South Korea is currently facing many changes and challenges. To make matters worse, society has struggled to function as it did before COVID-19. This study describes the past and current COVID-19 situation to offer lessons on management during and after COVID-19. We provide implications from COVID-19 and the foundation for future disasters by employing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and indigenous administrative conceptual framework on culture, institution, and instrument to add a circumstance perspective. This study used secondary data from prior research and literature. Resolutions for these policy issues are presented using the strength-opportunity (SO), strength-threat (ST), weakness-opportunity (WO), and weakness-threat (WT) strategies. We suggest utilizing instruments that consider diverse societies and preventing the disease with climate change by collaborating with social institutions. We hope these implications and resolutions will provide insights for the future and other countries.

COVID-19 is a viral pandemic disease that spreads widely all around the world. The only way to identify COVID-19 patients at an early stage is to stop the spread of the virus. Different approaches are used to diagnose, such as RT-PCR, Chest X-rays, and CT images. However, these are time-consuming and require a specialized lab. Therefore, there is a need to develop a time-efficient diagnosis method to detect COVID-19 patients. The proposed machine learning (ML) approach predicts the presence of coronavirus based on clinical symptoms. The clinical dataset is collected from the Israeli Ministry of Health. We used different ML classifiers (i.e., XGB, DT, RF, and NB) to diagnose COVID-19. Later, classifiers are optimized with the Bayesian hyperparameter optimization approach to improve the performance. The optimized RF outperformed the others and achieved an accuracy of 97.62% on the testing data that help the early diagnosis of COVID-19 patients.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 has severely impacted global health and economy. There is currently no effective approved treatment for COVID-19; although vaccines have been granted emergency use authorization in several countries, they are currently only administered to high-risk individuals, thereby leaving a gap in virus control measures. The scientific and clinical communities and drug manufacturers have collaborated to speed up the discovery of potential therapies for COVID-19 by taking advantage of currently approved drugs as well as investigatory agents in clinical trials. In this review, we stratified some of these candidates based on their potential targets in the progression of COVID-19 and discuss some of the results of ongoing clinical evaluations.
Purpose: This study aimed to measure COVID-19 stress and the quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) stress quotient and identify the coping styles of face-to-face service industry employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This cross-sectional study administered structured questionnaires consisting of sections on general characteristics, COVID-19 stress, and coping style for stress to 21 face-to-face service industry employees between April 1 and April 18, 2021. The physical tension & stress quotient and psychological distraction & stress quotient were measured in the prefrontal lobe with QEEG. Results: Emotional easiness (r=.62, p=.002) and escape-avoidance (r=.55, p=.009) as a passive coping style were associated with COVID-19 stress, and seeking social support as an active coping style was associated with the left physical tension & stress quotient (r=.47, p=.031). Conclusion: These findings provide evidence regarding the objective status of the mental health of face-to-face service industry employees using both a self-reported scale and neuroscientific indicators, including brain quotients.

Methods The patient was diagnosed as Soyang type and had treatment with Sasang Constitutional Medicine three times everyday from June 13th to July 16th. Clinical improvement was evaluated with the degree of dizziness, migraine, palpitation and nausea caused by COVID-19. Results The symptoms of dizziness, migraine, palpitation, nausea caused by COVID-19 were improved after treated with Hyeongbangjihwang-tanggamibang. Conclusions After the treatment with Hyeongbangjihwang-tanggamibang, the symptoms of dizziness, migraine, palpitation, nausea caused by COVID-19 were disappeared. This suggests that Hyeongbangjihwang-tanggamibang is effective in recovering post COVID-19 syndrome for patient who diagnosed as 'Soyang type lesser yang wind damage patterns' based on Sasang Constitutional Medicine.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate COVID-19 vaccination intentions in Korean parents for their children aged 5 to 11 years and the factors influencing them. Methods: A cross-sectional online survey of 363 parents of children aged 5 to 11 years was conducted in Korea in April 2022. Data were analyzed using independent t-test, χ2 -test, Fisher's exact test, and hierarchical logistic regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 26.0 and MedCalc software version 20.113. Results: Of 363 Korean parents with children aged 5 to 11, 42.4% intended to vaccinate their children. Significant factors influencing vaccination intention were the second or third birth order of children (OR = 3.45, 95% CI = 1.45~8.21), vaccine hesitancy-confidence (OR = 2.00, 95% CI = 1.51~2.65), vaccine hesitancy-collective responsibility (OR = 1.57, 95% CI: 1.10~2.25), and COVID-19 anxiety-avoidance (OR = 1.55, 95% CI = 1.13~2.11). Conclusion: Findings suggest that COVID-19 vaccine campaigns based on reliable information and evidence from health authorities are needed to increase COVID-19 vaccination. Well-designed health communications for the target population may help to increase parental vaccine acceptance.
Purpose: This study aims to identify the knowledge, risk perception, fear, self-efficacy, and preventive behaviors among nursing students, and factors influencing preventive behaviors on COVID-19. Methods: Data was collected from March, 2022 to May, 2022. The participants included 218 nursing students in their 3rd and 4th grade of three universities in two cities. Results: The knowledge of COVID-19 was 13.54 out of 15 points, risk perception was 4.83 out of 8 points, fear was 13.26 out of 35 points, self-efficacy was 19.96 out of 25 points, and preventive behaviors were 7.56 out of 9 points. The explanatory power of self efficacy (β= .21, p= .002), which affects preventive behaviors was 67.0%. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a systematic nursing intervention that improves self-efficacy to improve preventive behaviors against COVID-19 among students. This study's result can be used in the future to develop appropriate health policies and program to prevent emerging infectious diseases.

