In order to compensate for the defects of concrete made using only Portland cement, three-component powder mixed with blast slag and fly ash, and four-component powder concrete mixed with silica fume are being produced. When each of the admixtures is used alone, the above-described excellent performance is expressed and up to 70% of the powder is used. These technologies are also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases under Act on Low Carbon. Green Growth. However, calcium hydroxide is consumed as a stimulator or reaction in the case of silica fume, which causes latent hydroponicity of slag, pozzolane reaction, and silica mixtures represented by fly ash. It is known that the consumption of calcium hydroxide affects the alkalinity of concrete. As a result, the carbonation resistance is significantly lower among the durability of concrete. Research on quantification of such effects is insufficient. In this study, an experiment was conducted to quantify calcium hydroxide of the three-component and four-component powder paste using thermal analysis equipment (DTG), and the effect of the mixing amount was discussed.

In the concrete structures exposed to environmental conditions at early ages, water movement occurs by moisture diffusion in the concrete, and self-desiccation of concrete is also occurred. Thus the internal relative humidity is changed from moisture diffusion and self-desiccation. Thus the internal relative humidity at each location in concrete includes the decrease by self-desiccation. Especially, for high-strength concrete the much unit cement content is used, so that the non-uniform relative humidity distribution is affected form self-desiccation at early ages. In this study, the internal relative humidity in concrete was measured at early ages, and the moisture diffusion component and self-desiccation component of total relative humidity were discussed.

Waste Concrete Powder will be generated during the manufacture of construction waste as recycled aggregate Waste concrete. The main component of the waste concrete Powder is a silica-based composition 51% SiO2, waste concrete cement-based composition Al2O3 10%, CaO 26% component are contained. The material is silica sand of PHC piles should experiment by replacing the Waste Concrete Powder. The compressive strength results are as follows. 25% when the Silica was replaced 32.5Mpa, when 50% have replaced 43.4Mpa, when 75% have replaced 45.3Mpa was measured. Compared with the non-replaced test sample it appears that the strength increases. Therefore, it is determined that the practical use of the PHC piles by replacing silica via this experiment is possible.

Heat of hydration of concrete under different curing temperatures can be characterized with knowledge of the thermal activity, the heat rate at the reference temperature, and the total heat of hydration of the mixture. The so-called multi-component hydration model incorporates the effect of following variables: cement chemical composition, cement fineness, secondary cementitious powders, mixture proportions, and concrete properties. However, the model does not consider the use of silica fume as a secondary cementitious powder. Therefore, the model that quantifies the heat of hydration due to the use of silica fume is needed. In this thesis, the effects of silica fume on heat of hydration are evaluated and the influence on the heat of hydration are also quantified to be included in the model, so that the analysis using modified multi-component hydration model for silica fume concrete provides more accurate results than normal concrete.

This study evaluates the shear strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams from a database, which consists of extensive experimental results of 222 SFRC beams having no stirrups. In order to predict the analytical shear strength of the SFRC beams more precisely, the selected beams were sorted into six different groups based on their ultimate concrete strength (low strength with $f_c^{\prime}$ <50 MPa and high strength with $f_c^{\prime}$ <50 MPa), span-depth ratio (shallow beam with $a/d{\geq}2.5 $and deep beam with a/d<2.5) and steel fiber shape (plain, crimped and hooked). Principal component and multiple regression analyses were performed to determine the most feasible model in predicting the shear strength of SFRC beams. A variety of statistical analyses were conducted, and compared with those of the existing equations in estimating the shear strength of SFRC beams. The results showed that the recommended empirical equations were best suited to assess the shear strength of SFRC beams more accurately as compared to those obtained by the previously developed models.
In this study engineered steel fibres used as reinforcement for concrete were characterized by number of key mechanical and spatial parameters, which are easy to measure and quantify. Such commonly used parameters as length, diameter, fibre intrinsic efficiency ratio (FIER), hook geometry, tensile strength and ductility were considered. Effective classification of various fibres was demonstrated using simple multivariate computations involving principal component analysis (PCA). Contrary to univariate data mining approach, the proposed analysis can be efficiently adapted for fast, robust and direct classification of engineered steel fibres. The results have revealed that in case of particular spatial/geometrical conditions of steel fibres investigated the FIER parameter can be efficiently replaced by a simple aspect ratio. There is also a need of finding new parameters describing properties of steel fibre more precisely.

This study aims to systematically identify direct and indirect factors that influence labor productivity and to build a model that mathematically quantifies them so as to efficiently manage and increase labor productivity in the construction work. This study was performed based on the productivity model for workers in reinforced concrete construction projects, because it aims to establish a general construction labor productivity model that reflects many factors that influence labor productivity. Using statistical analysis, we found that the components that significantly influence productivity were the worker component, the work characteristic component, the work technique component, the work management component, the equipment & materials component, and the work guide component, while the work delay components did not significantly influence productivity. In addition, a priority analysis was performed based on the components that showed statistically significant effects. The results of the analysis indicated that the influence of work management component and the work technique component is more than that of the worker component and the work characteristic component. The construction labor productivity model that was formulated in this study could be used for the determining the standard productivity during the initial planning stage, so the best strategy for increasing labor productivity could be formulated.

The compressive strength of concrete varies depending on various factors. Among them, based on the curing temperature, the KCS 14 20 10 Standard Specification for General Concrete calculates the nominal strength by applying the temperature correction value (Tn) based on the compressive strength of the standard cured concrete at 20±2℃ when designing the formulation strength. However, Tn is a correction value that considers only the temperature, and the correction of strength difference due to heat of hydration is not applied. Therefore, in this study, one-component and two-component concrete are mixed in the summer, structural concrete are manufactured, standard concrete specimen are manufactured, and coring is performed on the central and boundary parts of the structural concrete to calculate the correction value applied to the nominal strength by comparing the compressive strength of standard cured concrete on the 28th day of curing and the compressive strength of structural concrete on the 91st day of curing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze concrete characteristics by admixing agent and additive contents according to the change of unit-water to identify its effect on compressive strength. First of all, as for flesh concrete, overall unit-water showed a tendency to decrease as component inclusion rate of admixing agent was increased. In addition, air content showed a tendency to increase by increasing WR, WB, NP series admixing agent contents, on the other hand, the change of air content was gentle by around $1.5{\pm}0.5%$ for S, T, M series agents. Bulk density showed an inverse proportion to the change of air content. As for hardened concrete, expression rate of 3-day age compressive strength was generally decreased for S, T, WR, WB, NP, M series admixing agent component. Also, expression rate of 7-day age compressive strength showed an excellent record for S, M series agents, and expression rate of 28-day age compressive strength showed a tendency to increase more than plain on the whole.
