  • In this study, the anthracite coal being used as fuel in Korea were classified into different types. These types include the domestically produced anthracite, imported anthracite used as raw material, and imported anthracite used as fuel. Each of the calorific values and greenhouse gas emission factors were calculated. The calculation of greenhouse gas emission factors resulted in the domestically produced anthracite as $111,477{\pm}4,508kg\;CO_2/TJ$, the imported anthracite used as raw material as $108,358{\pm}4,033kg\;CO_2/TJ$, and anthracite used as fuel was displayed as $103,927{\pm}8,367kg\;CO_2/TJ$. Additionally, the amount of greenhouse gas emission based on these calculated emission factors was displayed as $6,216,942ton\;CO_2$, which resulted as 12.7% lower than the green house gas emission amount which was calculated without distinguishing anthracite coal in details. Therefore, collecting activity data through a detailed classification of anthracites facilitate a more accurate calculation of greenhouse gas emission amount compared to collecting activity data through combination. Furthermore, since the anthracite coal used domestically possesses characteristics differing from the anthracite coal proposed by the IPCC, anthracite coal should be classified for each purpose and calculated for the improvement of the national greenhouse gas inventory.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to identify the factors related to the completion status of continuing education and to help develop professional ability by presenting improvement directions. Methods: A questionnaire survey involving 500 dental hygienists working at 155 dental clinics in Gwang-ju was conducted between June 19 and July 29, 2017. Descriptive analysis, chi-square tests, and t-tests were conducted using Statistical Package for Social Sciences Version 21.0 for Windows. Finally, to investigate the factors related to the completion of continuing education, logistic regression analysis was performed. Results: The odds ratio (OR) was higher in the group with more than 16 years of total work carrier (OR=3.40, 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.22-9.45) than that in the group with 1-5 years of work carrier. Groups receiving information from associations (OR=5.35, 95% CI=1.74-16.40), groups that directly search for information (OR=6.53, 95% CI=1.84-23.12), and groups receiving information from colleagues (OR=3.55, 95% CI=1.17-10.77) had higher ORs than groups receiving no information. The OR was higher in the group receiving cost support for participation (OR=2.20, 95% CI=1.06-4.55) than the group receiving no support. Regarding total education completion status in 2012-2014, groups that completed grades 1-7 (OR=2.51, 95% CI=1.35-4.64) and those that completed grade 8 or higher (OR=14.37, 95% CI=7.68-26.89) had higher ORs than groups who received no education. Conclusions: The rate of completion of continuing education can be increased by reviewing the course contents, publicity activities, and cost of continuing education.

  • The aim of this research is to find out how convergent operation of the learning coaching and compensation system affects the academic self-efficiency and learning performance of university students. In the second semester, a compensation system was prepared based on learning coaching and learning outcomes, made a notice in advance, and conducted a survey before and after operation to measure the academic self-efficacy. In addition, the MLST-II Learning Strategy Diagnosis Examination was conducted on G university students to diagnose the learning tendency. As a result, although G University students felt a reluctance by coaching the learning community and expected negative results during the course of participation in the learning community due to low motivation and low expectation of results, they showed a significant improvement in academic self-efficiency and learning outcomes. Therefore, even students with negative learning tendency will need to consider how to operate these programs in the educational field, as the expert's learning coaching and compensation systems produce positive results for students' academic self-efficiency and learning outcomes rather than leaving them to autonomy.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of teacher librarians' efficacy and to propose some ways to enhance their efficacy. To do this, questionnaires on 30 teacher librarians who participated in the level 1 certification program of K university in 2018 were conducted. The results showed that their average efficacy was 3.38, the efficacy of teaching method was 3.60, the collective efficacy was 3.38, and the personal efficacy was 3.18. They had high personal efficacy on classroom management, the willingness to lead poor students and the possibility of problem student guidance, and collective efficacy on conflict management with fellow teachers and parents. On the other hand, personal efficacy in problem analysis and guidance for problem students, difficult contents and course instruction were low. Also, the collective efficacy of the conflict between the manager and the education office was low. They have a strong willingness to improve teaching methods for students and showed high efficacy about student synchronization and preparation for teaching. However, they were aware of the lack of learning skills and the lack of various teaching methods. The variables influencing their efficacy were graduation, education level, school size, and degree. Especially, the higher the education level, the more confident and enthusiastic about teaching problemmatic students and disadvantaged students. In addition, teacher librarians with high academic standards showed high confidence in conflict resolution with peers and parents and teaching methods. The improvement direction to enhance their efficacy in this study are increasing the ratio of teacher education in the field of education, reforming teacher librarians training before appointment, establishing supervision organizations for school libraries and improving their professionalism by going to graduate school.

  • This study deals with the rent-seeking behavior that exist in cultural voucher from the viewpoint of culture and arts management. Art organizations open to consumers, producers and governments of the arts are dependent on the internal and external influence of an open system. Researcher has found rent-seeking in the course of introducing policies and legalization of the cultural voucher business which has been promoted in the direction of democratization of culture or cultural democracy. Cultural voucher business is a legal term. Although the government has increased the budget or tried to change the policies of the cultural voucher business, the implementation of the cultural voucher business has been opposed to the diversity of consumption and equity as the consumption of genre and the concentration of the capital region have increased. These results were structurally related to the process of legalization and rent-seeking behavior in bureaucracy. This study reaffirms that the efficient operation standard of the cultural voucher business is a balance between the choice of the beneficiary, the competition of the supplier, and access to the cultural voucher. And the theory of rent-seeking was applied as a criterion to analyze this balance. Thus, it is suggested that the criteria of evaluation and improvement to check the conservativeness of bureaucrats are needed to establish a legal system applied to the purpose of 'cultural democracy' and 'democratization of culture' ideology and to guarantee individual creativity and autonomy.

