스마트 식물 재배기의 양액 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Culture Media Control of Smart Plant Cultivator)

  • In this paper, a closed hydroponics device was designed and fabricated to grow and harvest plants in a small space for safe consumption, which enables horticultural activities that are difficult to perform due to space constraints from urbanization. This device also aimed to minimize the air pollution of crops. To obtain data for the optimal growth conditions for crops in this intelligent plant-growing system, sensors were used to measure and control the growth conditions. To investigate the optimal growth conditions, blue lettuce and crown daisy were selected as representative crops. The growth rates were comparatively analyzed through four experiments for each plant. This hydroponics device was used to collect data on growth rates that are altered depending on cultivation conditions, which can then be used to study methods to control the growth rate of crops.

녹색잎 채소류의 ${\beta}$-Carotene과 Lutein 함량 (Beta-carotene and Lutein Contents in Green Leafy Vegetables)

  • Beta-carotene and lutein contents in 7 different green leafy vegetables(perilla leaf, mugwort, chwi, lettuce, spinach, leek, and crown daisy) were analyzed by HPLC. The isocratic separation was performed on a ${\mu}-Bondapak$ $C_{18}$ column with a solvent system of acetonitrile : dichloromethane : methanol = 70:20:10. To check the reliability of the method applied, precision and recovery tests were performed. Perilla leaf showed the highest ${\beta}-carotene$ content(12,570 ${\mu}g$ / 100 g), followed by mugwort and chwi, all of those have ${\le}10,000\{\mu}g\{\beta}-carotene$ per 100 g vegetables. Green lettuce, spinach, leek, crown daisy and reddish brown lettuce contained 9,869, 6,689, 5,664, 3,601 and 3,299 ${\mu}g\{\beta}-carotene/100 g$, respectively, Lutein content was the highest in perilla leaf($13,718{\mu}g/100 g$) followed by chwi($11,989{\mu}g/100 g$), mugwort($11,522{\mu}g/100 g$), green lettuce($10,307{\mu}g/100 g$) and spinach($10,115{\mu}g/100 g$). ${\beta}-carotene$ contents in perilla leaf, mugwort, chwi and green lettuce were 47.8~49.6% of total carotenoids, and ${\beta}-carotene$ contents in the other green leafy vegetables analyzed were 37.7~41.4% Vitamin A contents of green leafy vegetables analyzed by HPLC were 2~6 times higher than the vitamin A values shown in food composition tables except crown daisy.

전자선 조사의 채소 종자 및 식물병원성 미생물에 대한 영향 (Effect of Electron Beam Irradiation on Selected Vegetable Seeds and Plant-Pathogenic Microorganisms)

  • 본 연구에서는 식물병원성 미생물들인 잿빛곰팡이와 Agrobacterium rhizogenes의 전자선에 대한 감수성을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 2 kGy의 전자선량이 잿빛곰팡이의 분생포자 및 Agrobacterium rhizgenes의 세포를 사멸시키는 데에 충분한 것으로 나타났다. 식물 종자의 전자선에 대한 저항성을 조사해 본 결과, 대파, 열무와 오이 종자는 2 kGy의 전자선 조사에서도 발아율이 전혀 영향을 받지 않았고, 쑥갓 종자의 경우에는 발아율에 있어서 근소한 감소를 보였다. 그러나 고추와 상추의 경우에는 전자선 조사에 대해서 대단히 약한 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 열무, 오이, 대파 및 쑥갓 종자의 경우에는 식물병원성 미생물의 살균에 필요한 2 kGy의 전자선량을 조사함으로써 발아율에 큰 영향을 미치지 않고 충분한 살균효과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 고추와 상추의 경우에는 전자선을 이용한 살균 방법은 사용하기 어려운 것으로 나타났다.

충북지역에 유통되는 일부 채소 농산물의 잔류농약 모니터링 (Monitoring of Pesticide Residues in Vegetables Collected in Chungbuk, Korea)

  • This study is being executed to investigate the pesticide residues for agricultural products on the markets in Chungbuk area from 2010 to 2012. The samples used were chard, perilla leaf, leek, spinach, crown daisy, marsh mallow, and winter grown cabbage, These were analyzed by GC/MSD and GC/ECD. Agricultural pesticide levels of spinach was 23.4%, winter grown cabbage 20.6%, chard 14.9%, marsh mallow 14.0%, perilla leaf 13.1%, leek 8.4%, and crown daisy 5.6%. Exceeds of residual pesticides were spinach, chard, leek, perilla leaf, and marsh mallow. Based on these results, a risk assessment was being conducted by used a percentage of acceptable daily intake (%ADI). The %ADI ranged from 0.00014% to 1.73910%, and these values was indicated to have no effects on human health.

