무인자동화를 위한 컨테이너크레인의 제어구조 (Control Architecture for Automated Container Cranes)

  • Demands for higher productivity in container terminal environments continues to escalate consideration of equipment upgrades. And then transportation of containers using the automated container crane becomes more and more important for productivity enhancements. Introducing a hybrid control architecture to the container crane, it provides a effective means to the automated operation of the container crane. This paper addresses the methodology for automation of container cranes. In addition, this paper proposes a new control architecture for the automated container crane and explains each component of that architecture. The control architecture is composed of a deliberative control layer, a sequencing layer, and a reactive control layer. The proposed architecture is applied to a dual-hoist double-trolley container crane.

초대형 선박용 차세대 컨테이너 크레인의 설계기준 (Design Criteria of a Future Container Crane for Megaships)

  • In this paper, the design criteria of future container crane for megaships are investigated. The current loading/unloading capacity of a typical container crane, roughly 30 moves/hr, is too law to meet the requirements of future super containerships, which are expected over 15,000 TEU. After examining the transition of containerships through the years and studying the research trend in developed countries, the specifications of the container crane that can Meet a 15,000 TEU containership are proposed. The structure, trolley and hoist mechanism, outreach, backreach, capacity, speeds, durability, and stability of the future container crane are described.

  • Since 1960s. container shipping volume has increased dramatically and continuous on a trend of rapid growth, and so the number of containers handled at the port increases. In order to improve yard crane operating efficiency, the precise position measurement of the yard crane is important. This paper describes the method to measure the absolute position of yard crane using the output pulse of an encoder and infrared sensors. The crane position is calculated by counting the output pulse of an incremental encoder, which is mounted on the wheel in the crane. By the way, the wheel slippage on rail may cause some errors in crane position information obtained from encoder pulses, and the errors in the crane position information are compensated with infrared sensors. The performance of proposed method is verified on experimental results with the simulator of yard crane, the size of which is about 1/10 with the real crane.

  • 1960년도부터 컨테이너를 사용한 해상 물동량이 급격히 증가되어 부두에서 처리하여야할 컨테이너 양이 많이 증가되었다. 부두의 운용효율을 증가시키기 위하여 야드 크레인의 정확히 위치 검출이 상당히 중요한 과제이다. 본 논문에서는 엔코더 출력펄스와 적외선센서를 사용하여 정확하고 신속하게 크레인의 절대위치를 측정하는 기법을 제시하였다. 갠추리 바퀴에 직결된 엔코더 펄스를 카운팅하여 갠추리의 이동거리를 측정한 후, 바퀴의 슬립 통에 인하여 발생하는 측정오차를 보상하기 위하여 적외선센서를 사용하였다. 실제 크레인의 1/10 축소한 시뮬레이터로 실험을 수행하여 본 논문에서 제시한 기법의 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • 천정크레인 설비의 자동화에 사용될 수 있는 반진동 제어알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안하는 제어알고리즘은 1) 복잡한 비선형계통 제어에 유용한 것으로 알려진 보상 FLC를 갖는 FCL, 2) 화물의 진동을 적게 하도록 가속도, 속도, 위치 기준 궤적을 발생하는 기준패턴발생기, 3) 속도, 위치 오차를 궤환하는 가속도 궤환제어기로 구성된다. 특히, 제안한 알고리즘은 화물의 진동각 정보를 제어에 활용하지 않으므로 고가의 진동각 센서가 필요 없다는 특징을 갖는다. 시뮬레이션에 의한 연구와 모형 크레인에 대한 실험 연구에 의해 제안하는 알고리즘의 유용성을 보인다.

Cold Drawn Bar 포장 자동화 기계설비에 관한 구조해석 (Structural Analysis of Cold Draw Bar Packaging Automation System)

  • In this study, we analyzed a cold draw (CD) bar packaging automation facility to examine its structural safety. The structural analysis focused on the frame part of the automatic packing machine for the CD round rod widely used in the industrial field, as well as the package supply device, banding suit, and crane part. As a result, we concluded that the structural safety for the banding suit, crane, and package supply device have been secured (safety factors of 9.8, 7.5, and 14.5, respectively). In addition, the safety factor of the transfer was 4.0.

  • In this study, small size stacker Crane for automatic ware house and interface circuit is designed and manufactured. IBM-PC is used as a controller. At 50kg$_{f}$ load, optimal motion velocity is 20 mm/min for X and Y axis and 12 mm/min for Z axis. Position fesolution is 0.005 mm and repeatability is .+-. 0.025 mm. Through characteristic experiment, effectiveness of the designed and manufactured stacker crane. PC control program, and design of interface circuit and construction of control system are shown. From these results, the developed stacker crane can be apply to FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and FA(Factory Automation) of industrial field.d.

  • Automatic Transfer Crane is needed for automation of container terminal. It requires the control capability of exact position for loading/unloading job in yard. But it has the limitation of improvement because it has the operational environmental and its structural problems. It has the positioning errors caused by the deformation of rail, yawing motion of crane, wear of wheel, sliding motion between wheel and rail and so on. This study shows the calibration method of crane position by using the primitivity sensor and calibrating plate fixed on the ground.