Purpose: This study discusses how Indonesia's response to the Corona Virus Disease-19 pandemic based on the perspective of housing policy capacity which consists of resources, organizations, and networks, politics, systems, and finance. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a qualitative method through a literature review. Data collection techniques were carried out by searching various sources and literature related to housing capacity theory and various data on Indonesia's response to the Covid 19 pandemic. Based on a literature review, this study adapted and modified the five components of capacity, namely resource capacity, organizational and network capacity, political capacity, system capacity and financial capacity in Indonesia in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data analysis used analytical themes which consist of understanding the data, generating initial codes, looking for themes, reviewing themes, defining and naming themes, producing of manuscripts. Results: The results show that the weakness of the system capacity greatly affects Indonesia's housing policy capacity in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic and on the other hand the five housing capacities are an integrated process within the housing policy framework in Indonesia, especially to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. Conclusions: The findings of this study are the importance of building a system capacity that is directly integrated with housing policy and the strengthening of the resources capacity, organizations, and networks, politics, and finance in the context of Indonesia's housing policy, especially in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop and test a model for posttraumatic growth among cured patients with COVID-19. This model was based on Calhoun and Tedeschi's Posttraumatic Growth model and a literature review. Methods: The participants comprised 223 patients cured from COVID-19 who were ≥ 19 years of age. The data were collected through an online questionnaire from March 21 to 24, 2022. The assessment tools included the Impact of Event Scale: Revised Korean version, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, the Distress Disclosure Index, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Korean version of the Event-related Rumination Inventory, and the Korean version of the Post-traumatic Growth Inventory. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 24.0 and IBM AMOS 26.0. Results: The modified model showed appropriate goodness of fit (χ2 = 369.90, χ2 /degree of freedom = 2.09, SRMR = .09, RMESA = .07, CFI = .94, TLI = .93). The post-traumatic growth of cured patients with COVID-19 was explained through distress perception, self-disclosure, and deliberate rumination, with the explanatory power being 70.0%. Conclusion: This study suggests preparing a disaster psychology program involving experts who can activate deliberate rumination is necessary. Further, this study may serve as basic data for developing a program to enhance the post-traumatic growth of patients cured from COVID-19.

The number of pediatric coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases worldwide are increasing compared to the early phase of the pandemic, along with highly transmissible severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus variant and the increase in adult COVID-19 vaccination. We conducted a rapid systematic review and meta-analysis of published randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of the COVID-19 vaccines and the observational retrospective studies on adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination in adolescents. Seventeen studies were finally included in this systematic review. Meta-analysis showed that although vaccination in adolescents was significantly effective to prevent COVID-19 infection in retrospective studies (risk ratio [RR], 0.29; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.22-0.37; I2 =100%), however the effect of preventing COVID-19 infection was lower than in RCTs (RR, 0.05; 95% CI, 0.01-0.27). In five retrospective studies, the pooled estimated proportion of participants with myocarditis and/or pericarditis was 2.33 per 100,000 of the population (95% CI, 0.97-5.61 per 100,000). Sub-group analysis with sex and vaccine doses showed that male (5.35 per 100,000) and the second dose (9.71 per 100,000) had significantly higher incidence of myocarditis and/or pericarditis than female (1.09 per 100,000) and the first dose (1.61 per 100,000), respectively. Our study showed that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in adolescent recipients were favorable and effective against COVID-19 in RCT as well as observational studies. The safety findings of BNT162b2 vaccine in adolescents were explored and we found the difference of safety according to sex and vaccine doses. The occurrence of adverse events after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination should be monitored.
