  • Nowadays, most of exhibits are material antiquities while the exhibit of intangible cultural heritage is deficient and the form is less advanced which cannot meet the exhibition needs of digital times. This has resulted in insufficient display of intangible heritage's value which may not facilitate inherit and protection of intangible heritage, no other than protection mechanism of forming healthy industrialization. This article has established digital exhibition mode in museum about intangible cultural heritage by analysis on current museum and using mobile communication and augmented reality techniques. Discuss the mode in the layer integrating creative industry and mobile industry and provide practicable reference project of forming the healthy industrialization mechanism for protecting intangible heritage.

  • Since the 1990s, digital technology has been actively applied in the field of heritage, and this presents a new possibility of using cultural heritage as a way to utilize the original cultural data that was previously recorded and stored. Methods of interpreting cultural heritage have been particularly diversified due to various external circumstances such as COVID-19 and time constraints, and the use of contactless digital content has played a significant role in built heritage that cannot be moved. Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology is considered as a way to properly express the authenticity of built heritage, but simply creating built heritage content with BIM cannot express the authenticity of cultural heritage. Therefore, it is necessary to show the reliability of the process of content production through an authorized institution and to provide the information of members on the content. This study intends to contribute to the field of digital heritage by suggesting ways to improve reliability and express authenticity in the production of built heritage content.

  • Libraries, archives and museums share the common mission of collecting and providing access to cultural heritage for the use of both current and future generations. Although the evolution of these cultural heritage institutions have taken place separately, distinguishing publications, records and 3-dimensional objects, it is expected that the pervasive digital environment will not allow the distinction remain effective for long. The present study aims at exploring commonalities and differences of the cultural heritage institutions and illuminating the necessities and possibilities of collaboration among them.

  • Digital data was collected using modern three-dimensional digital technology. Current content-specific technologies were investigated through domestic and foreign cases so that three-dimensional digital technology could be applied to the utilization of various contents. First, the use of three-dimensional digital technology of architectural cultural assets has been changing from the restoration of cultural assets. Second, some of the contents produced were found to be underutilized. Third, the type of content has been changing in experience and exhibition, but the online approach was small. Fourth, digital restoration using domestic IT technology has been used as a technology to restore overseas cultural heritage. The fifth analysis of the relationship between the content types and 3D digital technologies shows the use of currently limited technologies. This study analyzed the status of digital architecture and the application of three-dimensional digital technologies to lay the foundation for the active development and utilization of content. Subsequent studies on various layers and digital technologies will be needed to revitalize digital architectural cultural assets in the future.

  • The color appearance of cultural heritage are essential factors for manufacturing technique interpretation, conservation treatment usage, and condition monitoring. Therefore, this study systematically established color reproduction procedures based on the digital color management system for the portrait of Gwon Eungsu. Moreover, various application strategies for recording and conserving the cultural heritage were proposed. Overall color reproduction processes were conducted in the following order: photography condition setting, standard color measurements, digital photography, color correction, and color space creation. Therefore, compared with the color appearance, the digital image applied to a camera maker profile indicated an average color difference of 𝜟10.1. However, the digital reproduction result based on the color management system exhibits an average color difference of 𝜟1.1, which is close to the color appearance. This means that although digital photography conditions are optimized, recording the color appearance is difficult when relying on the correction algorithm developed by the camera maker. Therefore, the digital color reproduction of cultural heritage is required through color correction and color space creation based on the raw digital image, which is a crucial process for documenting the color appearance. Additionally, the recording of color appearance through digital color reproduction is important for condition evaluation, conservation treatment, and restoration of cultural heritage. Furthermore, standard data of imaging analysis are available for discoloration monitoring.

  • The overall digital transformation in society is rapidly progressing with the corona virus epidemic. In particular, in the field of cultural heritage and museums, digital transformation is taking place throughout the preservation, management, and utilization of cultural heritage. To respond to this, the importance of cultivating the digital literacy of museum professionals to select and utilize digital cultural heritage information is increasing. However, the current digital capacity education of museum professionals has not reached the cultivation of digital literacy due to one-way theory and one-way practical education. To overcome this, we propose a digital capacity building program using virtual museums. We propose a curriculum based on participatory museums, cooperative learning, and project-based learning theories. Learners experience the entire process of acquiring, selecting, and utilizing digital cultural heritage information through individual, cooperative, constant, exhibitions, and project-based learning programs. We were evaluated by experts in terms of education, museum education, and ICT technology education to prove its usability and derive improvements. This study will contribute to building the digital capacity of museum professionals.

  • This study was conducted to establish practical goals for the viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system of cultural heritage and to create an viewing environment according to the classification of cultural heritage types, and the conclusions reached are as follows. First, five goals were set based on the international basic principles of the cultural heritage viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system. Second, based on the set goals, cultural heritage was classified into the first type 'disappeared and hidden heritage', the second type 'stuffed memory heritage', and the third type 'living memory heritage'. Third, the directions for creating the viewing environment for each type of cultural heritage were suggested. The first type has to be able to properly convey cultural heritage to visitors through excavation and digital technology. The second type needs a plan to deliver tangible and intangible values by combining various digital technologies with actual cultural heritage. The third type should emphasize the role of local residents in effectively enjoying the tangible and intangible values ??that already exist. Fourth, it proposed comprehensive considerations in the establishment of the cultural heritage viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system. Based on dynamic and sustainable heritage management, cultural heritage viewing should be valuable, satisfying and enjoyable. In addition, local communities should be actively involved, and tourism and conservation activities should be able to benefit the community. Establishment of a viewing environment should protect and strengthen the authenticity of cultural heritage.
