In wireless sensor networks (WSNs) duty cycling has been an imperative choice to reduce idle listening but it introduces sleep delay. Thus, the conventional WSN medium access control protocols are bound by the energy-latency tradeoff. To break through the tradeoff, we propose a radio wave sensor called radio frequency (RF) wakeup sensor that is dedicated to sense the presence of a RF signal. The distinctive feature of our design is that the RF wakeup sensor can provide the same sensitivity but with two orders of magnitude less energy than the underlying RF module. With RF wakeup sensor a sensor node no longer requires duty cycling. Instead, it can maintain a sleep state until its RF wakeup sensor detects a communication signal. According to our analysis, the response time of the RF wakeup sensor is much shorter than the minimum transmission time of a typical communication module. Therefore, we apply duty cycling to the RF wakeup sensor to further reduce the energy consumption without performance degradation. We evaluate the circuital characteristics of our RF wakeup sensor design by using Advanced Design System 2009 simulator. The results show that RF wakeup sensor allows a sensor node to completely turn off their communication module by performing the around-the-clock carrier sensing while it consumes only 0.07% energy of an idle communication module.

This study is a paper reviewed legal status of medical personnel and issues of law on recently discovered medical records. As the increase of medical personnel who have gone through the administrative disposal in regards to the medical records, it is needed to examine the legal issue or dispute on the medical records under the current law. Medical records are the statement on patient's medical conditions made by the medical personnel. This records are used as important source for patient's further treatment. This becomes the communication route between the patients and the other medical personnel, and it provides the patients a right to find out their medical information. According to the Medical Service Act (Article 21), a medical personnel shall prepare respectively a record book of medical examination and treatment. And medical personnel shall make a signature. Furthermore, the medical personnel or the opener of the medical institutions must preserve the record book (including an electronic medical record). Meanwhile, the issues of a ban on false entry, additional record, revision or manipulation on the medical record have been recently on the rise. This paper briefly examined the major issues in regards to the medical records. It especially clarified the legal duty on medical records and its major-contentious-issues. At the same time, it pointed out the problems of the unreasonable over interpretation of the law. Furthermore, this suggested the guidelines for the further discussion and review.

This paper is relating to the debates upon the physicians' duty to issue the prescription documents to their patients. The duty should be approached in light of the patients' right to know about the prescription and pharmacy. The Korean Constitution is construed to protect the citizens' right to know as a fundamental right. The Constitution article 10 reads as follows: "All citizens shall be assured of human dignity and worth and have the right to pursue happiness. It is the duty of the State to confirm and guarantee the fundamental and inviolable human rights of individuals." The rights confirmed and guarantee by this article include the patients' right to know about what happens to their body, that is the treatments taken for them and so on. One of the treatments is the prescription and pharmacy. The information is necessary for them to establish their action for the damages in case of their harm resulted in by the negligence in prescription and pharmacy. Now that the prescription is written about by a physician and then the pharmacists compound the prescribed medicines, the patients need to get the documents signed by the pharmacists about the pharmacy. It should be noted that the patients right to know is the right to know and remember. Therefore the patients, who are laymen about the pharmacy, need two prescription documents one of which should be kept by them even after they take the prescribed and compounded medicines for the potential trial.

본 논문은 0.35㎛ CMOS 공정을 이용하여 1.070GHz와 2.07GHz의 주파수를 생성해내는 이중 대역 전압 제어 발진기를 제안한다. 50% 듀티 싸이클 회로와 반가산기를 가진 제안된 전압 제어 발진기는 일반적인 전압 제어 발진기의 주파수보다 두 배 높은 주파수를 생성해낼 수 있다 제안된 전압 제어 발진기의 측정 결과는 전압 제어 발진기 이득과 전력 소모가 각각 561MHz/V, 14.6mW로 나타났다. 이중 대역 전압 제어 발진기의 위상 잡음은 각각 1.07GHz와 2.07GHz로부터 2MHz 옵셋 주파수에서 -102.55dBc/Hz와 -95.88dBc/Hz로 측정되었다.

본 논문에서는 FFL에 대한 기초 방전특성의 일부분으로 인가전압을 정현파와 구형파로 변화시켜 V-Q Lissjous 도형을 이용하여 FFL의 방전형태를 분석하고, 인가전압의 듀티비(duty ratio)의 면화에 의한 radiation transition에 대하여 고찰하였다. FFL을 정현파와 펄스파을 이용하였고, 절연층으로 둘러 쌓여 있는 전극을 갖는 FFL의 방전 특성을 V-Q 리사쥬 도형을 이용하여 방전 특성을 고찰하였다. FFL은 펄스파로 구동하였을 때 방전 전류는 전압의 상승 순간에 방전 전류가 흐른다. 듀티비가 증가하면 준안정 준위의 Xe 원자들은 증가하며 172nm의 자외선 방사량이 증가하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

