The purposes of this study were (1) to investigate the relationship of conflict components, and (2) to investigate interaction of conflict participants. Subjects were ninety-four 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds recruited from eleven child care centers in Seoul, Kyonggi and Incheon province. Interaction process between these young children were recorded by a video camera, and the scenes were transcribed for analysis of peer conflict situations which occurred between two children. Statistical methods used for data analysis were frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, Chi-square. First conflict components are interrelated. There was a significant difference conflict resolution strategies according to conflict issue, and a significant difference conflict outcomes according to conflict resolution strategies. Also conflict outcomes were related to conflict emotion expression. Second, the stratigies interaction of conflict participants were significant and conflict emotion expression of conflict participants were significant.
The purpose of the current study was to investigate peer conflict situations and age differences in preschoolers' emotional behavior of happiness, sadness, and anger. Participants were twenty-two 3-year-olds and twenty 5-year-olds, and each pair of the same age interacted in two standardized conflict situations: object possession conflict and behavioural/interpersonal conflict. Participants' emotional behaviors of happiness, sadness, and anger were obsewationally coded through facial expression, verbal intonation, gesture, and physical contact. Preschoolers expressed more sadness and anger emotional behavior in object possession conflict than in behavioural/interpersonal conflict. In behavioural/interpersonal conflict,5-year-olds expressed more happiness emotional behavior than 3-year-olds did.
This study examined the effect of interparental conflict and parent-child conflict on overt aggression in upper elementary school students and investigates if children's father-child conflict or mother-child conflict mediated the effect of interparental conflict on overt aggression. The participants of this study were 532 of fifth to sixth graders from three elementary schools located in Seoul and Gyeong-gi province. Participants were asked to respond to a written questionnaire to measure research variables of the Peer Conflict Scale, the Conflict Tactics Scales, and the Conflict Behavior Questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and hierarchical multiple regression. Mediating effects were examined using analysis procedures of Baron and Kenny. The major findings were as follows: first, the level of interparental conflict and parent-child conflict of both mothers and fathers in upper elementary school students increased the level of overt aggression. Second, parent-child conflict of both mothers and fathers in upper elementary school students partially mediated the relation between interparental conflict and overt aggression. Higher levels of interparental conflict resulted in higher levels of parent-child conflict, and the subsequently higher frequency of overt aggression in upper elementary school students.

Conflict may occur during teamwork activities. Conflict is the incompatibility of interest of participants; hence, it is more common in a wide varied activities involved construction field. Goals and values involve positive or negative features and are therefore common sources of conflict in construction field. Excessive conflict is a major hindrance to the effective operation of a team. If the conflict is not managed timely and properly, it could be transformed into a big dispute, thus to avoid these situation, it is necessary to augment working together culture. This paper aims to identify project team working factors and to uncover underlying relationships between these factors. A questionnaire survey was used to collect data from professionals. Factor analysis was employed to categorize twenty-one teamwork items evaluated by 169 respondents working in three major construction parties namely, owners, consultants and contractors. Factor analysis uncover that these team work factors can be grouped under three categories titled as: integrative working culture, relationship building and trust building. Multiple regression analysis however, showed that relationship building factor does not influence job satisfaction of project participants. Results of this study can be used as a tool to strengthening relationship between project participants in the construction industry.
This study examines unique manifestations of intergenerational conflict related to the acculturation process of immigrant families. No scale that measured the acculturation aspect of intergenerational conflict exsited. Thus, a new scale was developed to investigate this unique aspect among Korean American adolescents. The study design was cross-sectional, and employed a convenience sampling method. The participants were Korean American adolescents of junior and senior high school age, 14 to18 years old. The study was conducted at eleven Korean churches and one hakwon (private out-of-school studies .institute) in Fairfax County, Virginia. Korean American adolescents expressed that the issues related to education, such as academic pressures and high expectations, caused intergenerational conflict most frequently. Unlike findings from previous studies, the participants indicated that language differences between parents and children rarely caused intergenerational conflict. Contrary to previous findings, none of the characteristics variables, such as age, gender, length of residency and language preference, were significantly correlated with this unique conflict. This study provides a rare opportunity to enhance our understanding on how Korean American adolescents interact with their immigrant parents.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing conflict transition through the conflict transition process experienced by college graduates with early careers. The participants of this study were in-depth interviews with a total of 8 young people aged 25-34 who graduated from college and found their common subjects in all cases. As a result, the topics such as 'lack of recognition and compensation', 'unfairness of supervisor', 'characteristics of job (interdependence, autonomy)' were derived. 'Lack of recognition and compensation' brought about a sense of skepticism about the idea that even though they worked hard, they could not be recognized. And it caused a conflict transition. When the participants felt the 'unfairness of the supervisor', the task conflicts were further amplified and it transfer to relationship conflict. Among the characteristics of 'job characteristics', when highly interdependent occupations were carried out, conflict transition was shown and conflict levels were high. On the other hand, the work environment with job autonomy showed job satisfaction and did not show conflict transition. This study has an academic significance in that it revealed the types of conflicts and conflict transfer factors experienced in early career status of college graduates. In addition, this research have the practical implications to improves the participants' understanding of the conflict transfer through actual scene in the workplace.
In the event of a medical conflict in South Korea, civil lawsuits can be very complicated, time-consuming, and costly. Under the Medical Conflict Conciliation Act, the mediation system has expanded its function to coordinate disputes between individuals and medical institutions in a more efficient manner prior to litigation. Currently, conflict mediation organizations and legal systems are established in each sector, and the Healthcare Dispute Settlement Commission will also play an important role in the public sector. In this study, the characteristics of the evaluation system of the Korea Institute of Medical Conflict Arbitration are examined; and, by looking at the case of medical examinations, it is proposed to show the mediation system and the manner and role of the examinations. Medical expertise is a very important area of the qualitative standards and expertise of participants because the participants must play a role in medical consultation and appraisal in connection with medical experts.
