  • In a world where opportunities and chances are common, the phenomenon referred to as "generation maybe" describes people in their 20s and early 30s who are usually being indecisive. With the increase in breadth of information and choices, the number of people who are hesitant in deciding whether to purchase increases at a fast pace, as does the number of products and services targeting this group. In order to enhance our understanding of the phenomenon of consumer hesitation, this study explores contextual factors and consumer characteristics that affect consumer hesitation in the purchase decision-making process. Specifically, this study examines whether seven contextual factors, self-determination tendencies, and five decision-making styles influence consumer hesitation in the product decision making process. An online survey was administered to test our research questions. A total of 309 Korean consumers (female=48.9%) aged from 20 to 35 were surveyed. A regression analysis revealed that four contextual factors (product involvement, need for information on alternatives, relative price, and uncertain need), two sub-dimensions of self-determination (perceived competence and relatedness), and two decision-making styles (price seeking and advice seeking) have noticeable influences on consumer hesitation. We also found that the degree of consumer hesitation positively influences consumer post-purchase satisfaction. The study concludes with discussions and practical implications.

  • The legal relationship between patient and physician is legally equal relationship. But, in times past, patients be compelled to sign an unequal contract, substantially. Because of the imbalance between supply and demand in the health care market. Today, the law of supply and demand in the health care market is running well. And as the cognition of citizens' rights grows, the relationship between patient and physician can also get a lot of changes. Patients have the right to know the information about medical care, and to decide whether or not to get treatment including invasions against their own bodies. In other words, Doctors have an obligation to explain to their patients. If doctors did not provide patients sufficient explanation or information, it violates the right of patients. This is a tort, or a breach of contract. To improve the remedy for violation of patient's right, patient is able to be protected by status as consumer. If patient is a kind of consumer in terms of medical consumption, he/she as consumer can enjoy supplementally the consumer's right. The patient as a consumer can exercise now a consumer's right as a constitutional right. In addition, with respect to consumer's rights, Framework Act on Consumers was enacted. • The present study explored consumer's perception and preference on providing information of fashion products by using QR code and suggested the possibility for consumer-to-consumer and consumer-to-company connection. A survey was conducted on males and females in their 20s-a population among whom the rate of smart phone penetration is higher than in any other age group and who tend to exchange information online. The results showed that consumers are dissatisfied with the amount of information, terms of instructions, and ambiguous washing symbols currently provided. Therefore, the study identified the need for better methods of providing information and found that QR code, which is able to deliver high-quality information on fashion products, can be an efficient alternative. Moreover, respondents felt the need for detailed washing instructions, information on handling, and functionality of material on high-involvement fashion products such as outdoor, padding, suit, and underwear worn next to the skin. They also desire styling tips or purchasing information such as SNS OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) utilizing the product, other products that may go well with the one purchased, and similar products on casual wear and coat used on a daily basis. Therefore, QR code used as a link to information web pages or a social network can help consumers to satisfy information needs and to use the products effectively.

For seller, in the mean while, it has merits in the way of diminishing physical distribution cost, promotion cost, and reaching globally in the same time. In spite of so many merits of internet based channel, there were many types complain in past. Most of all, consumers expect that it will provide low-price merit to consumer, because it doesn't need shop, warehouse, stock, etc. Based on the empirical analyses in past, it didn't work, especially to price oriented consumer's perception. But in this research, it shows changing consumer's perception. Comparing past data with current data, we found outstanding gross in price related variables figure. But, in goods delivery related factors and personal credit information related factor, consumer recognized much more negatively yet. So, we conclude that even though some factors show improved perception, there are tasks to solve. We will observe the tuning point at that time.

  • To analyze the consumer's purchase pattern, we must consider a factor which is a cultural, social, individual, psychological and so on. If we consider the internal state by the consumer's purchase, Both the consumer's purchase action and the purchase factor can be predicted, so the corporation can use effectively in suitable goods development in a consumer's preference. These factors need a technology that treat uncertain information, because it is difficult to analyze by directly information processing. Therefore, bayesian network manages elements those the observation of inner state such as consumer's purchase is difficult. In addition, it is interpretable about data that the observation is impossible. In this paper, we examine the seller's know-how and the way of consumer's purchase to analyze consumer's purchase action pattern through goods purchase. Also, we compose the bayesian network based on the examined data, and propose the method that predicts purchase patterns. Finally, we remove the data including unnecessary attribute using the bayesian network, and analyze the consumer's Purchase pattern using Kohonen's SOM method.
