  • The present paper investigates the technological and conceptional characteristics of peering and transit in internet interconnection. Especially, the market with two ISP competing for customers is modeled and the outcome with peering is compared with transit. This paper also analyze the congestion effects on retail price and network capacity. When there is congestion effects occurring from network sharing, the retail price is increased and the fixed fee is decreased with the degree of congestion. Finally, the optimal access charge assuring the socially optimal retail price and network capacity is derived.

  • The congestion cost caused by transmission capacities is an important issue in a competitive electricity market. To allocate the congestion cost equitably, the active constraints in a constrained dispatch and the sequence of these constraints should be considered. A multi-stage method which was proposed by H.S. Jung reflects the effects of both the active constraints and the sequence. In a multi-stage method, the types of congestion are analyzed in order to consider the sequence, and the relationship between congestion and the active constraints is derived in a mathematical way. But in some cases, the inactive constraints can affect the congestion sequence and it is reasonable to allocate the congestion cost to them.

  • Due to the development of information technology, the operating power systems under the deregulated environment has the advantages of a introduction of the market function, a competition in sales and purchases of Power, as well as the difficulty of maintaining reliability on the same or high level with it in a monopolistic market. This paper presents a basic scheme of the congestion management in the Korea electricity market under the deregulated environment. We investigated some cases of the congestion management in the world and the effects of the congestion management in the power systems. A basic idea of the congestion management in the Korea is presented based on the analysis of transmission congestion management in the competitive electricity market.

  • This paper empirically evaluates the effects of regional and industrial R&D on the performances of individual firms in two separated stages: (1) the stage of technological outcome from R&D and (2) the stage of economic outcome from technological outcome. Technological spillovers are separated from negative congestion effects through the stage-specific estimation. The firm-level Korean Innovation Survey data merit in coping with the endogeneity problem inherent in the estimation of spillovers. The estimation results show that: (1) there exist significant R&D spillovers both in regional and industrial dimensions, (2) the hypothesized technological spillovers and economic congestion effects are both in effect, and (3) firms with smaller individual R&D investments show greater spillovers.

  • In the literatual study on the Saenghwatang, the results were as follows. 1. Saenghwatang is composed of Danggui, Chunkoong, Doin, Kunkang and Kamcho. Saenghwatang was used with Ikmohwan and Ikmocho for the purpose of treatment of puerperal congestive pain 2. Activating blood circulation and congestion, warming body & blood circulation, increasing blood flood, controlling pain, removing the coldness & congestion and creating new blood are the effects of Saenghwatang. 3. The indications of Saenghwatang are no excretion of pilleus, puerperal coldness and hotness, congestive pain, dizziness, the coldness of extremities, chiorrhea, bleeding, asthma and etc. 4. Saenghwatang have the effects of puerperal contractility in theuterus, activating lactation, removing inflammation and antiplat-elet aggregation. Therefore it can be applied to puerperal disease, hysteromyoma, endopelvic congestion, postabortal contineous bleeding, endometritis, menorrhalgia, gastralgia of cold congestion, infertility of cold uterus; every congestive symtoms.

  • Attitudes and behavior within the store congestion of the store is a store in any manner affect the formation process of investigating synchronism in the control of the consumer appears to analyze the influence of enemy has its purpose. Store and spatial congestion factor of social behavioral factors also revisit the help of word-of-mouth is. Consumer groups with high and low groups of synchronism suggested. Social attitudes towards the store congestion significantly positive effect that I've shown, it was not significant spatial congestion. During a revisit of action is a statistically significant relationship that I've shown, is a significant effect of word-of-mouth relationship was not significant. Investigating the moderating effects of consumer synchronism result of high consumer groups a significant impact on the social congestion showed, at low spatial influence congestion.

  • The purpose of the thesis is providing a new formulation for the transit assignment problem. The existing models dealing with the transit assignment problem don't consider the congestion effects due to the insufficient capacity of transit vehicles. Besides, these models don't provide solutions satisfying the Wardrop's user equilibrium conditions. The congestion effects are considered to be concentrated at the transit stops. For the transit lines, the waiting times at the transit stops are dependent on the passenger flows. The new model suggests the route section cost function analogous to the link performance function of the auto assignment to reflect the congestion effects in congested transit network. With the asymmetric cost function, the variational inequality programming is used to obtain the solutions satisfying Wardrop's condition. The diagonalization algorithm is introduced to solve this model. Finally, the results are compared with those of EMME/2.

  • In Korea power system, the transfer capability of transmission line is limited by the voltage stability and it is difficult to construct new iron tower due to incremental interest for environmental problem and construction costs. Recently, HTS cable could be one of the countermeasures to solve the transfer limit because of it is transported to large power with compact size However, the characteristic of HTS cable have a various problem. This paper presents the effects of congestion cost reduction by the application of HTS (High-Temperature Superconducting) cable. In this paper, the transmission ability before and after application of HTS cable are examined in a viewpoint for voltage stability. therefore, the effects of congestion cost reduction by HTS cable.
