부산 동삼동 지역의 대기오염농도 특성 (Characteristics of air pollution concentration on Dongsamdong, Pusan)

  • This study was conduced to examine the monthly and seasonal variation of $SO_2$, TSP, $O_3$ concentration in Dongsamdong, Pusan coastal area. And the characteristics of air pollution of this area was compared to Kwangbokdong in Pusan and Taehadong in Ullungdo. Monthly mean concentration of $SO_2$ and TSP showed lower than Kwangbokdong, $O_3$ was higher than Kwangbokdong. In case of $SO_2$, seasonal variation of Dongsamdong was remarkabler thn Kwangbokdong and the concentration difference of early morning and daytime was higher than Kwangbokdong. Taehadong showed very lower concentration as background area. In case of TSP, Dongsamdong was lower concentration and smaller diurnal change than Kwangbokdong, Taehadong showed very lower concentration as backgound area. In case of $O_3$, Dongsamdong was 10ppb higher than Kwangbokdong at daytime maximum concentration, diurnal change of concentration was higher, too. In case of frequency distribution of concentration, $SO_2$, and TSP at Dongsamdong showed higher frequency in low concentration class and $O_3$ showed in high concentration class as compared with Kwangbokdong.

DSC를 이용한 소형기기 구동의 DC-DC Converter 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of DC-DC converter to drive small instruments using DSC)

  • In this research, we have studied the development of dc-dc converter suitable for the driving of mobile instruments by using a dye-sensitized solar cell(DSC). We also have designed a interlocking circuit. The circuit makes power from DSC be saved in one battery and concurrently be discharged in the other battery. As this application, mobile devices like MP3, cellular phone are drived by using power from DSC during the daytime and they can be drived by using the saving energy of the daytime during the night. Besides, we designed dc-dc converter circuit to drive low power instruments by using NMOS switch and PMOS rectifier.

대학생들의 수면 형태와 수면에 대한 인식 (College Students' Sleep Type and Awareness of Sleep)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was conducted to identify college students' sleep type and awareness of sleep. Methods. We researched 250 students in a college using the Korean Translation of Composite Scale(KtCS) and awareness of sleep questionnaire. Results. The sleeping hour of college students was 395.28 minute in average. The research showed that the biggest reason for the lack of sleep is using the computer, mobile and watching TV(22.6%), and most of them said that the lack of sleep is causing drowsiness during the daytime( 29.2%). For the questions asking when they feel drowsy during the daytime, most of them forcing themselves to stay awake(29.2%) and they caught up on sleep on the weekend(32.5%). Conclusions. Therefore college students to keep relevant sleep time and to know about the importance of the sleep.

주암호에 대한 질소화합물의 대기건식침적 특성 (Atmospheric Dry Deposition Characteristics of Nitrogen-containing Compounds into Juam Reservoir)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate atmospheric dry deposition of inorganic nitrogen-containing compounds to waterbody. Target waterbody is Juam reservoir functioning as one of the major water supply sources in Chollanamdo. Nitrate and ammonium dry deposition fluxes were directly measured using dry deposition plate (DDP) covered with greased strips and a water surface sampler (WSS). The daytime average $NO_{3}^{-}\;and\;NH_{4}^{+}$ fluxes measured with DDP and WSS were $1.7\∼2.6$ times higher than those at nighttime. The seasonal average flux of $NH_{4}^{+}$ showed the highest value in summer. The daytime and nighttime average dry deposition fluxes of particulate phase Nitogen-containing Compounds ($1.13,\;0.80\;mg/m^{2}$ day) were much higher than those of gas phase compounds ($0.50,\;0.24\;mg/m^{2}$ day).

  • Air quality modeling for coastal urban region has been composed of a complex system including meteorological, chemical and physical processes and emission characteristics in complex terrain. In this study, we studied about an effect prediction for deposition phenomenon affecting on air quality in Pusan metopolitan metropolitan city. In air quality modeling including ship sources, a situation considered deposition process habe better result than not considered when compared with observed value. Air pollutants emitted into urban air during the daytime nearly removed through urban atmosphere polluted. Also these phenomena correlated concentration variation connent with sea/land breezes and terrain effect. Therefore we conclude that the concentration was low at daytime when deposition flux is high, and deposition effect on industrial complex and Dongrae region is considerable in particular.

