충격흡수시설의 탑승자보호 성능평가 기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Injury Criteria of the Occupant Protection Performance of Crush Cushions)

  • The performance of crash cushion systems is certified through the full scale crash tests by the standard for installation and maintenance guidelines for roadside safety appurtenance. The impact severities of impacting vehicles in collision with crash cushion systems are rated by indices THIV and PHD. Crash test results are considered to study the performance of three crash cushion systems. In case of the frontal impact or the offset frontal impact, the results show that THIV values of three systems are very close to the threshold limit for the occupant protection. Also, the results show that PHD would be improper for the occupant protection performance index. In order to improve the occupant protection performance of crash cushions, ASI needs to be included in the impact severity index.

  • Turbine power control devices at a nuclear / thermoelectric power plant lead to failure by creating mechanical shocks and strong vibrations that are due to the strong elasticity of a spring and the inertia of the valve face during its rapid movement to block steam. To ensure durability of the turbine power control device, which is the main component in the power plant, it is necessary to develop a device that can prevent such vibrations. In this study, a cushion mechanism is added to the head of the hydraulic servo actuator, which is a turbine power control device. Moreover, the cushion mechanism, which includes various modifies shapes and orifices is investigated dynamically through modeling and simulations.

  • For mass production of stamped parts, which require complicated in-press operations, it is always advisable to use a progressive die set. It is difficult to choose a progressive die set if the stamped parts need to be deep drawn and especially if they are unsymmetrical. Because unsymmetrical deep drawing parts are very sensitive to the effect of weight during moving to the next step, they are hard to exactly locate on the die face. An automotive seat side cushion panel is about 80mm high, unsymmetrical and its low edge needs hemming, so it is hard to produce even using a progressive die set. In the current paper a progressive stamping for seat side cushion panel was examined. Five strip bridges were considered to be strong enough to move to the next die as predicted by the CAE analysis.

  • Of all of pneumatic components utilized in the make up of pneumatic circuits on either automatic assembly machine or industrial equipment, the pneumatic cylinder is more oriented toward being a structural as well as a pneumatic member. The structural design must be based to a large degree on the end of application of the cylinder on the equipment it is operating. In this paper, design studies of a double-acting pneumatic cushion type cylinder with low-friction and high-speed driving have been developed. Of interest here is to investigate the structural analysis of cylinder tube, piston rod, end cover, and to analyze the buckling of piston rod. Also, a relief valve type cushion mechanism is considered. This cushion mechanism is found to be adequate under a high-speed driving of pneumatic cylinders.

  • Generally, The women was used in the cosmetic cushion fact. It has developed with the consideration of manufacturing. In this study, we designed green-friendly and element parts lower and single cushion fact containers using a single material. Injection mold simulation were performed using on 3D design data. The injection mold simulation used the data (Injection time / Cooling time / Temperature / Pressure) in the injection mold parameters. In addition, the sink mark phenomenon in the simulation results is analyzed as a problem due to the thickness and further research is needed in the future.

자석 척력의 자전거 쿠션장치 적용 및 비선형성 고찰 (An Observation of the Application of a Magnetic Force to the Bicycle Cushion System and its Nonlinearity)

  • This paper describes the dynamical behavior of the bicycle and its nonlinear effect when magnetic repulsive forces are applied to the bicycle cushion system. A finite-element method was used to obtain its reliabilities by comparing the experimental and numerical values and select the proper magnet sizes. The Equivalent spring stiffness values were evaluated in terms of both linear and nonlinear approximations, where the nonlinear effect was specifically investigated for the ride comfort. The corresponding equations of linear and nonlinear motion were derived for the numerical model with three degrees of freedom. Dynamic behaviors were observed when the bicycle ran over a curvilinear road in the form of a sinusoidal curve. The analysis in this paper for the observed nonlinearity of magnetic repulsive forces will be a useful guide to more accurately predict the cushion design for any vehicle system.

고속 공기압 쿠션 실린더의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a High-Speed Pneumatic Cushion Cylinder)

In this paper, design studies of a double-acting pneumatic cushion type cylinder with low-friction and high-speed driving have been developed. Of interest here is to investigate the stress and strain analysis of cylinder tube, piston rod, end cover, and to analyze the buckling of piston rod. A finite element analysis is carried out to compute the distribution of the displacement, stress and safety factors by using ANSYS. As a result, the structural safety factors of each parts in pneumatic cushion cylinder are evaluated and confirmed at the design specifications.

  • Hydraulic actuator is a primary component of the hydraulic valve systems. This paper describes a motion characteristic of hydraulic actuator with various configurations of cushion. It plays an important role in protecting the actuator from the shock when the piston reaches the end position. Numerical analyses were conducted by using commercial code, ANSYS with k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulent model. The results for pressure and velocity distributions in the hydraulic actuator with different cushion shapes were graphically depicted.

  • 충격흡수시설의 충돌거동은 보통 0.4초 미만의 짧은 순간에 일어나므로 삼차원의 매우 복잡한 거동을 수치적으로 계산한다는 것은 쉽지 않다. 따라서 새로운 충격흡수시설을 개발할 때 특별한 설계단계를 거치지 않고 실물차량 충돌시험에만 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 충돌시험에서 탑승자 안전도를 평가하기 위해서 계측기를 통해 가속도와 각속도를 추출하여 계산하고 있으며 고속카메라를 이용해 차량과 충격흡수시설의 충돌거동을 촬영한다. 하지만 고속카메라 영상의 활용범위는 제한적으로 사용되고 있으며, 탑승자 안전도 분석이나 충격흡수시설의 에너지소산 메커니즘을 분석하기위해 활용된 사례가 없다. 본 연구에서는 계측기로부터 획득한 데이타와 고속카메라 영상분석을 통해 추출된 데이타를 비교해 적합성 여부를 판단하고 탑승자 안전도 해석이나 충돌거동을 분석 에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다.

고갈가스전의 가스저장전 전환 시 쿠션가스와 가스재생산율과의 관계 분석 (An Analysis of Relationship between Cushion Gas and Gas Withdrawal in Depleted Gas Reservoir as a Gas Storage)

  • 고갈가스전은 저류층을 개발할 당시 충분한 탄성파 탐사 및 시추 등을 수행하기 때문에 지질구조와 저류층의 물성 등의 파악이 완료된 상태이므로 가스저장전으로의 전환이 용이하다. 이러한 고갈가스전을 가스저장전으로 전환 시 저류층의 압력을 유지하기 위한 쿠션가스는 재생산을 위해 주입된 워킹가스의 재생산율에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 쿠션가스와 가스재생산율과의 관계 및 재생산 사이클에 따른 적정 쿠션가스의 양을 분석하기 위해 가스저장전의 주입 및 재생산에 대한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 주입 및 재생산 사이클은 5개월 주입 5개월 생산, 7개월 주입 3개월 생산 두 가지 경우에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 본 시스템을 대상으로 수행한 분석결과, 5개월 주입 5개월 생산 사이클의 경우 최소 10개의 생산정으로 50%의 쿠션가스를 유지해야 안정적인 생산이 가능하였고, 7개월 주입 3개월 생산 사이클의 경우 12개의 생산정으로 60%의 쿠션가스를 유지해야 안정적인 재생산이 가능한 것으로 산출되었다.