Determination of Formaldehyde in Cigarette Smoke and Inhibitory Effect of Plant Volatile Extracts on the Formation of Formaldehyde

  • Formaldehyde (FA) is a carcinogenic compound present in cigarette smoke. In this study, the amount of formaldehyde was analyzed in 5 kinds of cigarettes and the inhibitory effect of plant volatile extracts on the formation of FA was investigated. After extraction of the cigarette sample, FA was converted into its thiazolidine derivatives by reaction with cysteamine, and then measured using a gas chromatography-nitrogen phosphorus detector (GC-NPD). The concentrations of FA in cigarette smoke were found between 138.24 and $217.82{\mu}mol/g$ cigarette smoke. Extracts isolated from Welsh onion (Allium cepa L.), garlic (Allium sativum L.), crown daisy (Chrylsanthemum coronarium L.), green pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), and sesame dropwort (Oenanthe javanica DC) were used for analyzing their inhibitory effects on the formation of FA. The inhibitory effects of extracts of Welsh onion, garlic, crown daisy, green pepper, and sesame dropwort on the formation of FA were 64, 47, 38, 47, and 19%, respectively.

쑥갓 중 bifenthrin과 chlorothalonil의 경시적 잔류량 변화 및 생물학적 반감기 (Dissipation of Bifenthrin and Chlorothalonil in Crown Daisy during Cultivation and their Biological Half-lives)

  • 쑥갓의 안전성 확보를 위하여 쑥갓 재배기간 중 bifenthrin 및 chlorothalonil의 잔류양상을 연구하였다. 쑥갓에 유효성분 bifenthrin을 살포 후 0일(3시간)은 $0.90{\pm}0.07mg/kg$을 보였고, 26일후에는 $0.14{\pm}0.01mg/kg$이었으며, chlorothalonil은 0일(3시간)에 $79.12{\pm}6.02mg/kg$, 26일후에는 $4.60{\pm}1.33mg/kg$으로 나타났다. 쑥갓 중 bifenthrin과 chlorothalonil의 회수율은 각각 $88.67{\pm}7.97%$$99.90{\pm}16.03%$로 유효한 회수율 범위를 보였다. 쑥갓의 생육 기간 중 농약의 잔류량 변화는 first order kinetics model을 적용하여 해석한 결과 bifenthrin의 반감기는 9.63일이었으며, chlorothalonil은 6.54일이었다. 산출된 두 농약의 감소상수를 이용하여 생산단계 잔류 허용기준을 산출한 결과 bifenthrin의 수확 26일 전 잔류량은 11.7 mg/kg이었으며, chlorothalonil은 24.1 mg/kg이었는데 수확 예정일에는 두 농약의 잔류허용기준이 모두 5.0 mg/kg 이하로 잔류하여 안전할 것으로 판단되었다. 쑥갓 생산단계 농산물의 농약 잔류허용기준을 설정하는데 기초자료로 활용하여 농산물 유통단계의 부적합에 따른 생산자의 경제적 손실을 최소화하고 소비자에 대한 안전성을 강화할 수 있다고 사료된다.

옥상 텃밭용 채소를 이용한 인공지반 녹화연구 (Rooftop Vegetable Garden for Green Roof System)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of soil depth and planting density on the growth of lettuce, crown daisy, and strawberry on a rooftop condition using artificial soil as a growth media. The vegetable crops showed better growth for plant height (cm), plant width (cm), plant fresh weight (g), and Fo, Fm and Fv/m on 20cm depth soil than 10cm depth soil except strawberry. Planting density of $16/m^2$ and $64/m^2$ did not show significant differences on the growth of the crops. Soil moisture content and EC were low for 10cm depth soil in lettuce plots, whereas there was no significant differences on soil moisture and EC between two soil depth in strawberry plots. Hunter's L, a, and b values showed the leaf color of lettuce dark green on 20cm depth soil and reddish on 10cm depth soil. Results showed that soil depth suitable for crop growth on rooftop conditions was 20cm rather than 10cm. Growth response of the crops showed no significant difference between $16/m^2$ and $64/m^2$, indicating that planting density of 64 $plants/m^2$ could be practiced on rooftop conditions. Lettuce growth rapidly changed in control treatment in which leaves were not pinched out, while slowly changed in plants which leaves were periodically pinched out. In the case of control plot, it was impossible to harvest because withering of lower leaves after blossom on June 22. The plant of crown daisy in which pinching was not conducted, blossomed on June 7, and the plants were removed since its aesthetical value was lost. Strawberry seemed to be a suitable vegetable crop for rooftop conditions based on its high covering rate and extended growth period until late October. The soil depth 20cm and planting density 64 $plants/m^2$ were suitable for vegetable crops on green roof system using artificial soil.

