Recently, basic literacy education related to digital literacy and data literacy has been emphasized for students who will live in a rapidly developing future digital society. Accordingly, demand for education to improve big data and data literacy is also increasing in general universities and universities of education as basic knowledge. Therefore, this study designed and applied big data analysis courses for pre-service teachers and analyzed the impact on data literacy. As a result of analyzing the interest and understanding of the input program, it was confirmed that it was an appropriate form for the level of pre-service teachers, and there was a significant improvement in competencies in all areas of 'knowledge', 'skills', and 'values and attitudes' of data literacy. It is hoped that the results of this study will contribute to enhancing the data literacy of students and pre-served teachers by helping with systematic data literacy educational research.

As affective barriers to library and information use, library anxiety(Mellon, 1986) has been studied in reference/information services and bibliographic instructions. The paper revisits Mellon's theory of library anxiety and Bostick's(1992) Library Anxiety Scale(LAS) in the digital library environment. In particular, this study attempts to address the inadequacy of the continued applications of LAS in the digital library environment, although the scale has been used unquestionably as the instrument measuring library anxiety. This contention was substantiated by three service trends in digital libraries(i.e., digital reference services, remote access, and transition from bibliographic instructions to information literacy) and by re-analyses of published library anxiety research papers in recent years. This study addresses the need for scale development that could measure anxieties of digital library users. It also suggests Information Literacy Anxiety Scale(ILAS) as a direction for the new scale.

In recent trends, the first age of digital device usage has been significantly getting low and the using frequencies for younger generation have been gradually increasing. Also, while there were more negative opinions of this trend in the past, the new idea is changing to more needs of training and approaches for children's sound using guidelines for digital device. In fact, people believe the new generation will face more advanced future, called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of the paper is first to explain about the Jacques Lacan's concept of desire theory in order to understand the human's unconscious level through His desire theory. Second, the paper identifies how this unconscious level is affected to ethical aspects of new generations whose unconscious level are frequently and early exposed to digital media. Lastly, the paper will present the necessity of digital literacy education as well as future direction. Furthermore, the paper review for what is the ethics and positive guidelines of digital media for children who will become the future citizens in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Internet is being used in daily life, information literacy for the aged is become necessary. For the aged, they can communicate with different age groups and can improve their lives as a component of the society through information literacy. In this paper, we first analyze the computer class of Gumi Senior Welfare Center of Gyeongsangbuk-Do and then present the questionnaire including their needs for education and their changes after receiving information literacy. We also give the future direction of information literacy for the aged. The results of this paper will be useful to improve the lives of the local aged.

As the media changes, communication patterns in modern society have been changed as well. This change in the media environment has also transformed the required literacy and it is time to accept this new literacy in Korean language education. At this point, this paper inspected the perception of media literacy classes of 73 teachers currently in the field of Korean language education. The results show that most teachers are aware of the media literacy which has changed socially, and show strong agreement that this changed literacy should be applied in the field of Korean language education. However, today's media literacy education is passive. Although teachers generally understand the dynamic features of newly emerging digital media, it remains as a tool in class. The teachers pointed out that device problems such as device environment and the spread of media are one of the many reasons for such passive usage. However, the more fundamental problem is that the new communication environment has not been reflected in the curriculum actively. Teachers thought that media literacy has a close relationship with Korean proficiency. Also, they saw that this kind of media literacy will be required for Korean learners in the future with more importance. Based on the results of the study, this paper argues that Korean language education needs to accept and reflect the changes of media in the curriculum.

Digital literacy is vital knowledge and ability of an individual in the information society. As the level of digital literacy increases, the interest in privacy protection increases. This change may hinder the use of digital technologies and services. This research examines (1) the mediating effect of online social participation and information veracity on smart device literacy and privacy concerns, and (2) the moderating effect of privacy literacy. Using Korean media panel survey data reported in 2020 and in 2021, this study analyzes the responses of 7,737 people who use smart devices and participate in online activities. SPSS and PROCESS Macro are used to test the research model and hypotheses. In the analysis of 2020 and 2021 survey, this research shows that smart device literacy has major effects on privacy concerns; confirms that the mediating effect of online social participation; moderated meditating effect of privacy literacy. Although information veracity is not significant in 2020, mediating and moderated mediating effects are found in 2021.

The current study aims to examine whether dementia service utilization is associated with cognitive function and whether health literacy moderates the relationship between dementia service utilization and cognitive function. Data were drawn from the 2016 Dementia Literacy Survey collected by K University. The final analytic sample included 522 community-dwelling older Koreans aged 60 to 79. Results from multivariate regression analyses showed that both dementia service use and higher levels of health literacy were related to better cognitive function and that health literacy had significant moderating effects. When older adults used dementia service, those with higher levels of health literacy reported higher levels of cognitive function than those with lower levels of health literacy. Our findings suggest that health literacy plays an important role in determining the cognitive health benefits arising from dementia service utilization.

Social innovation refers to activities that solve social problems by developing new ideas in cooperation with actors close to the field for the purpose of preserving the sustainability of society. In the field of social innovation, voices calling for a bottom-up method that starts with citizen participation are growing, and the need to improve public officials' awareness of social innovation and strengthen professionalism is being raised. In the era of Covid 19 and the 4th industrial revolution, digital literacy is being emphasized to us. In the field of social innovation, the need to strengthen social activities using digital media is growing. In this paper, an example of online social innovation project education based on the design thinking methodology was presented for public officials in Busan to improve their awareness of social innovation and secure expertise, and the effect of job competency reinforcement was statistically verified. As a result of statistical analysis, the average difference between the 'online communication' factor and the 'online empathy' factor was the largest, and it can be interpreted that digital literacy for social innovation has been strengthened.

The wave of a knowledge and information society led by AI, Big Data, and so on is having an all-round impact on our way of life. Therefore the Ministry of Education is in a hurry to strengthen Digital Literacy, including AI and SW Education, by improving the curriculum that can cultivate basic knowledge and capabilities to respond to changes in the future society. It can be seen that establishing a foundation for cultivating Digital Literacy through all subjects and improving basic and in-depth learning in new technology fields such as AI linked to the information curriculum is an essential part for future society. However, research on each content for cultivating Digital and AI literacy is relatively active, while research on teaching and learning strategies is insufficient. Therefore in this study, a CT-based Digital and AI teaching and learning strategy that can foster that was developed and Delphi expert verification was conducted, and the final teaching and learning strategy was completed after evaluating instructor usability and analyzing learner effectiveness.

In the capital market, there has been a need to improve the level of financial literacy in order to make the right economic decision, and to increase the responsiveness of advanced countries to financial problems and to be more responsive to the economic environment. In this study, we analyzed whether the liberal accounting education implemented with the goal of improving the level of financial literacy of students in K University was effective. The effects of financial literacy level were analyzed after conducting tests for each phase after opening an liberal accounting. The analysis showed that students' level of financial literacy increased after the education of liberal accounting. These results indicate that the education of liberal accounting is more effective for improving financial literacy and show that liberal accounting are useful in the preparation of financial literacy programs in each university.
