대기와 물의 순환 개념변화에 대한 협동학습의 효과 (Effect of Cooperative Learning on Conceptual Change of Atmospheric and Water Cycle)

  • 연구의 목적은 협동학습이 중학생의 개념변화에 미치는 효과 그리고 협동학습 상황에서 일어나는 학생-학생간의 언어 상호작용의 유형 및 언어 상호작용과 개념변화와의 상호관련성을 분석하는 것이다. 중학교 2학년 2개 반을 각각 협동학습 집단(실험집단, n=37)과 전통적 학습 집단(통제집단, n=37)로 선정하였다. 협동학습 집단은 STAD 협동학습 모델을 사용하였으며 협동적 기능을 익혔다. 연구결과는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다: 첫째, 개념변화에 있어 협동학습 집단과 전통적 학습 집단간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 그러나 사전검사에서 중위 수준의 개념 이해를 보인 학생들의 경우 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 협동학습의 언어 상호작용 유형을 보면 주로 상위와 중위 수준 학생 사이에 활발한 토론이 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 성공적인 개념 변화를 보인 학생들의 경우 그렇지 않은 학생들보다 더 빈번한 언어 상호작용이 이루어졌음을 보여준다. 이 연구는 학생들의 오개념의 교정에 있어서는 교사-학생간의 상호작용이 필요함을 시사한다.

협진병원 근무 의사들과 종합병원 근무 의사들의 양.한방 협진에 대한 인식도 (Consciousness on Co-operative Practices between Doctors Who Working in Cooperative Practicing Hospitals and General Hospital)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to compare consciousness of doctors on cooperative practices of western medicine and traditional Korean medicine, and to provide policy implication for development of cooperative practices. Methods : The structured questionnaires were mailed to 132 doctors working in non-cooperative practicing university hospital and 77 doctors working in cooperative practicing hospitals in Busan metropolitan city. The response rate was 40.2% and 40.3% respectively. This survey was performed from 10 Oct. 2008 to 31 Oct. 2008. Results : The doctors working in general hospital had comparatively negative consciousness on basic concept, value and necessity for cooperative practices and traditional Korean medicine. In regards with disease treatment's effectiveness of cooperative practices, both groups evaluated musculoskeletal and immune disease were more effective than others. There were positive relationships between perception for cost-effectiveness and consciousness on intention to participate cooperative practices(p<0.05). Also doctors who experienced traditional medicine treatment had positive consciousness on cooperative practices(p=0.05). Conclusions : To activate cooperative practices of western medicine and traditional Korean medicine, some efforts should be carried out. These include promoting cooperative education programs in medical schools and traditional Korean medical schools, doing research on cost-effectiveness of cooperative practices, and trying to minimize legal and systemic restrictions for cooperative practices.

학습자의 성취 수준에 따른 협동학습과 개별학습의 효과 (The Effects of Cooperative and Individualistic Learning Strategies by the Level of Achievement)

  • 본 연구에서는 학업 성취도, 과학 수업에 대한 태도, 과학에 대한 태도에 미치는 협동학습과 개별학습의 효과를 학습자의 성취 수준에 따라 비교하였다. 협동학습과 개별학습에서는 학습의 책임을 학습자에게 보다 많이 부여하고, 고급 사고 수준의 활동이 포함된 과제를 학습자 중심으로 해결하도록 하였다. 협동학습 집단은 소집단 토론을 통하여 이러한 과제를 해결하였고, 개별학습 집단은 동일한 활동지를 개별적으로 해결하였다. 전통적인 수업은 교사 설명 위주로 진행하였다. 연구 대상은 남녀 공학 중학교 1학년 학생이었으며, '혼합물의 분리' 단원에 대하여 총 10차시 동안 수업을 실시하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 협동학습 집단의 학업 성취도 검사 점수가 개별학습 집단이나 전통적 수업 집단에 비하여 유의미하게 높았다. 또한, 과학 수업에 대한 태도 및 과학에 대한 태도도 협동학습 집단이 보다 긍정적이었다. 모든 변인에서 수업 처치와 학습자 성취 수준 사이의 상호작용 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 즉, 협동학습은 학습자의 성취 수준과 무관하게 효과적이었다.

  • In this work, we present a case study of using the assessments for the enhancement of students' learning motivation in engineering education. The assessments, given in between summative assessments such as midterms and finals, may have a component of formative evaluation, which are reported as very effective tools as the sources of feedback to improve teaching and learning. We studied how the students' performance is improved by additional tests in engineering education. Also, we examined the factors of successful results of the cooperative learning model, Student Teams-Achievement Division, which is based on imposing a number of tests, achieved in our previous work.

