A meta-study of Informal Science Learning and Generic Learning Outcomes: Focusing on published papers in the last 10 years (비형식과학교육과 포괄적학습성과의 메타연구: 최근 10년간의 발표논문을 중심으로)

  • Despite the importance of science education in an informal environment, the reality is that there is a lack of trend analysis research on 'Informal Science Learning (ISL)' and its effects. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the educational effects of ISL and how to use it, and to provide guidelines for future ISL research directions. This study classifies specific ISL-related papers published from 2010 to 2019 and compares them with each element of GLO used to measure the effectiveness of informal education. The fit of the analyzed data was checked for each part through SPSS and Chi-Square. In conclusion, it was found that researchers are using 'ISL' to pursue 'Knowledge and Understanding' and 'Attitudes and Values' among the five performance indicators of 'GLO'. On the other hand, 'Skills' and 'Enjoyment, Inspiration and Creativity' appear to have the least expectations, so supplementation is required in these areas in the future. In addition, this study intends to suggest a direction for informal science education-related program development and future research to various education workers.

A study on the effect of accounting information on dividend policy by measuring corporate conservatism (From the perspective of the internal accounting management system) (기업보수주의 측정으로 회계정보가 배당정책에 미치는 연구 (내부회계 관리제도 관점에서))

  • This study investigated the effect of accounting information on dividend policy as a measure of corporate conservatism from the perspective of the internal accounting management system. The verification is based on a sample of 543 companies listed on securities (excluding KOSDAQ and financial industry) among the Bank of Korea (2019) 「2018 Corporate Management Analysis」 and company analysis of the Korea Productivity Center (financial data disclosed as listed companies as a December settlement company) was composed. Using SPSS 22, empirical analysis was conducted using exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis. The first is the verification related to corporate conservatism and the role of dividend policy, and it is verification of whether internal accounting management influences financial decision-making. Second, if internal accounting management exists, it is a verification of how conservatism and investment policies (in-house reserve, debt borrowing, capital increase, dividends, etc.) affect the corporate value according to accounting information. As a result, from the perspective of the internal accounting management system, it was found that among the variables of accounting information, profitability can have a positive effect on corporate conservatism and dividend policy as a corporate valuation method of reinvestment. In addition, it has been proven that corporate conservatism has an effect on profitability-to-value through capital accumulation and reinvestment such as surplus and internal reserves. In the future, we will study and discuss the complementarity of corporate conservatism and dividend policy in relation to governance structure and improvement of the internal accounting management system.

Analysis of Emotional Intelligence Affected by Medical Institution Members on Job Satisfaction and Self-Efficacy (의료기관 구성원이 직무만족도와 자기효능감에 느끼는 감성지능의 영향 분석)

  • In this study, we would like to confirm the impact of emotional intelligence perceived by members of medical institutions on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of self-efficacy. To test the hypothesis of the study, a survey was conducted on members of medical institutions (excluding doctors) in Gyeonggi Province, and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0. First of all, the research results showed a positive impact only on use of emotion among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence in the impact relationship between emotional intelligence perceived by members on self-efficacy. Second, in the impact relationship of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction, which is a sub-factor of emotional intelligence, self-emotion appraisal, others' emotion appraisal, regulation of emotion, and use of emotion all showed positive effects. Third, the effect of members' self-efficacy on job satisfaction was also positive, and fourth, the mediating effect of self-efficacy between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction was also confirmed. Therefore, programs to improve members' emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are introduced and institutional needs are required.

The Moderating Effects on Strength and Opportunity Factors Between Entrepreneurship of Franchisor's CEO and Performance in Hood Service Franchise (외식 프랜차이즈 가맹본부 CEO의 기업가정신과 성과 간에 강점과 기회요인의 매개효과 분석)

  • This paper aims to investigate the moderating effects of strength and opportunity factors between entrepreneurship of food service franchisor's CEO and performance in hood service franchise. For analyzing the relationship of them, the entrepreneurship factors categorized with organizational risk taking, innovativeness, and proactiveness from previous researches(Khandwalla, 1977; Miller, 1983; Miller, 1983). Also, strength and opportunity factors classified into detailed subfactor by confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, we found some statistically significant effects between the strength and opportunity factors and entrepreneurship factors, and they sequentially affects to performance. This result means that strength and opportunity factors have a role as a moderating variables. That is, as a presented with previous research, there is verified that entrepreneurship is caused by organizational risk taking, innovativeness, and proactiveness. Also, strength and opportunity factors significantly affect to business performance. Some guidelines for practicing potential food service franchise as a result of this would include; first of all, it is important to support the potential food service franchise consulting approach for some competitive advantage; secondly, effective governmental support programs for food service franchise should be developed for positive impacts of according to these results.

