With the recent development of IT technology, research and interest in various biosignal measuring devices is increasing. As an aging society is in full swing, research on the elderly population using IT-related technologies is continuously developing. This study is about the development of life pattern detection and fall detection algorithm, which is one of the medical service areas for the elderly, who are rapidly developing as they enter a super-aged society. This study consisted of a system using a 3-axis accelerometer and an electrocardiogram sensor, collected data, and then analyzed the data. It was confirmed that behavioral patterns could be classified from the actual research results. In order to evaluate the usefulness of the human activity monitoring system implemented in this study, experiments were performed under various conditions, such as changes in posture and walking speed, and signal magnitude range and signal vector magnitude parameters reflecting the acceleration of gravity of the human body and the degree of human activity. was extracted. And the possibility of discrimination according to the condition of the subject was examined by these parameter values.

This survey study was attempted for two purposes : 1) to grasp Korea National Open University(KNOU) students' changing aspects for their education need through comparison analyses with 1996 data ; 2) to establish foundation of the systematic network formation by investgating students' opinion about network framework. Among randomly assigned 4,500 students, 1,505 KNOU nursing students who allowed to participate in the study completed the questionnaires. The data were collected by mail. For the comparison 1996 data were also used. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, and t-test. Results of this study were as follows 1. The admission purposes of the KNOU nursing students were 'in order to get a bachelor's degree (70.7%)', 'to do studying and working simultaneously(43.0%)', or 'to be admitted for the graduate school (41%)' etc. Comparing the admission purposes by age, the investigator found 4 items which are 'small amount of tuition', 'graduate school admission', 'aspiration for the university', 'promotion or commencement of work' showed statistically significant differences. These 4 items were also found to show significant differences by marital status. 2. In relation to the learning media, the study showed most students(74%) got effective informations from the school newspaper(36.5%) or peer group(37.7%). The result showed that few students (0.7%) used the computer for communication. The research indicated that KNOU nursing students have tendency to rely on printed materials more than on broadcasting media. This is almost the same result as that of 1996. 3. The results revealed that 12.4% of the respondents had ever experienced unregistration or temporary withdrawal. The most common reason for the unregistration was 'due to family affairs or their job (71.3%)'. There were no change for this aspects with 1996. 4. As for the professors-students network formation. The result revealed that 38.5% students among respondents had heard of the network formation. 78.7% of respondents, however, positively responed that they would willingly participate in the networking if it is made. Especially the students showed much interest in 'the improvement for the understanding of study' and 'strengthening of the relations between professors and students'.
Hierarchy which is often named as the tree-structure is used to reduce complexity and show primitive structures of complicated information. This paper aims at explaining information-visualization methods using hierarchies in multimedia domains and prospecting the possible applications by examining how they affect the user's tasks involved in information-seeking activities. As a result, four types of information visualization methods named Treemap, Hyperbolic, Cone Tree and DOI Tree employed in multimedia domain, are presented and pros and cons of each method are explained in this paper. Another important part is defining the core tasks and other related-tasks in information-seeking activities, such as, overview, zoom, filter, details-on-demand, relate, history, and extract. Followings are major findings. Treemap uses 'overview' as the core task, which makes user to gain a overall meaning of the whole information cluster. Hyperbolic and DOI Tree apply 'Boom' task through the function of focus+context or by the function of meaningful scaling to magnify or downsize each node. Cone Tree, also, makes the information organizer to classify the patterns of information acquired in the process of users' information-seeking activities by using 'extract' task. Through this study, it is finally found out that the information-visualization methods using hierarchies in multimedia domains should incorporate the wide variety of functional needs related to users' information-seeking behaviors beyond the visual representation of information.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of parental educational involvement and mathematical attitude perceived by students on math motivation and math anxiety. The results showed that parents' educational involvement had effect on students' motivation to learn mathematics and had a significant effect on mathematics anxiety. In addition, the parents 'mathematical attitude has a significant effect on the motivation of the students, and the higher the mathematical attitude of the parents, the lower the mathematics anxiety of the students but the higher the students' mathematics anxiety. This suggests that even if the parents are educated, the parents can influence their motivation to learn mathematics, rather the more the achievement pressure becomes, the higher the educational involvement. In addition, the parents' mathematical attitude is independent of the degree of educational involvement, and parents can expect to increase their motivation to learn mathematics by nurturing with positive and positive perceptions and attitudes. In order to do this, it is a time when parents' education for the recognition of parents' right mathematics courses and their interest in education and the role of education are positively required.

