  • We consider the M/PH,G/1 queue with two classes of customers in which class-1 customers have deterministic impatience time and have preemptive priority over class-2 customers who are assumed to be infinitely patient. The service times of class-1 and class-2 customers have a phase-type distribution and a general distribution, respectively. We obtain performance measures of class-2 customers such as the queue length distribution, the waiting time distribution and the sojourn time distribution, by analyzing the busy period of class-1 customers. We also compute the moments of the queue length and the waiting and sojourn times.

  • In this research, with the FEM we analyzed the variation of the sound pressure and thermal distribution of a Class IV Flextensional transducer in relation to its material properties and structures. Based on the results, we determined optimal structure of a Class IV Flextensional transducer that had maximum sound pressure, minimum thermal distribution, and 1 kHz resonance frequency. The sound pressure by the optimal structure is higher than that of the basic structure by two times, and the thermal distribution is much lower. Results of the present work can be utilized to design Class IV Flextensional transducers of various resonance frequency, maximum sound pressure, and minimum thermal distribution.

  • A new class of bivariate distributions is derived by specifying its conditionals as the exponential and gamma distributions. Some properties and relations with other distributions of the new class are studied. In particular, the estimation of parameters is considered by the methods of maximum likelihood and pseudolikelihood of a special case of the new class. An application using a real bivariate data is given for illustrating the flexibility of the new class in this context, and, also, for comparing the estimation results obtained by the maximum likelihood and pseudolikelihood methods.

  • This study was conducted to distribution characteristic of root diameter class between natural and planted stands of one-age class in Pinus densiflora for. eracta in Gangwon. Root development presented that 0.5-2.0 mm diameter class was large part in total root number and length but 0.5-2.0 mm diameter class have a low distribution in each stand. Below 5.0 mm diameter class between natural and planted stands observed outstanding natural stand more than planted stand, but reverse over 5.0 mm diameter class. Root development depending on soil level of vertical and horizontal was presented various natural stand more than planted stand because root distribution of planted stand was concentrated low soil level in 10 cm of soil depth and 20 cm of soil horizontal layer. We can understand that the root distribution presented different between natural and planted stand, therefore this result can used as a basic information for correct of outplanting.

  • Young's modulus of composite has been predicted by Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method modified with Mori-Tanaka's mean field theory, where short fibers of aspect ratio distribution are assumed to be aligned. Young's modulus of the composite is predicted with the smallest class interval for simulating the actual distribution of fiber aspect ratio, which is compared with that computed using different class intervals. Young's modulus of the composite predicted with mean aspect ratio or the largest class interval is overestimated by the maximum 10%. As the class interval of short fibers for predicting Young's modulus decreases, the predicted results show good agreements with those obtained using the actual distribution of fiber aspect ratio. It can be finally concluded from the study that if and only if the class interval of short fiber normalized by the maximum aspect ratio is smaller than 0.1, the predicted results are consistent with those obtained using the actual distribution of aspect ratio.

  • Public utilities adopt the grounding rules ; class I, class II, class III and special class III, and install the grounding electrodes in distribution facilities. To keep the safety of the human and the facilities, Public utilities also manage the value of ground resistance in distribution system biennially. At present the Hook-On meter is normally used to measure the ground resistance although it has ${\pm}5[%]$ measuring error and it can not measure the exact value when the current is over 1[A]. In addition it is very difficult to use the fall-of-potential method in distribution system. In this paper we propose the new measurement method using ground current of distribution system as the current source.

  • Based on increasing concave ordering a new class of life distribution is introduced. The new class of life distribution is named used better than aged in increasing concave ordering and is denoted by UBAC(2). The implication of our proposed class of life distribution with other classes is given. The properties of UBAC(2) under convolution, discrete mixture and formation of a coherent system are studied. Finally a characterization of the proposed class of life distributions by Laplace transform is discussed.

  • The paper also introduces a new Distribution Class ground lead disconnector design that not only extends the claimable detonation range well below the 20 amps specified in industry standards, but is very durable when exposed to severe arrester durability tests. Finally. this paper shows how this next generation disconnector interacts with the connected arrester to improve the overvoltage withstand capability of the arrester assembly. The interaction of the disconnector grading capacitor with the series-connected arrester metal oxide disc elements actually improves the arrester assembly temporary overvoltage withstand capability, making the design less vulnerable to TOV failures. Since the vast majority of distribution class arresters are sold domestically with ground lead disconnectors, this design improvement in the disconnector to improve detonation reliability also translates into a significantly improved distribution class arrester design.

  • The aim of this study was to generate systemic data for the aquatic plant distribution according to water depth and crossing slope in the shoreline. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Anxiety to 0 near area Bidens frondosa, Scirpus tabernaemontani, Carex dispalata etc. total class 21 observe, and Phragmites communis, Iris pseudoacorus etc. class 6 of anxiety 0-70cm extent examined. Class 21 of anxiety observed all such as Bidens frondosa, Scirpus tabernaemontani, Carex dispalata in near area to 0, and Phragmites communis, Iris pseudoacorus etc. class 6 of anxiety 0-70cm extent examined. Anxiety 70-100cm extent Nymphoides indica, Ttapa japonica etc.. class 2 appeared to line Zizania latifolia, Typha angustata back 2 papers, 130cm and examined that Nelumbo nucifera was limit anxiety state 230cm. 2. Aquatic plants of Phragmites communis, Zizania latifolia, Typha angustata etc. range mainly to gentle gradient of slant 10 degree low and distribution pattern was ranging by Zizania latifolia, Typha angustata, Phragmites communis period of ten days from deepwater place. Nelumbo nucifera was forming become independent stock keeping away invasion of plant that ability to breed was different because was prosperous. Slant 10 bores was growing near sleep in been strange steep slope earth and distribution of emerged plant appeared punily and emerged plant and swampy land plant were ranged extensively in gentle gradient of 10 degree low. 3. On lake surrounding plant when wish to do distribution of natural conditions reference need to. That is, gentle gradient and distribution form of steep slope earth are different, and same pitch must consider enough this because appear as distribution, distribution according to that some plant species were growing was different.

  • In this paper, we study a generalization of the modified Weibull distribution. The generalization follows the recent work of Cordeiro et al. (2013) and is based on a class of exponentiated generalized distributions that can be interpreted as a double construction of Lehmann. We introduce a class of exponentiated generalized modified Weibull (EGMW) distribution and provide a list of some well-known distributions embedded within the proposed distribution. We derive some mathematical properties of this class that include ordinary moments, generating function and order statistics. We propose a maximum likelihood method to estimate model parameters and provide simulation results to assess the model performance. Real data is used to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed distribution for modeling reliability data.