  • This paper illustrates the process of Japanese invasion of Joseon. In the December of 1905, specifically, Japan established the Residency-General in order to reform systems of government and to control records. Japan founded the Residency-General to reinforce the internal affairs of Joseon. Then, they reorganized systems of government using Joseon's bureaucracy system. The reorganization facilitated control of current and non-current records. After all, this helped Japan to know the actual circumstances of Joseon and the invasion of Joseon. To be specific, Japan organized the records at the Kyujanggak, an imperial library of the Joseon Dynasty, for understanding historical records and dominated Joseon government's current records for comprehending vulnerability of Joseon. On the other hand, Japan invaded Joseon by justifying their actions as 'administration improvement' and 'reformation'. Here are the actual examples. First, the Residency-General dominated the Kyujanggak and reorganized historical records which were stored there. It lasted for two years and let Japan comprehend the course of Joseon history. Second, the Residency-General collected and arranged current records of Joseon. It was buckled down in the August of 1910, when the Great Han Empire collapsed. After the fall of the Great Han Empire, the Residency-General transferred government records from the Japanese Government-General of Korea in order to understand the state of Joseon. Last, the Residency-General arranged records on both governmental and the Imperial property, then most of them reverted to national property.

  • This is an action research study of mixed methodology design to confirm the implementation process and effects of applying visual thinking and window paning on improving nursing ethics and professional courses. Based on the conceptual model for action research, a quantitative and qualitative approach was taken. The data was collected and analyzed in an integrated manner. The survey analysis was done using the SPSS WIN 23.0 program. The participants were interviewed after experiencing the techniques in class and content analysis was used on the answers. As a result of applying visual thinking and window paning, ethical decision-making confidence (t=6.748, p<.001) and nursing professional intuition (t=-3.52, p<.001) showed statistically significant changes. There was, however, no significant change in biomedical ethics consciousness (t=1.291, p=.199). Qualitative analysis found that they had fresh experience, an unfamiliar but comfortable feeling, feeling of being mine, insufficient time, systematic case study approach based on theory, were able to cultivate cooperation and coordination ability through discussion and experience in various professional fields, pride, ethical responsibility consciousness and were able to apply learning content in the field. Visual thinking and window paning foster diverse competencies in nursing education and help integrative learning. Therefore, based on the results it is proposed that visual thinking and window paning are applied to the improvement of instruction in other courses to develop core nursing competency.

  • Purpose: Patients with hematologic malignancy (HM) typically have a high mortality rate when their condition deteriorates. The chronic progressive course of the disease makes it difficult to assess the effect of intervention on acute events. We investigated the effectiveness of a rapid response team (RRT) on in-hospital mortality in patients with HM. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of patients with HM who admitted to the medical intensive care unit between 2006 and 2015. Clinical outcomes before and after RRT implementation were evaluated. Results: A total of 228 patients in the pre-RRT period and 781 patients in the post-RRT period were included. The overall in-hospital mortality was 55.4%. Patients in the post-RRT period had improved survival; however, they required more vasopressor therapy, continuous renal replacement therapy, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Multivariate analysis revealed that in-hospital mortality was associated with RRT activation (hazard ratio [HR], 0.634; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.498-0.807; p < .001), neurological disease (HR, 2.007; 95% CI, 1.439-2.800; p < .001), sequential organ failure assessment score (HR, 1.085; 95% CI, 1.057-1.112; p < .001), need for continuous renal replacement therapy (HR, 1.608; 95% CI, 1.206-1.895; p< .001), mechanical ventilation (HR, 1.512; 95% CI, 1.206-1.895; p< .001), vasopressor (HR, 1.598; 95% CI, 1.105-2.311; p = .013), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (HR, 1.728; 95% CI, 1.105-2.311; p = .030). Conclusion: RRT activation may be associated with improved survival in patients with HM.

  • Yuri Vasilyev - actor, director and drama teacher. Russian meritorious artist, winner of the stage "Medal of Friendship" awarded by Russian President Vladimir Putin; academician of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts in Russia, professor of the Russian National Academy of Performing Arts, and professor of the Bavarian Academy of Drama in Munich, Germany. The physiological sense stimulation method based on the improvement of voice, language and motor function of drama actors. On the basis of a systematic understanding of performing arts, Yuri Vasiliev created a unique training method of speech expression and skills. From the complicated art training, we find out the most critical skills for focused training, which we call basic skills training. Throughout the whole training process, Professor Yuri made a clear request for the actor's lines: "action! This is the basis of actors' creation. So action is the key! Action and voice are closely linked. Actor's voice is human voice, human life, human feeling, human experience and disaster. It is also the foundation of creation that actors acquire their own voice. What we are engaged in is pronunciation, breathing, tone and intonation, speed and rhythm, expressiveness, sincerity, stage voice and movement, gesture, all of which are used to train the voice of actors according to the standard of drama. In short, Professor Yuri's training course is not only the training of stage performance and skills, but also contains a rich view of drama and performance. I think, in addition to learning from the means and methods of training, it is more important for us to understand the starting point and training objectives of Professor Yuri's use of these exercises.
