induces the nuclear factor of activated T-cells cytoplasmic 1 (NFATc1), which is the key osteoclastogenesis regulator. In the intermediate stage of signaling, the co-stimulatory signal induces $Ca^{2+}$ oscillation via activated phospholipase $C{\gamma}2$ ($PLC{\gamma}2$) together with c-Fos/AP-1, wherein $Ca^{2+}$ signaling facilitates the robust production of NFATc1. In the late stage of osteoclastogenesis, NFATc1 translocates into the nucleus where it induces numerous osteoclast-specific target genes that are responsible for cell fusion and function.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors effecting users' satisfaction on game AI for early AI diffusion. For this purpose, we interviewed 20 users who had experiences playing Blade&Soul, made by NCsoft. Interview data had been analyzed through the Semantic Network Analysis program to identify key subject words and their relations. As a result, the paper has found keywords such as patterns, contents, variety, system, and getting new users as factors effecting users satisfaction on game AI.

  • 본 연구에서는 사용자 중심의 지능형 자켓을 디자인하고 평가하는 인구의 첫 단계로 사용자 요구 분석을 실시하였다. 인지 지능형 자켓에 대한 사용자들의 태도 및 요구를 파악하는 사용자 그룹 인터뷰가 실시되었다. 인터뷰 참가자 집단은 도전감(challenge)을 준거로 신기술을 받아들이는 태도에 따라 얼리어댑터(early adaptor)와 래가드(laggard)로 나뉘어 졌으며 각각의 그룹에서 중요하게 생각하는 지능형 자켓의 중요 요소는 서로 다르게 나타났다. 얼리 어댑터의 경우 컴퓨터의 연장선상에서 기능적 요소를 중요하게 생각하였고, 래가드의 경우 옷의 연장선상에서 심미성과 즐거움의 요소를 보다 더 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 지능형 자켓의 초기 디자인 컨셉 방향은 얼리 어댑터와 래가드가 요구하는 각각의 요소에 대응하는 주제로 건강과 오락을 선정한 후, 이 주제에 맞는 구체적인 어플리케이션 아이디어를 사용자 인터뷰 및 아이디어 서술을 통해 수집하였다. 건강과 관련해서는 사람의 생체신호를 체크하는 기능이 운동복 및 잠옷의 결합된 형태로, 오락의 관련해서는 사람의 동작이나 자세를 교정하는 기능이 운동복 및 잠옷과 결합된 형태로 디자인된 지능형 자켓에 대한 요구가 수집되었다.

  • Home Networking will be implementing the interactive network by home appliances over wireless/wireline network framwork. That is, Home appliances, which are being operated within home space configure the network through wireline/wireless network infrastructure for interworking and interacitive services by external internet access. Based on home networking, smarthome is home space where can use automatic telecommunication and interactive service by home appliances. we can call smarthome based on home networking infrastructure as the conceptual gateway for evolving future converged space like u-city. From simple home control service to home automation service over home networking infrastructure, smarthome service is evolving to up-to-date intelligent life environment in growth of IT technology. however, its service model development was based on supplier-centered based on advanced IT technology. because of this situation, smarthome service has not been acknowledged IT underprivileged people as well as IT early-adaptor. so, this research paper will consider and try to find out what will be the feasible factors to make the best service for IT underprivileged people.

The Effector Functions of Mature T Lymphocytes Are Impaired in Transgenic Mice Expressing the SH2 Domain of TSAd/Lad

  • TSAd/Lad is a T cell adaptor molecule involved in $p56^{lck}$-mediated T cell activation. To investigate the functions of TSAd in T cells, we generated transgenic (TG) mice expressing the SH2 domain of TSAd (TSAd-SH2) under the control of the $p56^{lck}$ proximal promoter. In T cells from TSAd-SH2 TG mice, T cell receptor (TCR)-mediated early signaling events, such as $Ca^{2+}$ flux and ERK activation, were normal; however, late activation events, such as IL-2 production and proliferation, were significantly reduced. Moreover, TCR-induced cell adhesion to extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins and migration through ECM proteins were defective in T cells from TSAd-SH2 TG mice. Furthermore, the contact hypersensitivity (CHS) reaction, an inflammatory response mainly mediated by T helper 1 (Th1) cells, was inhibited in TSAd-SH2 TG mice. Taken together, these results show that TSAd, particularly the SH2 domain of TSAd, is essential for the effector functions of T cells.