염류축적 토양에서 몇 가지 채소의 토양 염류 제염 효과 (Desalinized Effect of Some Vegetable Crops in Salinized Soil)

  • 본 연구는 몇 가지 채소(비트, 쑥갓, 상추, 케일, 무, 시금치, 단옥수수, 토마토)의 제염효과를 알아보기 위해 인위적으로 처리한 염류 집적 토양에서 재배후 작물 생육과 토양내 염류 함량을 조사하였다. 채소작물별 초장으로 본 생육은 EC $5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$의 염류토양에서 상추와 쑥갓의 생육이 가장 크게 억제되었다. EC $5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$수준의 염류토양에서 EC 잔존율은 토마토, 옥수수, 케일 순으로 낮았으며 비료 성분별 제염효과는 $NO_3의 경우는 옥수수, 토마토, 케일, K는 옥수수, 토마토, 비트, $P_2O_5$는 옥수수와 토마토가 가장 우수하였다. 제염효과는 재배기간이 60일이었던 토마토, 옥수수가 가장 우수하였으나, 염류토양 재배시 수확물의 상품성 저하와 재배시기 주작물 재배시기와 겹치는 문제가 있고, 생체중당 제염효과는 낮았다. 이에 반해 케일은 재배기간 30일로 짧고, 생육억제효과가 적으며, 생체중당 제염효과가 가장 우수하여 제염효과가 있는 전작 작물로 적합하리라 사료된다.

한국 식품재료로 상용되는 식물로부터 분리한 향기추출물의 항산화능 탐색 (Analysis and Antioxidant Activity of Volatile Extracts from Plants Commonly Used in Korean Foods)

  • 식물체로 한국에서의 식품 재료로 주로 사용되는 미나리, 쑥갓, 참깨가 지닌 향기 성분의 항산화능에 대하여 연구하였다. 식물체 식품재료의 향기 성분은 감압하의 증기 증류와 dichloromethane을 용매로한 액체-액체 연속 추출을 이용하여 추출하였고, 추출된 향기 성분의 정성 및 정량 분석과 이들이 지닌 항산화능에 대하여 연구하였다. 연구 결과는 미나리, 쑥갓, 참깨의 고유한 향기 성분을 가진다는 것과 이들의 향기 추출물이 Aldehyde/Carboxylic acid assay와 Lipid MA assay에서 항산화능을 가지고 있음을 보여준다. 특히, 쑥갓의 향기 추출물은 $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 두 실험결과에서 모두 50% 이상의 항산화능을 나타냈다. Aldehyde/Carboxylic acid assay에서 $100{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 참깨의 향기 추출물이 90%이상의 항산화 효과를 보였고, 쑥갓과 미나리의 향기추출물이 각각 63%, 12%의 항산화 효과를 나타냈다. $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 hexanal 산화 저해 효과는 참깨>쑥갓>미나리의 순으로 나타났다. 쑥갓, 참깨의 향기 추출물은 95% 이상의 항산화 효과를 보였고, 미나리의 향기 추출물은 25%로 가장 작은 항산화 효과를 보였다. 이 세 가지 식품소재의 향기성분들은 천연항산화제인 {\alpha}-tocopherol$과 비교하여도 뒤떨어지지 않았다 Lipid MA assay에서는 $100{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 MA형성에 대한 저해 효과는 마늘이 $20{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서처럼 51%로 가장 높았고 미나리와 참깨가 각각 41%, 12%를 나타냈었다. $500{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 MA 저해 효과는 쑥갓>미나리>참깨의 순으로, 각각 54, 48, 29%를 나타냈다. 참깨는 20, $100{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서처럼 가장 작은 효과를 보여줬고, 쑥갓은 50% 이상의 항산화 효과를 나타냈다. Aldehyde/Carboxylic acid assay에서는 참깨가 가장 높은 효과를 보여줬지만 Lipid MA asaay에서는 그에 비해 가장 낮은 효과를 나타냈다.

Application of Solid Phase Microextraction to the Analysis of Pesticides in Vegetables

  • Solid phase micro-extraction (SPME), a solvent-free, rapid and inexpensive method for the extraction of organic compounds from aqueous sample matrices, was evaluated for determination of the 120 pesticides in vegetables such as crown daisy, perilla leaf, leafy lettuce and to mato. The analysis conditions were chosen for the SPME method: 15 min of immersion of the PDMS fiber in 10 ml of the solution with stirring at 1,000 rpm. The recovery tests were carried out in triplicate. The range of recoveries was 0-142% for organochlorine pesticides and $4.9\sim200\%$ for organophosphorus pesticides. The recoveries were very low in the pesticide groups with low solubility in water. The recoveries became lower in proportion to the interference materials in vegetables. The recovery in tomato was relatively higher than that in perilla Ie af and crown daisy. The recovery values obtained by SPE and SPME were compared. In leaf y lettuce, recovery obtained by SPE method ranged from $58.1\%\;to\;136.1\%$ and recovery by SPME ranged from $9.6\%\;to\;176.3\%$ In organophosphorus pesticides. The recovery in SPME method was satisfactory with $136\%$ for ethoprophos, $119\%$ for methidathion and $113\%$ for diazinon. Meanwhile, recovery of EPN, phenthoate and 2,4-DDT revealed relatively low value of $38\%,\;41\%\;and\;3.4\%,$ respectively. However, most of pesticides applied to SPME method sho wed constant recovery and precision. From these results, it can be concluded that solid phase micro-extraction might be an appropriate method for the screening test of pesticides in vegetables.
