  • The objective of this study was to develop a mathematical model for optimum design of diversified farming systems which have the regional characteristics. For this purpose, the farming surveys were conducted for mainly 1984 agriculture. They were carried out on January and July 1985 for three villages of central region of Korea. The surveyed data were analyzed by systems analysis and the diversified farming systems were modeled. They consist of four and six croping patterns for paddy and upland, two and three kinds of fruit crop and livestock, and seven kinds of farm machinery for each work system. Then a mathematical model was developed by the multiple objective decision making (MODM) method in order to design optimum systems of diversified farming. It consists of 23 decision variables, two objective functions and nine constraint functions. The goals of objective function are maximization of agricultural incomes and power inputs of farm machinery, and the modeled factors for constraint function are arable land, available capital, labor, and land utilization.

  • This paper explores the relationship between technological characteristics within process innovation and selection of the firms of different organizational forms in the evolution of an industry. For this purpose, this paper develops a simulation model for industrial change that replicates dynamic competition for process innovation. The simulation analysis found the following causal relationship. First, the stronger innovation impact in terms of productivity jump tends to enlarge the productivity difference among the incumbent firms and increase the speed of productivity catch-up by the large diversified firms, Second, the possibility of entry, and eventual dominance by the large diversified firms increase when the innovation-productivity linkage is stronger and there is less cumulativeness in productivity determination. These results imply that technological characteristics are important factors that have influence on whether or not the large diversified firms can enter and succeed in an industry.

모순 완화하기 -다양한 과학 수업 방법 사용을 위한 초등 담임교사들의 협력- (Mitigating Contradictions: Elementary School Homeroom Teachers' Cooperation For Using Diversified Science Instructional Methods)

  • 본 연구는 강의식 과학 수업 사용에 머물러 있었던 초등 담임교사가 어떻게 다양한 과학 수업 방법을 사용할 수 있게 되었는지를 탐색한 것이다. 자문화기술지 방법을 사용하여 초등 담임교사의 한 해 동안의 과학 수업 준비와 실행에 대한 자기 기억자료, 수업일지, 페이스북 일기, 인터뷰 자료가 데이터 분석을 위해 수집되었고, 수집된 데이터들은 문화 역사적 활동 이론을 통해 분석되었다. 연구자는 데이터를 통하여 활동 시스템 상에서 어떠한 핵심 요소(i.e. 행위자로서의 담임교사, 규범, 분업, 도구, 목표, 산출)들의 상호작용이 특징화되었고 이것들이 어떻게 교사의 수업 방법을 구체화시켜 나갔는지를 분석하였다. 이를 기반으로 본 연구는 첫째, 과학 수업 준비를 소홀히 하는 규범, 개별적인 공동체, 분업 없음의 요소들이 행위자인 초등교사의 수업을 강의식 수업만으로 이끌게 되었고, 이로 인해 모순이 발생하게 되었음을 밝혔다. 둘째, 기존의 규범, 공동체, 분업 요소가 과학 수업 준비시간을 절약하거나 다양한 수업을 준비하도록 하는 규범, 협력적인 공동체, 역할 분담의 분업 형태로 변화되면서 행위자의 수업 도구를 다양한 과학 교수 방법(i.e. 실험, 논변 수업, 교과 통합 수업, 현장 학습)으로 사용하도록 이끌었으며, 이를 통해 모순이 완화될 수 있었음을 보였다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 초등 담임교사와 동료 교사들이 개인의 과학 수업 전문성을 키우는 것뿐만 아니라 학교 현장에서 다양한 과학 수업 방법 사용에 모순되는 규범, 공동체, 분업 요소를 잘 다루어 나갈 때 학습자 중심 수업이 촉진될 수 있음을 논의하였다.

GIS/GPS based Precision Agriculture Model in India -A Case study

  • In the present day context of changing information needs of the farmers and diversified production systems there is an urgent need to look for the effective extension support system for the small and marginal farmers in the developing countries like India. The rapid developments in the collection and analysis of field data by using the spatial technologies like GPS&GIS were made available for the extension functionaries and clientele for the diversified information needs. This article describes the GIS and GPS based decision support system in precision agriculture for the resource poor farmers. Precision farming techniques are employed to increase yield, reduce production costs, and minimize negative impacts to the environment. The parameters those can affect the crop yields, anomalous factors and variations in management practices can be evaluated through this GPS and GIS based applications. The spatial visualisation capabilities of GIS technology interfaced with a relational database provide an effective method for analysing and displaying the impacts of Extension education and outreach projects for small and marginal farmers in precision agriculture. This approach mainly benefits from the emergence and convergence of several technologies, including the Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information system (GIS), miniaturised computer components, automatic control, in-field and remote sensing, mobile computing, advanced information processing, and telecommunications. The PPP convergence of person (farmer), project (the operational field) and pixel (the digital images related to the field and the crop grown in the field) will better be addressed by this decision support model. So the convergence and emergence of such information will further pave the way for categorisation and grouping of the production systems for the better extension delivery. In a big country like India where the farmers and holdings are many in number and diversified categorically such grouping is inevitable and also economical. With this premise an attempt has been made to develop a precision farming model suitable for the developing countries like India.

