Cable knitting, one of the most representative structures of knitwear has been applied to a number of knit items in a variety of expressions every season. The purpose of this study is to analyze the various types of expressions applied with cable knitting techniques to make the necessary data for planning cable knit designs. The types of cable knitting were devide into two categories which are based on the cable knitting pattern and structure. Based on the pattern, firstly, formal type is a reproduction of traditional Aran knit style and is usually applied to a practical and comfortable timeless knit product. Secondly, informal type is irregular applied to patterns and directions to highlight the dynamics of cable patterns. Thirdly, contrasting type emphasizes the cable pattern by contrasting the color of the part of the cable pattern. Fourthly, figurative type is the expression of the conceptual motifs and using the cable knit pattern itself as motif. Based on the structure, firstly, open type is to emphasize patterns and spaces by utilizing open spaces created by the intersection of cabling stitches. Secondly, decorative type is to enhance the ornamental effect of cable knitting by various methods and other subsidiary materials. Thirdly, avant-garde type is applied in various ways with exaggerated volumes or textures using the three-dimensional effects of cable knitting. Through this study, we look forward to the possibility of expressing the unique aesthetic characteristics of each of the various knitting techniques.

The boundaries between fashion and contemporary art are increasingly blurred showing their interchangeability. This study examines Judith Butler and Athena Athanasiou's concept of dispossession to analyze expressions of gender, racial, and class identity in Martine Gutierrez's representative work, Indigenous Woman. First, gender expressions in Indigenous Woman emphasize the possibility of performative and practical gender as an image that rejects norms that grant authority according to the possession of innate body parts. Second, racial identity is expressed through resistance to the ideology of whiteness and imperialism reinforced by fashion media. The author aims to overcome normative stereotypes through the media she creates, which reveals her identity as a person of color. Third, class identity is represented through stereotypes that limit the lives of indigenous people to primitive and natural things. The author reveals a critical awareness of the hierarchical structure and cultural appropriation these stereotypes have created. This study analyzed contemporary artworks using fashion media through the concept of dispossession. The significance of this study lies in raising a critical awareness of the practices that diffuse minority identities in fashion media.

Purpose: The purpose is to investigate the types of communication between aviation industry workers and passengers according to environmental changes following the COVID-19 pandemic. This study analyzes the impact of verbal and non-verbal communication styles of airport staff, especially those working at airline check-in counters, on passenger satisfaction. Research Design: The research design focuses on the impact of verbal communication styles and non-verbal communication factors of airline check-in counter staff, who represent the initial point of contact with passengers among airport staff, on passenger satisfaction. The survey period for sample collection was from July 1 to July 30, 2023, and the study was conducted targeting passengers boarding aircraft through Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport. Result: First, it is important for airport staff to recognize all passengers, especially corporate customers, as corporate customers rather than simply as individuals boarding an airplane. Second, as the importance of non-verbal expressions increases due to the impact of COVID-19, physical and verbal responses are necessary. Third, it is important to check which language the passenger understands. Conclusions: Since communication through nonverbal expressions has become more important since COVID-19, airport employees need to recognize the importance of nonverbal communication. This awareness can serve as a foundation for building trust between airport staff and passengers.

This study relates to the development of a program for calculating the design data and estimating on the Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism. First, we set the Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism design variables and derive the relational expressions between them. With this expressions, we could develope the program that outputs the numerical data for the Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism design and three evaluation data for the Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism analysis when the face-length, the effective convergent incident angle of incident beam, and the refraction index of prism are given. In fact, applying this program to the prism which is not the commercial size, we were able to calculate the design data very quickly, and we could easily understand the optical structure of the designed Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism by the three evaluation data. This means that we can quickly ensure the structural data of the Abbe-$K{\ddot{o}}nig$ prism which is required for the product development.

The aspects of contemporary society change have been changed rapidly running for function value on the part of part industrialization and information-oriented. Here upon also in the field of the contemporary interior design, answering sensual desire of users, various arts and cultural tendency, the concept of surrealism is being applied in design introducing the concept of surrealism positive. And fantastical and unreasonable expression features of surrealism are being used as subjective essential elements to make new spaces. Especially amoung various kinds of the interiors designs, the features like surrealistic expressions in Food & Beverage Space which proper identity and strong symbolism will be expressed can be recognized as appropriate expression patterns to give still more sensitivity stimuli to customers. Thus this research disclosed conceptual and ideological background of surrealism and also analyzed and studied surrealistic expression features applied to the interiors designs of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space through expression disposition, study and classification of techniques. And standing on the result of analyzing surrealistic expression features of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space with a key word of expression features derived we groped for estatescape trend demanded in Food & Beverage Space and direction coming.

The Sectional Design Model(AASHTO LRFD) is appropriate for the design of typical bridge girders, slabs, and other regions of components where the assumptions of traditional engineering beam theory are valid. The shear resistance of a concrete member may be separated into a component, $V_c$, that relies on tensile stresses in the concrete, $V_s$, that relies on tensile stresses in the transverse reinforcement. The expressions for $V_c$ and $V_s$ apply to both prestressed and nonprestressed section, with the terms ${\beta}$ and ${\theta}$ depending on the applied loading(M, V, N, and T) and the properties of the section. With ${\beta}$ taken as 2.0 and ${\theta}$ as 45$^{\circ}$, the expressions for shear strength become essentially identical to those traditionally used for evaluating shear resistance. Recent large-scale experiments, however, have demonstrated that these traditional expression can be seriously unconservative for large members not containing transverse reinforcement. And This paper can present only a brief introduction to shear design of AASHTO LRFD and is to review of the technical difficulty.

It should grant artistic values that can satisfy consumers having various tastes and scarcity values, plus it should put out aesthetic and creative expressions in furniture design putting into the beautiful traditional craft form values. Furthermore, it is required to create new design through values and spirit, materials, techniques, forms, pattern, and usages by interacting, coordinating, and combining tradition and modern East and West, plus craft and design.

In this paper, a theoretical analysis is carried out to study the lubrication characteristics of sealless piston for hydraulic cylinders. The analytical pressure distributions are obtained solving one-dimensional Reynolds equation with partially tapered moving piston. Nearly analytical expressions for lateral forces acting on the piston and leakage flow rate through the clearance are also presented. Using the analytical expressions, the influence of design parameters on lubrication characteristics can be easily evaluated without numerical analysis. Composite-shaped piston which minimizes the leakage flow rate is the optimum in sealless piston for hydraulic cylinder.