오령산(五苓散)으로 호전된 일차성 불면증 1례 임상 보고 (A Case Report of Primary Insomnia treated by Oryeong-san decoction)

  • Objective : This case report aims to demonstrate the effect of Oryeong-san on Insomnia. Methods : A 26 year old woman suffered from insomnia with mental and physical exhaustion, reduced stamina, lack of concentration in daytime. According to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with Taeyang-byung and treated by Oryeong-san decoction. The result of administration was evaluated by Insomnia Severity Index. Results : After administration of Oryeong-san decoction for 1 month, Insomnia Severity Index was decreased from 24(clinical insomnia, severe) to 1(no clinically significant insomnia). Conclusions : The patient completely recovered from insomnia and daytime symptoms as treated by Oryeong-san decoction according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions.

As this application, mobile devices such as MP3, cellular phone are operated by using power generator from DSC during the daytime and they can be operated by using the saving energy of the daytime during the night. Consequently, it has a simple and robust circuit configuration. Besides, we designed dc-dc converter circuit to drive low power instruments by using NMOS switch and PMOS rectifier. Operational modes are analysed, and then validity of the proposed interface circuit is verified through DCS.

백호가인삼탕(白虎加人參湯) 투여 후 호전된 과다수면장애 1례 임상 보고 (A Case Report: The Effect of Baekhogainsam-tang on Hypersomnolence)

  • Objective : This case report aimed to demonstrate the effect of Baekhogainsam-tang on hypersomnolence. Methods : A 33-year-old woman complained of hypersomnolence with fatigue and lack of concentration in the daytime. According to the diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions (DPIDS), the patient was treated with Baekhogainsam-tang decoction. The result was evaluated by the Epworth Sleep Scale. Results : After administration of Baekhogainsam-tang decoction for 30 days, the Epworth Sleep Scale score was decreased from 15 (pathologic sleepiness) to 1 (no clinically significant sleepiness). Conclusions : The patient completely recovered from hypersomnolence and fatigue following treatment with Baekhogainsam-tang decoction according to DPIDS.

Radiosonde Sensors Bias in Precipitable Water Vapor From Comparisons With Global Positioning System Measurements

  • In this study, we compared the precipitable water vapor (PWV) data derived from the radiosonde observation data at Sokcho Observatory and the PWV data at Sokcho Global Positioning System (GPS) Observatory provided by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, for the years of 2006, 2008, 2010, and analyzed the radiosonde seasonal, diurnal bias according to radiosonde sensor types. In the scatter diagram of the daytime and nighttime radiosonde PWV data and the GPS PWV data, dry bias was found in the daytime radiosonde observation as known in the previous study. Overall, the tendency that the wet bias of the radiosonde PWV increased as the GPS PWV decreased and the dry bias of the radiosonde PWV increased as the GPS PWV increased. The quantitative analysis of the bias and error of the radiosonde PWV data showed that the mean bias decreased in the nighttime except for 2006 winter, and in comparison for summer, RS92-SGP sensor showed the highest quality.

  • Sleep apnea syndrome is a common clinical disorder characterized by intermittent cessation of airflow at nose and mouth during sleep. The clinical significance of this syndrome is that it is one of the most common causes of excessive daytime sleepiness. It can also cause neuropsychiatric, cardiovascular, and cerebrovascular complications. The standard for diagnosis of sleep apnea syndrome is nocturnal polysomnography. Because polysomnography is a time-consuming and expensive test, many efforts have been made to replace polysomnography with a simpler system of monitoring, but no method has yet been approved as a definitive investigation method. The goals of treatment for this syndrome are to eliminate excessive daytime sleepiness and to reduce the risk of possible cardiovascular complications. Continuous positive airway pressure is the most definite and widely accepted treatment for achieving these goals. Other treatments such as surgical treatment, oral appliances, and behavioral therapy may be useful for selected patients who are mildly affected.