  • 경제발전과 더불어 사회가 복잡 다양화해질수록 교육활동도 이에 부응하기 위하여 기존의 교육방식에서 벗어나 다양한 학습형태를 띠게 되었다. 특히 다양성을 요구하는 교육소비자의 욕구에 부응하기 위한 현장체험, 위험한 교육 기자재 및 시설의 사용기회 증대와 학생들의 개성이 강해지는 추세에 따라 최근 들어 학교사고는 날로 증가하는 추세에 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학교사고의 발생에 따라 피해자가 제일 먼저 피해보상을 청구하는 학교안전공제회의 보상체계 및 현행 공제회 시스템의 문제점과 개선방안을 학교안전공제회의 급여 범위 측면에서 검토하여 교육현장에 있는 교원들에게 시사하는 바를 제시하고자 한다.

  • This study analyses the cross-application system, one of the diversified college admission processes, based on the entrance examination system by the reorganization of the education curriculum. In addition, this study suggests an improvement direction of mathematics education for students who cross-apply by comparing and analysing academic results in Calculus for those students entering universities through the cross-application system.

Smart City Energy Inclusion, Towards Becoming a Better Place to Live

  • Where is a better place to live? In the coming era, this should be more than simply a livable place. It should be an adaptable place that has a flexible system adaptable to any new situation in terms of diversity. Customization and real-time operation are needed in order to realize this technologically. We expect a smart city to have a flexible system that applies technologies of self-monitoring and self-response, thereby being a promising city model towards being a better place to live. Energy demand and supply is a crucial issue concerning our expectations for the flexible system of a smart city because it is indispensable to comfortable living, especially city living. Although it may seem that energy diversification, such as the energy mix of a country, is a matter of overriding concern, the central point is the scale of place to build grids for realizing sustainable urban energy systems. A traditional hard energy path supported by huge centralized energy systems based on fossil and nuclear fuels on a national scale has already faced difficult problems, particularly in terms of energy flexibility/resilience. On the other hand, an alternative soft energy path consisting of small diversified energy systems based on renewable energy sources on a local scale has limitations regarding stability, variability, and supply potential despite the relatively light economic/technological burden that must be assumed to realize it. As another alternative, we can adopt a holonic path incorporating an alternative soft energy path with a traditional hard energy path complimentarily based on load management. This has a high affinity with the flexible system of a smart city. At a system level, the purpose of all of the paths mentioned above is not energy itself but the service it provides. If the expected energy service is fixed, the conclusive factor in choosing a more appropriate system is accessibility to the energy service. Accessibility refers to reliability and affordability; the former encompasses the level of energy self-sufficiency, and the latter encompasses the extent of energy saving. From this point of view, it seems that the small diversified energy systems of a soft energy path have a clear advantage over the huge centralized energy systems of a hard energy path. However, some insuperable limitations still remain, so it is reasonable to consider both energy systems continuing to coexist in a multiplexing energy system employing a holonic path to create and maintain reliable and affordable access to energy services that cover households'/enterprises' basic energy needs. If this is embodied in a smart city concept, this is nothing else but smart energy inclusion. In Japan, following the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, a trend towards small diversified energy systems of a soft energy path intensified in order to realize a nuclear-free society. As a result, the Government of Japan proclaimed in its Fifth Strategic Energy Plan that renewable energy must be the main source of power in Japan by 2050. Accordingly, Sony vowed that all the energy it uses would come from renewable sources by 2040. In this situation, it is expected that smart energy inclusion will be achieved by the Japanese version of a smart grid based on the concept of a minimum cost scheme and demand response.

  • 본 연구는 최근 들어 DDoS 공격이 단순히 서비스를 방해하는 것에서 벗어나, 다양한 공격 기법을 혼합한 멀티벡터(Multi-Vector) 공격으로 발전하고 있다. 이러한 멀티벡터 공격은 DDoS 공격과 더불어 악성코드를 감염시켜, 내부 정보 유출 및 좀비PC를 만들어 DDoS 공격용에 활용될 경우에는 기존의 DDoS 공격 및 악성코드 감염에 대한 방어 전략으로는 한계점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 방법을 이용한 멀티벡터 공격을 효과적으로 방어하기 위한 Reverse Proxy Group과 PMS(Patch Management Server)를 제시하고자 한다.
