소결온도와 열처리시간에 따른 SCT 세라믹스의 유전특성 (Dielectric Properties of SCT Ceramics with the Sintering Temperature and the Thermal Treatment Time)

  • ln this paper, the $Sr_{l-x}Ca_xTiO_3(0\leqx\leq0.2)-based$ grain boundary layer ceramics were fabricated to measure dielectric properties with the sintering temperature and the thermal treatment time. The sintering temperature and time were $1420~15206{\circ}C$, 4hours, and the thermal treatment temperature and time of the specimen were $l150^{\circ}C$, 1, 2, 3hours, respectively. The structural and the dielectric properties were investigated by SEM, X-ray, HP4194A and K6517. The average grain size was increased with increasing the sintering temperature, but it decreased up to 15mo1% with increasing content of Ca. X-ray diffraction analysis results showed that all specimens were the cubic structure, and the main peaks were moved to right and the lattice constant were decreased with increasing content of Ca. The appropriate thermal treatment time and temperature of CuO to obtain dielectric properties of $\varepsilon_r>50000,\; tan \delta<0.05\; and \;\DeltaC<\pm10%$ were 2hrs and $l150^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • This paper describes the dielectric analysis of several insulators for home appliances. The dielectric characteristics of ABS(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) were tested in relative permittivity, dielectric loss($tan{\delta}$) and specific resistance and compared with those of the other 4 insulators of PE(polyethylene) series. As a result, the relative permittivity of only the ABS slightly decreased with temperature. In the case of the tan6, the ABS showed higher dielectric loss than the other insulators but more excellent thermal performance. In addition, its changing pattern in specific resistance was very similar to that in $tan{\delta}$.

VDCN계 공중합체의 비선형 유전 특성 (Nonlinear Dielectric Properties of VDCN Copolymers)

  • Linear and nonlinear complex permittivities were measured for copolymers of vinylidene cyanide(VDCN) with vinyl acetate(VAc), vinyl propionate(VPr), vinyl bezoate(VBz), styrene(St) and methyl methacrylate(MMA). Experimental results are well fitted by the function (equation omitted) except at low frequency where dc conduction dominates. The analysis of dielectric relaxation mechanism by combined knowledge about linear and nonlinear dielectric permittivities and dipoles give us informations about electrical and thermal motions in these copolymers. According to the analysis it could be found that the variation for temperature of the dielectric relaxation strength in these copolymers is related to the interaction between dipoles and the nonlinear dielectric effect factor R$_{s}$ is proportional to square of the dipolar correlation factor R$_{p}$././.

Polyethylene-Based Dielectric Composites Containing Polyhedral Oligomeric SilSesquioxanes Obtained by Ball Milling

  • High-energy ball milling was tested as a method for producing Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)- based nanodielectrics containing 1 wt% and 5 wt% OctaIsoButylPOSS (OibPOSS). Qualitative and quantitative evaluations were used to explore the compatibility between OibPOSS and PE. Several ball milling variables were optimized in a bid to achieve UHMWPE/OibPOSS nanodielectrics. The morphology, as well as the thermal and the dielectric properties of the samples, were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, broadband dielectric spectroscopy, and progressive-stress breakdown tests. The results showed that (i) ball milling was an effective method for producing UHMWPE/OibPOSS dielectric composites, but appeared ineffective in dispersing OibPOSS at the nanoscale, and (ii) the resulting UHMWPE/OibPOSS dielectric composites presented thermal and dielectric properties similar to those of neat UHMWPE.

견인전동기 고정자 코일의 열적 열화특성 (Properties of Thermal Performance on Stator Coil of Traction Motor by Accelerated Test)

  • The 200 class insulation system which adopted to traction motor have excellent dielectric strength but weaken to thermal stress therefore deterioration phenomena analysis according to thermal stress is necessary. Accelerated thermal aging tests have been used to determine thermal reliability of stator coils used as traction motor in electric multiple unit. The conventional aging test is carried on according to IEC 60034-18-31 and IEEE Std. 275-1992. Variation in insulation resistance, P.I, capacitance, dielectric loss($tan{\delta}$) and partial discharge are measured during the aging cycle. Sample coils for traction motor were tested by accelerated aging test which composed of heat, vibration and moisture. Reliability and expected life were evaluated on the insulation system for traction motor.

