  • The aim of this study was investigating the consumers' and apparel firm worker's awareness and reliability of the environmental friendly textile materials. The subjects of the questionnaire survey were general consumers(n=235) and workers at Korean apparel firms(n=236). The questionnaire was developed to measure the awareness and reliability on nine environmental friendly textile materials. The results showed that general consumers had a higher reliability on the function of the environmental friendly materials but had a lower awareness than the workers at the apparel firms. Women and subjects, who experienced in purchasing the environmental friendly products, had higher awareness and reliability of the environmental friendly textile materials than others. The workers at apparel firms had higher awareness of the environmental friendly textile materials than the general consumers, but the reliability on the function of the materials was relatively low. The reliability and awareness differed by the firms' major products and their jobs. The workers at the children's clothing firms and sportswear firms had higher level of awareness about the environmental friendly textile than the workers at the casual-wear firms. The workers' awareness on environmental friendly textile materials was differentiated by their jobs. The product developers and material buyers had higher awareness on the environmental friendly textiles compare to the workers of the sales or marketing division. • This study utilizes social big data to investigate the factors influencing the awareness, attitude, and behavior toward vegan fashion consumption among global and Korean consumers. Social media posts containing the keyword "vegan fashion" were gathered, and meaningful discourse patterns were identified using semantic network analysis and sentiment analysis. The study revealed that diverse factors guide the purchase of vegan fashion products within global consumer groups, while among Korean consumers, the predominant discourse involved the concepts of veganism and ethics, indicating a heightened awareness of vegan fashion. The research then delved into the factors underpinning awareness (comprehension of animal exploitation, environmental concerns, and alternative materials), attitudes (both positive and negative), and behaviors (exploration, rejection, advocacy, purchase decisions, recommendations, utilization, and disposal). Global consumers placed great significance on product-related information, whereas Korean consumers prioritized ethical integrity and reasonable pricing. In addition, environmental issues stemming from synthetic fibers emerged as a significant factor influencing the awareness, attitude, and behavior regarding vegan fashion consumption. Further, this study confirmed the potential presence of cultural disparities influencing overall awareness, attitude, and behavior concerning the acceptance of vegan fashion, and offers insights into vegan fashion marketing strategies tailored to specific cultures, aiming to provide vegan fashion companies and brands with a deeper understanding of their consumer base.

  • Product replacement (PPL) is used widely in marketing and plays crucial roles but the effects of the PPL attributes on a restaurant brand are not well known. Therefore, this study examined the effects of PPL attributes on brand awareness and brand credibility. In addition, the relationship among brand awareness, brand credibility, and brand loyalty was investigated. The study found that the characteristics of PPL, such as information and entertainment, affected brand awareness. On the other hand, inconvenience did not have any impact on brand awareness. In addition, information, entertainment, and inconvenience affected brand credibility. Furthermore, brand awareness and credibility influenced brand loyalty significantly. These results suggest that PPL can be a very effective way to advertise. Hence, PPL should be done with a sense of information and entertainment than simply with more frequent exposure to consumers, which that might cause inconvenience.