  • In case of current South Korea, the rapid graying is in the progress. Because of it, the increase of elders who live alone causes variety of social, economic and national problems. Especially in the modern city, the health care, safety and maintenance of pleasant and joyful life of elders who live alone are being a big social issue. Even though practical services have been tried at the whole of government approach, the detailed alternatives are insufficient to improve the daily life support and service to approach the information. This research suggests the "ELA Service Model" which actively improves the easy access to information and corresponds to condition and circumstance of elders for providing the ICT-base Elderly Living alone care service. It is a step self-life support service based on fundamental desire of elders which resolves the problem and contributes to establish the active and balanced policy to the elderly.

The Impact of Reflective Thinking Methods on Improvement of Pre-service Geography Teacher's Teaching Knowledge (반성방법의 차이가 예비 지리교사의 수업전문지식에 미치는 영향)

  • This research aims to figure out the impact of different reflective thinking methods on pre-service geography teachers' teaching knowledge. Four pre-service teachers in the same level were selected through the first simulated instruction, Then, different reflective methods were given them to carry out the reflection. Afterwards, they carried out their second simulated instruction. The change of average score of pre-service teachers was analyzed through the peer reviews and Paired samples T-test. The results are as follows. First, when the first peer review score were compared with second peer review, average score of all pre-service teachers improved. But, pre-service teachers who got cooperative reflection with a specialist had the widest variation in the increase level of average score comparing to those without reflection or reflective journal writing. Second, reflective journal writing through self-reflection led to their reflective thinking, but it did not induce them to reflective practice. Finally, pre-service teacher who got cooperative reflection with experienced teachers got the significant improvement in PCK through the T-test. In particular, it had significant statistical value in instruction section and understanding of students section. It demonstrates that the contextual section could be improved by self-reflection or repetitive class practices, while instruction section and understanding of students section needed consulting by assistants.

  • The proliferation of mobile and tablet PC has been collapsing down geographic boundaries. Accordingly, the global cultural and artistic activities and public cultural content exchange have been enlarged. With the spread of Web 2.0, users can easily access a variety of cultural contents. However, each local government develops applicable technical and cultural content service on their own without consulting any best practices or standards. In addition, unlike traditional contents services mobile content services should take into account the characteristics of the environment. It is also necessary to provide personalized contents in a timely manner. In order to accelerate the future mobile environment, this study presents a mobile web service practice that was developed based on the current state for mobile services and a cultural contents derived from standards and effective deployment of the service plan focusing on the case of "The Encyclopedia of Korean Local Culture".

  • Laws concerning the protection of personal information have been enacted and revised as the legislation on personal information protection on the basis of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Maintained by Public Institutions. Nevertheless, there have been continuing threats resulting from the fact that restrictions on security subject to laws remain unclear. By proposing protected access utilizing a unique identification key of enterprises, regarding the personal information of various internal and external clients held by international manufacturing companies and attempting to make policy aspect and management access at the same time, there is a change of gradual decline in cloud personnel information management service, which is the domestic ISP service for personnel management as the technology facilitated to reduce the burden on personnel and cost for the protection of personal information and the market is also changing to the direction for companies to directly operate. Therefore, this study intends to examine the convenience of integrated management for ensuring security, while confirming the gap on flexibility and safety on management point regarding the human resources of international manufacturing companies arising from its interactions.

Comparing the Outplacement Programs for the Retiring Employees in Corporations (기업 퇴직근로자 전직지원프로그램 비교분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to compare the outplacement programs for the retiring employees in Korea corporations. We expect that this study will make contributions for increasing the quality of outplacement programs. We conducted the expert interviews and literature review and set a comparing criteria in terms of goal, target audience, program process and contents, operation process. We selected 6 different programs, which were KT, Samsung Electrounic, A consultancy firm specialized in outplacement, Korea labor foundation, and Korea international trade association. In results, we suggested the necessity of programs revision, the decrease of service recipient per a consultant, recommendation of alternative career path, and update of the programs for the service recipients who lacks of motivation. We also suggested that human resource department and chief executive officers made attentions for the outplacement programs as well as the government input more budget on the programs and consulting for the retirng employees.

A Study on the Actual Condition of Community-Oriented Services, Focusing on Senior Well-Being Villages (지역사회서비스 네트워크 모형 개발을 위한 실태조사 - 농촌건강장수마을을 대상으로 -)

  • This study conducted research on the actual state of community-oriented services for elderly rural inhabitants and their desire related to them to develop a local community service network model suitable to the characteristics of rural longevity villages. The research was conducted on 906 elderly people over 65 living in 20 rural longevity villages through questionnaires assessing filming and economy, economic activity, health care, learning and leisure activities as well as asking their wants and needs relative to local community services. As a result, it was found rural elderly people showed a high desire for local community services such as health, transportation and economy activity. In addition, they were mainly cultivating farm products as their economic activity and showed a high demand in the future as well. Most were found to take a walk in the healthcare field and showed a high demand for health examinations, health education, health consulting, hot spring bathing and basking in the woods. Respecting learning, social and leisure activities, they were mostly found to watch TV and do house chores, and showed a high desire for village environment repair, traditional farm music, visiting and tourism. With the above results, it is expected that the desire of rural elderly for such services can be satisfied, and the development of a local community service network model suitable to the characteristic of a local community is recommended.