  • In this paper, fabricated by MEMS uncooled micro-bolometer detector for the study in the infrared sensitivity enhancement. Absorption layer SiOx-Metal series MDTF (metal-dielectric thin film) by high absorption rate and has a high thermal coefficient of resistance, low noise characteristics were implemented. Then MDTF were made in a vacuum deposition method. And MDTF for the analysis of the physical properties of silicon wafers were fabricated, TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) value was made in order to measure the glass wafer and FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy) values were made in order to measure the germanium window. The analyzed results of MDTF -3 [%/K] has more characteristics of the TCR. And 8~12 um wavelength region close to 70% in the absorption characteristic.

  • The electrical, chemical and mechanical characteristics in transformer insulations are changed due to thermal stress. It is known that characteristics of transformer insulations is deteriorated such as decrease of dielectric strength, deterioration of dielectric constant and tensile strength of paper as transformer oil and paper are aged by thermal stress. Furthermore, chemical characteristics of them are deteriorated as like increment of moisture contents and dissolved by-products in oil, etc. In this paper we have been investigated chemical characteristics of transformer by accelerated thermal aging. For this working we have made experimental test cell and aged at a temperature up to $140^{\circ}C$ for 500 hours. The oil-paper insulation samples have been measured at intervals of 100 hours. For analysis we used Karl-Fisher titration method and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

  • 전자소자의 방열모듈에서 두께 방향의 열방출 특성에 대한 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 금속과 금속의 본딩 및 유전체와 금속의 본딩 구조를 갖는 2가지 종류의 2층 층상재료를 제조한 후 두께 방향으로 열확산계수를 측정하였다. 금속(STS439)과 금속(Al6061)으로 이루어진 2층 층상재료에서는 섬광법(LFA)으로 열확산계수를 측정했을 때, 열흐름의 방향을 반대로 변화시켜도 열확산계수의 변화가 없었다. 그런데, 유전체(AlN-Polymer)와 금속(Al6061)의 2층 층상재료에서는 열흐름의 방향을 반대로 인가하였을 때 열확산계수는 17.5% 정도 다르게 나타났다. 유전체와 금속의 단면구조를 갖는 2층 층상재료에서, 금속에서 유전체 방향으로 측정한 열확산계수가 유전체에서 금속 방향으로 측정한 열확산계수에 비해 17.5% 작게 나타난 이유는, 금속내의 전자가 갖고 있던 에너지가 유전체 쪽으로 전달되기 위해서는 계면 주변에서 포논의 에너지 형태로 변환될 때 저항이 생기기 때문이다.

Effect of Sintering Temperature on Structural and Dielectric Properties of (Ba0.54Sr0.36Ca0.10)TiO3 Thick Films

  • Barium strontium calcium titanate powders were prepared with the sol-gel method. Ferroelectric $(Ba_{0.54}Sr_{0.36}Ca_{0.1})TiO_3$(BSCT) thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method on alumina substrate. Then we investigated the structural and dielectric properties of the BSCT thick films at different sintering temperatures. The thermal analysis showed that the BSCT polycrystalline perovskite phase formed at around $660^{\circ}C$. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed a cubic perovskite structure with no second phase present in all of the BSCT thick films. The average grain size and the thickness of the specimens sintered at $1450^{\circ}C$ were about $1.6{\mu}m$ and $45{\mu}m$, respectively. The relative dielectric constant increased and the dielectric loss decreased as the sintering temperature was increased; for BSCT thick films sintered at $1450^{\circ}C$ the values of the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss were 5641 and 0.4%, respectively, at 1 kHz.

평판형 유전체 장벽 방전 반응기에서 Acetonitrile의 분해 특성 (Decomposition of Acetonitrile by Planar Type Dielectric Barrier Discharge Reactor)

  • A combined process of non-thermal plasma and catalytic techniques has been investigated to treat toxic gas compounds in air. The treated gas in the present study is $CH_3$CN that has been known to be a simulant of toxic chemical agent. A planar type dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) reactor has been used to generate non-thermal plasma that produces various chemically active species, O, N, OH, $O_3$, ion, electrons, etc. Several different types of adsorbents and catalysts, which are MS 5A, MS 13X, Pt/alumina, are packed into the plasma reactor, and have been tested to save power consumption and to treat by-products. Various aspects of the present techniques, which are decomposition efficiencies along with the power consumption, by-product analysis, reaction pathways modified by the adsorbents and catalysts, have been discussed in the present study.
