경북인의 생활과 의식조사 표본설계 (A sample design for life and attitude survey of Gyeongbuk people)

  • 2007년 경북인의 생활과 의식조사를 위한 표본설계를 연구하였다. 기존 조사에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 새로운 표본설계를 위한 여러 가지 사항을 검토하였다. 최근 시행된 2005년 인구주택총조사의 10% 표본조사자료를 조사모집단으로 사용하였고, 2006년 조사결과를 바탕으로 3가지 주요 항목 (경제활동상태, 연간소득수준, 주택소유)을 이용하여 표본조사구수에 대한 추정의 정도를 제시하고, 여러가지 층별 표본 배분을 검토한 후 비례배분을 사용하여 층별로 표본을 배분하고 적절한 표본의 크기를 결정하였다. 새로운 표본설계에서는 가중치를 계산하였고 이를 이용한 추정량과 추정오차 공식을 유도하여 기존의 단순집계를 벗어나 시군별 그리고 특성별 추정과 추정의 정도에 대한 평가를 가능하게 하였다.

현대 여성패션에 나타난 턱시도 룩(Tuxedo Look)의 미적특성 (The Esthetic Characteristics of Tuxedo-Look in the Modern Women Fashion)

  • This study is on the esthetic characteristics of Tuxedo-Look in the modern women fashion from 1990s to the present. It could contribute to understand the aspects and the sense of beauty of the modern fashion. This study is performed by reviewing the precedent studies, related literature and deploying fashion portfolios, domestic and international fashion magazines for the exploratory study. The results of the study are the following. First, Tuxedo-Look expresses the androgenous image which weakens the superficial message of masculinity or femininity and produces the unified image of men and women. Tuxedo-Look, a symbolic male dress item, is brought in the women clothes and it is recreated by design modification, new wearing style, and producing effects. Second, Tuxedo-Look emphasizes femininity by using a exposure and body line stressed design and matching the women dress items with various materials and colors or tuxedo. Third, Tuxedo-Look suggests a dismantling point of view such as exaggeration, distortion, secession, and breaking from the convention. Tuxedo-Look expresses uncertain value by breaking up the symbolic valueby coordinating with casual items and denies formal construct of tuxedo such as perfect balance, symmetrical silhouette, formality, totality.

수학 교수-학습에서 기호와 주의의 역할 (The Function of Signs and Attention in Teaching-Learning of Mathematics)

  • 지난 수십 년 동안, 구성주의의 자장 속에서 많은 수학교육이론은 학습 주체가 자신의 능동적인 구성 작용을 통해 스스로 수학적 의미를 구성하고 정교화 한다고 주장하였다. 하지만 최근 이루어지는 기호학적 접근은 수학적 인지의 수동적이고 집단적인 측면을 강조하며 위와 같은 구성주의의 기조를 문제시하고 있다. 본고에서는 Deleuze의 기호에 대한 논의 그리고 주의에 대한 선행연구의 통찰을 이용하여, 수학 교수-학습 과정을 설명하는 새로운 틀을 제시하고자 한다. 분석 결과, 수학적 의미는 기호에 의해 강제적이고 수동적으로 학습 주체 앞에 모호하게 펼쳐진다는 점 그리고 교사와 학생은 그 모호한 의미를 공동으로 전환하며 명료하게 만들어나간다는 점이 밝혀졌다. 이러한 관점은 과제와 교사의 역할을 재고하도록 하는 출발점이 된다.

Effects of Light on Spinach Glycolate Oxidase Gene Expression

  • Glycolate oxidase is one of the key enzymes in the pathway of photorespiration. In this study we investigated the effects of light on the expression of the spinach glycolate oxidase gene. Continuous exposure to white light resulted in a gradual increase in the steady-state level of glycolate oxidase mRNA within a time period of 2~24 h in both etiolated and dark-adapted green seedlings. A short white light pulse also increased the level of glycolate oxidase mRNA in etiolated seedlings. The mRNA level reached a maximum at 6~8 h after the pulse and decreased by 24 h after the pulse. The induction patterns of the glycolate oxidase gene by white light appeared similar to those of the rbcS gene, indicating that a common or coordinating regulatory system may be involved in the expression of the glycolate oxidase and rbcS genes. A red light pulse induced an increase in the amount of glycolate oxidase mRNA and this effect was reversed by a subsequent far-red light pulse, suggesting that the expression of the glycolate oxidase gene is regulated by phytochrome.

멀티 셀 유연생산환경을 위한 통합운용시스템 (An Integrated Shop Operation System for Multi-Cell Flexible Manufacturing Systems under Job Shop Environments)

  • Recent trends in the flexible manufacturing systems are morphing cell control for the shop-wide production operation system and providing the integrated operation and execution system together with vendor-specific FMC/FMS platform. In these requirements, the shop-floor level operation system plays a role of coordinating the control activity of each cell, and has to provide flexibility for the complexity of mixed operations of various cells. This paper suggests a system architecture for the mixed environments of multi-cells and job shop, its corresponding enabling technologies based on comparative studies with other related studies and commercialized systems. This approach includes a process definition model considering the integration with upper BOM-BOP and external service modules, and reconfigurable device-level interface which provides dynamic interconnections with machine tools and cell controllers. The function modules and their implementation results are also described to provide the feasibility of the proposed approaches as the flexible shop-floor operation system for the multi-cell environments.

