We aimed to evaluate antithrombotic efficacy of Protaetia brevitarsis extract during 21 days. Rats (SPF rat, weight 240~260 g) were divided into 16 groups (5 rats per group), they were: control group and Protaetia brevitarsis extract groups with dose of 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 250, 500, 750, 1,000 mg/kg kg of body weight. Thromboplastin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPPT) as antithrombotic efficacy were tested in this animal experiment (at 7, 14 and 21 days). Overall, the admistration dose of Protaetia brevitarsis extract over 50 mg/kg at 7, 14 and 21 days for PT and over 25 mg/kg at 7, 14 and 21 days for aPPT tented to be longer than that of other groups. In addition, the optimal admistration doses of Protaetia brevitarsis extract to improves antithrombotic efficacy were 75, 100, 200 and 250 mg/kg at 7, 14 and 21 days for PT (p<0.05) and 50 and 100 mg/kg at 7 days, 75 mg/kg at 14 days, or 50, 100, 200 and 250 mg/kg at 21 days for aPPT (p<0.05). It can be concluded that Protaetia brevitarsis extract at optimal levels have antithrombotic efficacy.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the experiences of male college students through sport toto gambling and to provide basic data on the prevention program for male college gambling addicts. Participants in the study were eight male college students who were interviewed in depth and analyzed according to Colaizzi's phenomenological study method. As a result of this study, four categories of experiences were derived as follows: Like the wind that rushes to the sea, Tears of remorse, A locked down life and On a dream day. Research shows that sports toto is easy to access and has a lot of interesting factors, however it has been found out that male college students have a great risk of falling into addiction aiming to win at once like ordinary gamblers. Therefore, this study suggests that gambling preventive education and counseling are necessary for male college students who like sports.

Purpose: This study investigates research trends in the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and Movement journal. Methods: This study analyzes the frequency of keywords and their coincidences with medical subject headings (MeSH) over 15 years in 315 papers from volume 1, issue 1 to volume 15, issue 3 of a journal published by the Korean Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Association. The research types and levels are also analyzed, and the journals are classified by subject, diagnosis, application of PNF, and technique used when PNF is applied. All of the variables are classified in five-year units and their trends are examined. Results: A total of 315 papers were published in 40 issues, and 1190 keywords were used over 15 years. The most frequently used keyword was "PNF." For the keywords that coincided with the MeSH, there were 235 (19.74%) complete coincidence words, 167 (14.03%) incomplete coincidence words, and 788 (66.21%) complete incoincidence words. Thus, the number of complete incoincidence words was the largest. For research types, there were 196 (61.90%) experimental studies, which was the most studied research type. For research levels, there were 155 (49.21%) Level 3 studies (non-randomized trial), which was the research level with the largest number of papers. Normal people were the most common subjects (121 cases, 38.41%), and the number of papers that did not use PNF was 187 (59.37%), which was larger than those that used PNF. The most frequently used combination technique was isotonics when PNF was used. Conclusion: Basic data on PNF-related research was obtained by analyzing papers published over the past 15 years. This information can be used to suggest future directions for PNF research.

The introduction of checkpoint inhibitors revolutionized immuno-oncology. The efficacy of traditional immunotherapeutics, like vaccines and immunostimulants was very limited due to persistent immune-escape strategies of cancer cells. Checkpoint inhibitors target these escape mechanisms and re-direct the immune system to anti-tumor toxicity. Phenomenal results have been reported in entities like melanoma, where no other therapy was able to demonstrate survival benefit, before the introduction of immunotherapeutics. The first experience in ovarian cancer (OC) was reported for nivolumab, a fully human anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) antibody, in 2015. While the data are extraordinary for a mono-immunotherapeutic agent and very promising, they do not match up to the revolutionary results in entities like melanoma. The key to exceptional treatment response in OC, could be the identification of the most immunogenic patients. We hypothyse that BRCA mutation could be a predictor of improved response in OC. The underlying DNA-repair-deficiancy should result in increased immunogenicity because of higher mutational load and more neoantigen presentation. This hypothesis was not tested to date and should be subject to future trials. The present article gives an overview of the immunologic background of checkpoint inhibition (CI). It presents current data on nivolumab and other checkpoint-inhibitors in solid tumors and OC specifically and depicts important topics in the management of this novel substance group, such as side effect control, diagnostic PD-1/programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression assessment and management of pseudoprogression.