This research aimed to develop teaching-learning plans applying character education components and STAD cooperative learning strategy focusing on the 'Housing and residential environment' unit in accordance with the 2009 revised Technology·Home Economics curriculum. In order to achieve the purpose of the research, this study was conducted in order of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The results of this study is as follows. First, at the analysis stage, relevant literature, Technology·Home economics curriculum, and the contents of "housing and residential environment" unit from 12 textbooks published by 12 publishers were analyzed. Second, at the design stage, teaching-learning plans, teaching materials, and learning activity sheets applying character education components and STAD cooperative learning strategy were designed to increase the interest degree of the learner and character of middle school students. Third, at the development stage, a total of 8 classes of teaching-learning plan was developed. In the evaluation stage, the primary and secondary validity evaluation procedures were done by Home Economics education professors and Home Economics teachers. Teaching-learning plans and learning activity sheets were revised and complemented based on the feedback from the first validity evaluation. As a result of secondary validity evaluation, it can be seen that the teaching-learning plans and learning activity sheets developed in this research are reasonable and suitable for improving character of middle school students. It is expected that these teaching materials applying STAD and character education components will be utilized as a helpful source for curriculum developers and in-service teachers.
The purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge, attitudes and needs of preventive education for dementia in adults and provide them as basic data for developing nursing intervention strategies and preventive education programs for preventing dementia in adults. It collected data from 127 adults living in Seoul who agreed to the study and data were collected through personal interviews using a questionnaire. The level of dementia knowledge was high at 8.17, while the level of dementia attitude was high at 7.14, the need for dementia education was 4.56. The need for dementia preventive education was significant difference in the level of education, and the degree of interest in dementia preventive education showed a significant difference in the participant's occupation. The correlation of knowledge, attitudes and educational needs about dementia showed a significant amount of correlation. In this study, adults had a high level of knowledge about dementia and high attitude scores on dementia. Further studies are needed to increase the positive attitude toward dementia, education programs that increase knowledge need to be provided continuously as they are related to the increase in knowledge about dementia.
The interest of expecting the liquefaction damage is increasing due to the liquefaction in Pohang in 2017. Liquefaction is defined as a phenomenon that the ground can not support the superstructure due to loss of the strength of the ground. As an alternative against this, many studies are being conducted to increase the precision and to compose a liquefaction hazard map for the purpose of identifying the scale of liquefaction damage using the liquefaction potential index (LPI). In this research, in order to analyze the degree of precision with regard to spatial interpolation objects such as LPI value and geotechnical information for LPI determination, liquefaction hazard map were made for the target area. Furthermore, based on the trend of precision, probability value was analyzed using probability maps prepared through qualitative characteristics. Based on the analysis results, the precision of the liquefaction hazard map setting the spatial interpolation object as geotechnical information is higher than that as LPI value. Furthermore, the precision of the liquefaction hazard map does not affect the distribution of the probability value.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of Collaborative Problem solving for Character competency (CoProC) applied science classes on the character competence and scientific affective characteristics of vocational high school students. To achieve this, two junior classes of chemical industry majors in a vocational high school, were selected as the experimental group with 43 participants, and character competence test, scientific affective characteristic test, group discussion voice recordings, reflection activity sheets were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the experimental group showed a statistically significant differences in value for the total character competence test score compared to the control group, and it had statistically significant differences in the nine lower character competence factors. Based on the results of the scientific affective characteristic test result, the experimental group was higher in total score to a statistically significant degree compared to the control group, and showed a statistically significant difference in seven of the lower factors, excluding consistency in interest. Therefore, science classes with CoProC applied were effective in cultivating the character competence and enhancing the scientific affective characteristics of vocational high school students.