국내의류업체의 글로벌 소신 현황과 경쟁력 강화방안 (Exploratory Analysis on the Global Sourcing and Implications for Competitiveness of the Korean Apparel Firms)

  • Korean apparel industry is facing critical moment due to shortage of labor, wage increases and intensive competition among domestic manufactures. In addition, international production has been shifting to China and the other low-wage countries from established locations such as Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Global sourcing has been received considerable attention since firms can enhance their competitive advantage as well as comparative advantage by coordinating their sourcing activities global]y. This studs regarded global sourcing as one of the strategic tools to achieve competitive advantage of Korean apparel firms, and explored the current status by literature reviews and series of in-depth interviews with managers of korean apparel firms. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) Due to geographical advantage, China was the most favored nation for outsourcing for domestic markers. However, exporting firms preferred Latin America (including Mexico) to take advantage of duties, quotas and geographical proximity to the US market. 2) In selecting the global sourcing country, productivity, technical ability, local government regulation, and culture were considered important. 3) Most Korean apparel firms sources production globally, and followed by raw materials and trims. 4) Cost and quality were the most important factors in deciding subcontractors, and experience, productivity, equipment and finances were the next concerns. Academic implications and future directions were suggested based on findings.

  • This paper considers a firm that operates make-to-stock and make-to-order facilities in successive stages. The make-to-stock facility produces components which are consumed by the external market demand as well as the internal make-to-order operation. The make-to-order facility processes customer orders with the option of acceptance or rejection. In this paper, we address the problem of coordinating how to allocate the capacity of the make-to-stock facility to internal and external demands and how to control incoming customer orders at the make-to-order facility so as to maximize the firm's profit subject to the system costs. To deal with this issue, we formulate the problem as a Markov decision process and characterize the structure of the optimal inventory allocation and customer order control. In a numerical experiment, we compare the performance of the optimal policy to the heuristic with static inventory allocation and admission control under different operating conditions of the system.

Aspergillus spp.에서의 Velvet 조절자 (Velvet Regulators in Aspergillus spp.)

  • 사상성 진균인 Aspergillus spp.은 환경 속에서 흔히 찾을 수 있는 진균으로 인류에 유익한 역할을 주기도 하지만 병원성을 일으키기도 한다. 대부분의 Aspergillus spp.는 무성 포자를 생성하여 번식을 하며 다양한 이차 대사 산물을 합성한다. 여러 연구에 따르면 Velvet 조절자들은 진균 특이적 전사 인자로 모델 진균인 Aspergillus nidulans의 성장, 분화 및 이차 대사산물 생성 등 다양한 부분에서 중요한 역할을 한다고 보고되었다. 또한 Velvet 단백질들은 다양한 복합체를 형성하며, 이 복합체들은 Aspergillus nidulans에서 다양한 역할을 한다. 다른 Aspergillus spp.에서 Velvet 단백질들은 매우 유사한 구조를 가지며 진균의 무성 생식과 이차 대사를 조절한다. 이번 논문에는 Aspergillus spp.의 Velvet 단백질들의 기능에 대하여 요약하였다.

Reverse Logistics Network Design with Incentive-Dependent Return

  • Reverse logistics network design issues have been popularly discussed in recent years. However, few papers in the past literature have been dedicated to incentive effect on return quantity of used products. The purpose of this study is to formulate a dynamic nonlinear programming model of reverse logistics network design with the aim of managing the used products allocation by coordinating the collection centers and recovery facilities to warrant economic efficiency. In the optimization model, a fuzzy approach is applied to interpret the relationship between the rate of return and the suggested incentives. Due to funding constraints in setting up the collection centers, this work considers these centers as multi-capacity levels, which can be opened or closed at different periods. In view of the fact that the problem is known as NP-hard, we propose a heuristic method based on tabu search procedure to solve the presented model. Finally, several dominance properties of optimal solutions are demonstrated in comparison with the results of a state-of-the-art commercial solver.

Design and Dynamic Performance Analysis of a Stand-alone Microgrid - A Case Study of Gasa Island, South Korea

  • This paper presents the design and dynamic analysis of a stand-alone microgrid with high penetration of renewable energy. The optimal sizing of various components in the microgrid is obtained considering two objectives: minimization of levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and maximization of renewable energy penetration. Integrating high renewable energy in stand-alone microgrid requires special considerations to assure stable dynamic performance, we therefore develop voltage and frequency control method by coordinating Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and diesel generators. This approach was applied to the design and development of Gasa Island microgrid in South Korea. The microgrid consists of photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, lithium-ion batteries and diesel generators. The dynamic performance of the microgrid during different load and weather variations is verified by simulation studies. Results from the real microgrid were then presented and discussed. Our approach to the design and control of microgrid will offer some lessons in future microgrid design.