  • We report about the international cooperative activities for the engineering education between a German University and a Japanese University. After the experiences for 15 years of cooperation, both in research and student exchange, we learned a lot about the differences between these two educational systems. This report summarizes the differences and the future perspective for the improvement of engineering education based on the understanding of the differences, including advantages and disadvantages, between two educational systems.

초등학교 과학 협동 학습에서 소집단 구성을 달리한 효과 (The Effects of Different Grouping in Elementary Science Cooperative Learning)

  • The purpose of this study was to examined the effects of different grouping according to the levels of students' achievement in science cooperative learning on students' science academic achievements, science-related attitudes, perceptions of science learning environment and self-efficacies. The results of this study can be summarized as following. First, the homogeneous grouping was more effective than the heterogeneous grouping in improving the science academic achievements of high academic ability students. Second, the homogeneous grouping was more effective than the heterogeneous grouping in improving the science-related attitude of students, especially for low academic ability students. Third, both the homogeneous grouping and the heterogeneous grouping improved the perceptions of science learning environment of students. For low academic ability students, the homogeneous grouping was more effective. Fourth, the homogeneous grouping was more effective than the heterogeneous grouping in improving self-efficacies of students, especially for middle and low academic ability students.

A Relay Selection and Power Allocation Scheme for Cooperative Wireless Sensor Networks

  • This paper investigates optimal relay selection and power allocation under an aggregate power constraint for cooperative wireless sensor networks assisted by amplify-and-forward relay nodes. By considering both transmission power and circuit power consumptions, the received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the destination node is calculated, based on which, a relay selection and power allocation scheme is developed. The core idea is to adaptively adjust the selected relays and their transmission power to maximize the received SNR according to the channel state information. The proposed scheme is derived by recasting the optimization problem into a three-layered problem-determining the number of relays to be activated, selecting the active relays, and performing power allocation among the selected relays. Monte Carlo simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme provides a higher received SNR and a lower bit error rate as compared to the average power allocation scheme.

초등학교 과학 협동학습에서 영재 학생과 일반 학생의 언어적 상호작용 비교 (The Comparison of the Gifted Students and General Students' Verbal Interactions in Cooperative Science Learning)

  • In this study, the scientifically gifted students and the general students were compared in terms of the following components in cooperative teaming: whom they interacted with, to/from whom they gave/received help and why, and what kinds of the verbal interaction patterns they engaged in. The subjects were 4th graders. The data were collected through the investigation of the students' perception and videotaping of the small group interactions of each group. The results showed that the gifted students interacted with most students in their groups. They complemented each others' opinions and their discussion was enriched through their interactions. On the other hand, the interactions of the general students occurred mostly around a leader, and more teamed students explained the content to the less teamed students. Predominantly, the gifted students' most verbal behaviors were related with the teaming contents. Most frequent verbal behavior were a giving specific information and an explanation of their opinions. The general students, however, gave simple and short information, and more often they showed the management behaviors, such as encouraging participation and suggesting their directions.

  • In this paper the existence of global solutions of the parabolic cross-diffusion systems with cooperative reactions is obtained under certain conditions. The uniform boundedness of $W_{1,2}$ norms of the local maximal solution is obtained by using interpolation inequalities and comparison results on differential inequalities.

LT 협동학습에 따른 초등 정보영재의 사회성 변화 분석 (Analysis of Changes in Sociality of Gifted Elementary Students Depending on LT Cooperative Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 과학영재교육원 초등 정보반 학생들을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단을 구성하여 스크래치 프로그래밍 수업을 진행한 후 사회성의 변화를 분석하였다. 실험집단은 교육용 프로그래밍 언어인 스크래치의 리믹스 기능을 사용하여 LT 모형의 협동학습을 수행하였으며, 통제집단은 일반적인 강의식 수업을 진행하였다. 실험집단은 모둠 단위의 결과물을 생성하기 위해 리믹스 기능으로 동료 학습자들과 협력하여 프로젝트를 제작하였다. 리믹스 기반의 협동학습에 따른 변화를 검증하기 위해 실험집단 30명, 통제집단 30명을 대상으로 각각 12차시 총 36시수의 학습을 진행하였다. 설문결과를 사용한 t-test 분석에 따르면, 스크래치의 리믹스 기능을 활용하여 협동학습을 수행한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 사회성이 향상되었으며, 통계적으로도 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