Purpose In order to calculate the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) accurately, it is important to acquire the best septal view of left ventricle in the multi-gated cardiac blood pool scan (GBP). This study aims to acquire the best septal view by measuring angle of ventricular septal wall (${\theta}$) using enhanced CT scan and compare with conventional method using left anterior oblique (LAO) 45 view. Materials and Methods From March to July in 2015, we analyzed the 253 patients who underwent both enhanced chest CT and GBP scan in the department of nuclear medicine at National Cancer Center. Angle (${\theta}$) between ventricular septum and imaginary midline was measured in transverse image of enhanced chest CT scan, and the patients whose difference between the angle of ${\theta}$ and 45 degree was more than 10 degrees were included. GBP scan was acquired using both LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ views, and LVEFs measured by automated and manual region of interest (Auto-ROI and Manual-ROI) modes respectively were analyzed. Results $Mean{\pm}SD$ of ${\theta}$ on total 253 patients was $37.0{\pm}8.5^{\circ}$. Among them, the patients whose difference between 45 and ${\theta}$ degrees were more than ${\pm}10$ degrees were 88 patients ($29.3{\pm}6.1^{\circ}$). In Auto-ROI mode, there was statistically significant difference between LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ (LVEF $45=62.0{\pm}6.6%$ vs. LVEF ${\theta}=64.0{\pm}5.6%$; P = 0.001). In Manual-ROI mode, there was also statistically significant difference between LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ (LVEF $45=66.7{\pm}7.2%$ vs. LVEF ${\theta}=69.0{\pm}6.4%$; P < 0.001). Intraclass correlation coefficients of both methods were more than 95%. In case of comparison between Auto-ROI and Manual ROI of each LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$, there was no significant difference statistically. Conclusion We could measure the angle of ventricular septal wall accurately by using transverse image of enhanced chest CT and applied to LAO acquisition in the GBP scan. It might be the alternative method to acquire the best septal view of LAO effectively. We could notify significant difference between conventional LAO 45 and LAO ${\theta}$ view.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the learning effects according to the level of Science State Curiosity (SSC) and Science State Anxiety (SSA) in science learning situation for 5th~6th grade elementary school students. To achieve this purpose, we measured and analyzed SSC and SSA in each learning situation by dividing science learning into three situations: Confronting scientific task (I), Checking the results (II), and Learning science concepts (III). In order to identify the net effects of SSC and SSA on learning effects, science curiosity, need for cognition, science self-concept, science anxiety, and interest, which were expected to affect the learning effects, were controlled. SSC and SSA in the situation of confronting scientific tasks were defined as 'SSCI' and 'SSAI,' SSC and SSA in the situation of checking the results were defined as 'SSCII' and 'SSAII,' and SSC and SSA in the situation of learning science concepts were defined as 'SSCIII' and 'SSAIII.' In addition, the learning effects were divided into post-learning effect and delayed post-learning effect, and the degree of improvements in the post- or delayed post-test scores compared to the pre-test score were calculated and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, SSCI·SSCII had a positive effect on the post- and the delayed post-learning effect, but SSAIII had a negative effect on the post- and delayed post-learning effect, SSAI·SSAII had a negative effect on the post-learning effect. SSC had a greater effect on learning effects than SSA, and SSCII had the most influence on the post-learning effect and SSCI had the most influence on the delayed post-learning effect. As SSCIII increased, there was a tendency to do additional voluntary learning. The results of this study are expected to broaden the understanding of students' emotional states in science learning and provide a theoretical foundation for studies of state curiosity and state anxiety.