In this paper, an activity-oriented usability model is proposed. The usability model contains two types of characteristics: special-type characteristics of usability and sub-characteristics of usability. Workability, study-ability, and playability are, but do not exhaust, examples of special-type characteristic of usability. They correspond to working, studying, and playing using the software product, respectively. They represent the goal of using and can overlap each other. They are usability too by themselves. Navigate-ability, data-prepare-ability, data-input-ability, response-wait-ability, output-examine-ability, and output-utilize-ability are typical examples of sub-characteristics of usability. They correspond to navigating, preparing data, inputting data, waiting response, examining output, and utilizing the output data, respectively. They are not usability by themselves. They constitute usability together as a group. Assessing is the fundamental and indispensable aspect of quality. Without assessing, the concept of quality has little practical value. Satisfaction, effectiveness, and efficiency are the most typical sub-characteristics of usability in existing quality models, which correspond to the evaluation criteria of usability. In the activity-oriented usability model, however, only the user's satisfaction is included: Satisfaction is regarded as the operational definition of usability in the user's view. As the result, usability can be interpreted as the 'goodness for using, which is evaluated by the user. 'Three fundamental principles regarding software quality models are proposed too in this paper: Principles of Parsimony, Cohesiveness, and Inheritance. Discussions illustrate well that typical existing usability models violate these basic principles. Many authors have tried to define general usability models which can be applied to most kinds of software. The dream of the general and universal usability model, however, may be an illusion. The activity-oriented usability model is expected to serve as a prototype from which specialized usability models can be derived.

Arjun Appadurai contends that "the new global cultural economy has to be seen as a complex, overlapping, disjunctive order that cannot any longer be understood in terms of existing center-periphery models" (32); though discerning and perhaps becoming more and more apt, Appadurai's observation of the breakdown of the "center-periphery" binary appears as mere "academic jargon" in the lives of new immigrants, tackling the murky waters of identity politics in the transcultural technoscape of modern America in Kunzru's Transmission. Kunzru's antihero is Arjun Mehta, a software technician, who comes to America with high hopes of realizing the "American Dream." To a certain extent, Arjun himself is culpable of resurrecting the "center" as he prioritizes America and its values over all else. Despite his best efforts, Arjun cannot prevail in the perilous politics of exclusion/inclusion, and is relegated into a "high-tech coolie," exploited for his technological savvy. Even as the "center-periphery" binary stays intact in the production of an (Asian) American identity, it becomes undone in the hands of this "would-be" American; ultimately denied inclusion into America, Arjun unleashes a destructive virus that has major global consequences. In a sense, the boundary that separates the center and the periphery comes down as both collectively become victims to Arjun's retributive malfeasance. Arjun seems to rely on the "American" promise that old allegiances (to a national identity) are now defunct and new ones can be easily forged; as Kunzru's Transmission demonstrates with the tragic story of Arjun, the complex politics of identity production in America does not necessarily deliver on this promise. This essay hence aims to examine the politics of (national) belonging in the age of transnationalism.

This study was conducted to determine and to standardize the time of emergence of Protaetia brevitarsis adults, through four breeding experiments, including one which selected the dominant individuals of Protaetia brevitarsis. The breeding experiments were divided into two groups with hibernating and non-hibernating Protaetia brevitarsis by placing 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 Protaetia brevitarsis in each breeding box (50 cm × 35 cm × 15 cm) filled with 12 L of fermented sawdust. Breeding tests were with four replicates each for 3 months. The test period was classified into four stages: Exp. 1 (Sep 1, 2019 to Nov 30, 2019), Exp. 2 (Dec 1, 2019 to Feb 29, 2020), Exp. 3 (Mar 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020) and Exp. 4 (Jun 1, 2020 to Aug 31, 2020). The survey items included average dead number, average emergence number, average mortality, and average emergence rate. In Exp. 1 and 2, the changes in Protaetia brevitarsis adults were similar. In Tables 1 and 2, the allegorical changes of adult white-spotted flowers were similar. In addition, the average dead number, average emergence number, average mortality, and average emergence rate showed better results in the hibernation state than in both Exp. 1 and 2. Exp. 3 and 4 showed a pattern of change different from the results of Exp. 1 and 2 and these characteristics were superior in the hibernation states compared to the non-hibernation states. In conclusion, this result was found to be most appropriate as a standardization of the emergence time of 200 Protaetia brevitarsis treatments through four breeding experiments in the hibernating state.

This study was conducted to develop and test the effects of an emotional intelligence program for new nurses. The study design was a mixed method research. Participants were 29(intervention group: 15, control group: 14) new nurse. The emotional intelligence improvement program was conducted once a week for a total of 8 weeks (20 hours).The emotional intelligence program was provided for 8 weeks (20 hours). Quantitative data were analyzed using Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, repeated measure ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. Quantitative results showed that emotional intelligence, Job stress were no significantly better in the experimental group compared to the control group. According to the qualitative results, the new nurse experienced improvement in emotional intelligence, empowerment, a reduction in stress, Changed from 'alone' to 'us', and as well as I dream of my future self after participation in the emotional intelligence program. A study to apply the emotional intelligence improvement program to nurses at various times and to verify its effectivene.