무선 센서 네트워크에서 다중 흐름들 (multiple flows) 이 동시에 발생하여 sink 노드로 전달되는 과정에서 기존의 duty cycling 기반의 단일 채널 센서 네트워크 MAC 프로토콜들은 경쟁 (contention) 과 충돌 (collision) 로 인한 심각한 성능 저하를 보인다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 다중 채널을 활용하는 Multi-Channel Pipelining (MCP) 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 종단 간 지연시간 (end-to-end latency) 을 최소화하기 위해서 다중 홉 상에 노드들의 wake-up 스케줄에 시차를 두는 SDPS (Staggered Dynamic Phase Shift) 알고리즘과 에너지 효율성을 최적화하기 위한 PLI (Phase-Locking Identification) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이러한 방법을 바탕으로 다중 흐름들은 다중 채널에서 동적으로 파이프라인 (pipeline) 되어 처리됨으로써 성능이 향상된다. Qualnet 시뮬레이션을 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 MCP 기법이 기존의 센서 네트워크 MAC 프로토콜들 보다 듀티 사이클 (duty cycle), 종단 간 지연시간, 패킷 전달율 (packet delivery ratio), 통합 처리량(aggregate throughput) 관점에서 성능을 향상시킴을 보였다. 또한, MCP 의 듀티 사이클과 종단 간 지연시간을 위한 분석 모델을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

클록 보정회로를 가진 1V 1.6-GS/s 6-비트 flash 아날로그-디지털 변환기 (ADC: analog-to-digital converter)가 제안된다. 1V의 저전압에서 고속 동작의 입력단을 위해 bootstrapped 아날로그 스위치를 사용하는 단일 track/hold 회로가 사용되며, 아날로그 노이즈의 감소와 고속의 동작을 위해 평균화 기법이 적용된 두 단의 프리앰프와 두 단의 비교기가 이용된다. 제안하는 flash ADC는 클록 보정회로에 의해 클록 duty cycle과 phase를 최적화함으로 flash ADC의 동적특성을 개선한다. 클록 보정 회로는 비교기를 위한 클록의 duty cycle을 제어하여 evaluation과 reset 시간을 최적화한다. 제안된 1.6-GS/s 6-비트 flash ADC는 1V 90nm의 1-poly 9-metal CMOS 공정에서 제작되었다. Nyquist sampling rate인 800 MHz의 아날로그 입력신호에 대해 측정된 SNDR은 32.8 dB이며, DNL과 INL은 각각 +0.38/-0.37 LSB, +0.64/-0.64 LSB이다. 구현된 flash ADC의 면적과 전력소모는 각각 $800{\times}500{\mu}m2$와 193.02 mW 이다.

외근 사원들은 사무실 보다는 밖에서 주로 개인적으로 근무하는 경우가 많기 때문에, 개인 및 부서 전체의 일정관리가 대단히 어렵다. 개인이나 부서 전체의 일정을 변경할 필요가 있을 때마다, 일일이 모두에게 전화를 해서 이를 알려야 한다. 그런데, 외근 사원들이 가지고 다니는 PDA 등과 같은 이동통신 기기를 이용해서 필요할 때마다 가장 최근의 부서 일정을 다운로드하거나 본인의 일정을 업로드 할 수 있다면, 외근 사원들의 개인 및 부서 전체의 일정관리 문제를 쉽게 해결할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동통신 환경에서의 자료동기화 기법을 이용하여 외근 사원들을 위한 일정관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이동통신 환경에서의 자료동기화란 이동통신 단말기에 저장된 자료와 중앙 관리 서버의 자료를 일치시키는 작업을 일컫는다. 즉, OMA(Open Mobile Alliance)에서 표준으로 제안하고 있는 SyncML 자료동기화 방법을 이용하여 언제 어디서나 외근 사원들이 부서 전체의 일정을 점검하고 본인의 일정을 부서 전체에 알릴 수 있는 일정관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

목적: 안경사직무에 관한 작업수행의 중요도와 교육의 필요도 분석을 실시하여 직무수행 능력을 갖춘 안경사를 양성하기 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 하였다. 방법: 2008년 7월에 전국 안경원의 안경사 813명과 대학의 전임교수 89명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 결과: 전체 작업요소에 관한 평균은 작업수행의 중요도가 3.53, 교육의 필요도가 3.46으로 높게 나타났다. 특히 작업수행의 중요도와 교육의 필요도는 '안경만들기'가 가장 높았고 '의료보건 법규 및 경영관리'가 가장 낮았다. 결론: 안경사와 교수 모두 안경사 직무에 관한 작업수행의 중요도와 교육의 필요성을 높게 인식하고 있었으며, 따라서 이를 안경사 양성교육에 반영해야 할 것이다.

수술행위는 신체에 대한 침습을 포함하는 것이므로 의료인은 수술주체와 수술행위의 내용을 충분히 설명하여 환자가 그 수술을 받을 것인지의 여부를 선택하도록 하여야 하고, 이는 헌법 제10조에서 규정한 개인의 인격권과 행복추구권에 의하여 보호되는 환자의 자기결정권에 해당한다. 미국에서는 '대리수술'의 경우 폭행에 해당한다고 판단한 사례가 있으나, 국내에서는 아직까지 수술의사에 대한 상해죄 등을 인정한 사례가 없고, 수술행위는 환자의 신체에 대한 적대적인 손상행위가 아니므로 상해죄로 처벌하기 어려운 면이 있다. 또한 환자의 '가정적 승낙'을 폭넓게 인정하는 판례의 입장에 따르면 의사의 전단적 의료행위에 대하여 업무상과실치사상죄로 처벌하기도 어려우므로, 환자의 자기결정권 강화를 위하여 의사의 설명의무를 의료법 등에 명문화하고, 대리수술 등 전단적 의료행위에 대하여 별도의 처벌규정을 입법화할 필요가 있다.
