Survey of Carbon- and Proton-Fluorine Coupling Constants in Fluoro-quinolone Carboxylic Acid Derivatives (Fluoro-quinolone Carboxylic Acid 유도체로부터 탄소-불소 및 수소-불소간 Coupling Consstants의 조사)

  • For fluoro-quinolone carboxylic acid derivatives, one bond carbon-fluorine coupling constants are ranged from 249 Hz to 257 Hz regardless of positions. But geminal and vicinal carbon-fluorine coupling constants vary according to positions, namely, geminal coupling constants are ranged from 6 Hz to 23 Hz, and vicinal coupling constants are ranged from 1.9 Hz to 7 Hz. In cases of proton-fluorine couplings, three bond coupling constants are ranged from 9 Hz to 10.3 Hz, and four bond coupling constants ate ranged from 6 Hz to 8.3 Hz.

Modeling of an elastomer constitutive relation

  • This study is concerned with modeling an elastomer constitutive relation by utilizing the truncated Volterra series. Actual experimental data from the Instron Tester are obtained for combined input, i.e. constant strain rate followed by a constant strain input. These data are then estimated for step inputs and utilized for the truncated Volterra series models. One second order and one third order truncated Volterra series models have been employed to estimated the force-displacement relation which is one of the prominent properities to characterize the viscoelastic material. The third order Volterra series model has better results, compared with those of the second order Volterra series model.

  • We study half lightlike submanifolds M of semi-Riemannian manifolds $\widetilde{M}$ of quasi-constant curvatures. The main result is a characterization theorem for screen homothetic Einstein half lightlike submanifolds of a Lorentzian manifold of quasi-constant curvature subject to the conditions; (1) the curvature vector field of $\widetilde{M}$ is tangent to M, and (2) the co-screen distribution is a conformal Killing one.

  • One dimensional performance model has been used for the design of torque converter. The model is based on the concept of constant mean flow path and constant flow angle. These constant-assumed para meters make the design procedure to be simple. In practice, some parameters are usually replaced with geometric raw data and, the constant experiential correction factors have been used to minimize the design error. These factors have no definite physical meaning and so they cannot be applied confidently to the other design condition. In this study, the detail dynamic model of torque converter is presented to establish the theoretical background of correction factors. To verify the validity of theoretical model, steady state performance test was carried out on the several input speed. The oil temperature effect on the performance is analysed and adjusted. The constant equivalent flow angles are determined at a part of performance region by comparing the theoretical model and the test data. The sensitivity of correction factors to the input speeds are studied and the change of torus flow is presented.

  • We extend Jung's result about the relations among bi-closing, open and constant-to-one codes between general shift spaces to closing codes. We also show that any closing factor code ${\varphi}:X{\rightarrow}Y$ has a degree d, and it is proved that d is the minimal number of preimages of points in Y. Some other properties of closing codes are provided. Then, we show that any closing factor code is hyperbolic. This enables us to determine some shift spaces which preserved by closing codes.

  • Analytical approach is applied to predict temperature of satellite box under worst hot condition from fairing jettison to separation. The box is tried to solve analytically which is exposed to known environmental heating condition and has internal heating and irradiation to space. For a single thermal mass, governing equation for temperature is simplified to 1st order ordinary differential equation(ODE) by several assumptions. Two cases are considered. The one is for constant mass box and the other is for mass-varying box. Each case has three different analytical solution by sign of constant term in ODE. One analytical solution for constant mass is applied to physical launch stage condition. It is concluded that the present analytical method can be used to quick predict the temperature of a satellite box and check whether a satellite is safe against space environment during launch stage.

  • Most of the accelerated life tests deal with tests that use only one accelerating variable and no other explanatory variables. Frequently, however, there is a test to use more than one accelerating or other experimental variables, such as, for examples, a test of capacitors at higher than usual conditions of temperature and voltage, a test of circuit boards at higher than usual conditions of temperature, humidity and voltage. A accelerated life test is extended to M-level stress accelerated life test with k-stress variables. The optimal design for Weibull distribution is studied with k-stress variables.

  • The paper deals with the solution of some fractional partial differential equations obtained by substituting modified Riemann-Liouville derivatives for the customary derivatives. This derivative is introduced to avoid using the so-called Caputo fractional derivative which, at the extreme, says that, if you want to get the first derivative of a function you must before have at hand its second derivative. Firstly, one gives a brief background on the fractional Taylor series of nondifferentiable functions and its consequence on the derivative chain rule. Then one considers linear fractional partial differential equations with constant coefficients, and one shows how, in some instances, one can obtain their solutions on bypassing the use of Fourier transform and/or Laplace transform. Later one develops a Lagrange method via characteristics for some linear fractional differential equations with nonconstant coefficients, and involving fractional derivatives of only one order. The key is the fractional Taylor series of non differentiable function $f(x+h)=E_{\alpha}(h^{\alpha}{D_x^{\alpha})f(x)$.

The Accuracy of the Non-continuous I Test for One-Dimensional Arrays with References Created by Induction Variables

  • One-dimensional arrays with subscripts formed by induction variables in real programs appear quite frequently. For most famous data dependence testing methods, checking if integer-valued solutions exist for one-dimensional arrays with references created by induction variable is very difficult. The I test, which is a refined combination of the GCD and Banerjee tests, is an efficient and precise data dependence testing technique to compute if integer-valued solutions exist for one-dimensional arrays with constant bounds and single increments. In this paper, the non-continuous I test, which is an extension of the I test, is proposed to figure out whether there are integer-valued solutions for one-dimensional arrays with constant bounds and non-sing ularincrements or not. Experiments with the benchmarks that have been cited from Livermore and Vector Loop, reveal that there are definitive results for 67 pairs of one-dimensional arrays that were tested.

  • The third important Euler-Mascheroni constant $\gamma$, like $\pi$ and e, is involved in representations, evaluations, and purely relationships among other mathematical constants and functions, in various ways. The main object of this note is to summarize some known series representaions for $\gamma$ with comments for their proofs, and to point out that one of those series representaions for $\gamma$ seems to be incorrectly recorded. A brief historical comment for $\gamma$ is also provided.
