Ka대역 위성통신용 fly-away 터미널 안테나 & RF 시스템 설계 (An Antenna & RF System for Fly-away Satcom Terminal Application on Ka-band)

  • An Antenna & RF system for a fly-away satcom terminal application on ka-band is presented in this paper. The Fly-away satellite terminal can be moved and operated by two person and adapt automatic satellite tracking system in order to decrease the tracking time. Additionally, for low-power consumption, compact size and light-weight, a dual reflector antenna is constructed using dual-offset gregorian antenna structure. For minimize weight, the reflector of the antenna is made of Magnesium. For low-power consumption and light-weight, the pHEMT MMIC compound devices is utilized. The Electronic Band-Gap(EBG) Low-Pass Filter(LPF) is designed for harmonic rejection. In the receiving part, Low-Noise Block converter(LNB) structure is designed for compact and lightweight. In this paper, fly-away satcom terminal with low-power consumption, compact size and light-weight is described with antenna system and RF system performances. Through the experimentation, fly-away terminal's EIRP is more than 50dBW, G/T is more than $17dB/^{\circ}K$.

REIDEMEISTER ZETA FUNCTION FOR GROUP EXTENSIONS

  • In this paper, we study the rationality of the Reidemeister zeta function of an endomorphism of a group extension. As an application, we give sufficient conditions for the rationality of the Reidemeister and the Nielsen zeta functions of selfmaps on an exponential solvmanifold or an infra-nilmanifold or the coset space of a compact connected Lie group by a finite subgroup.

STRUCTURES OF GEOMETRIC QUOTIENT ORBIFOLDS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL G-MANIFOLDS OF GENUS TWO

  • In this article, we will characterize structures of geometric quotient orbifolds of G-manifold of genus two where G is a finite group of orientation preserving diffeomorphisms using the idea of handlebody orbifolds. By using the characterization, we will deduce the candidates of possible non-hyperbolic geometric quotient orbifolds case by case using W. Dunbar's work. In addition, if the G-manifold is compact, closed and the quotient orbifold's geometry is hyperbolic then we can show that the fundamental group of the quotient orbifold cannot be in the class D.

SHADOWABLE POINTS FOR FINITELY GENERATED GROUP ACTIONS

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of shadowable points for finitely generated group actions on compact metric spaace and prove that the set of shadowable points is invariant and Borel set and if chain recurrent set contained shadowable point set then it coincide with nonwandering set. Moreover an action $T{\in}Act(G, X)$ has the shadowing property if and only if every point is shadowable.

  • 본 논문에서는, 병렬 결합의 두 전송선으로 구성된 transversal 여파 특성 구조와 SIR 개념을 함께 이용하여, 급격한 차단 특성, 낮은 삽입 손실, 평탄한 군지연 특성을 가지는 새로운 소형 UWB 대역 통과 여파기가 개발된다. 요구되는 대역 특성을 얻기 위해, 매우 넓은 대역에서의 낮은 삽입 손실을 확보한 채, 다수의 차단용 극점들이 생성된다. 또한 상대적으로 작은 구조로써 높은 차수의 급격한 차단 특성을 구현하고, 동시에 UWB 응용에 적합하도록 완만한 군지연을 구현한 것이 장점이다. 제안한 기술의 타당성이 이론과 실험에 의해 증명된다.

Solar Flare and CME Occurrence Probability Depending on Sunspot Class and Its Area Change

  • We investigate the solar flare and CME occurrence rate and probability depending on sunspot class and its area change. These CMEs are front-side, partial and full halo CMEs associated with X-ray flares. For this we use the Solar Region Summary(SRS) from NOAA, NGDC flare catalog, and SOHO/LASCO CME catalog for 16 years (from January 1996 to December 2011). We classify each sunspot class into two sub-groups: "Large" and "Small". In addition, for each class, we classify it into three sub-groups according to sunspot class area change: "Decrease", "Steady", and "Increase". In terms of sunspot class area, the solar flare and CME occurrence probabilities noticeably increase at compact and large sunspot groups (e.g., 'Fkc'). In terms of sunspot area change, solar flare and CME occurrence probabilities for the "Increase" sub-groups are noticeably higher than those for the other sub-groups. For example, in case of the (M+X)-class flares of 'Dkc' class, the flare occurrence probability of the "Increase" sub-group is three times higher than that of the "Steady" sub-group. In case of the 'Eai' class, the CME occurrence probability of the "Increase" sub-groups is five time higher than that of the "Steady" sub-group. Our results demonstrate statistically that magnetic flux and its emergence enhance solar flare and CME occurrence, especially for compact and large sunspot groups.

Study of the most frequent natural tooth colors in the Spanish population using spectrophotometry

  • PURPOSE. To identify the most frequent natural tooth colors using the Easyshade Compact (Vita -Zahnfabrik) spectrophotometer on a sample of the Spanish population according to the 3D Master System. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The middle third of the facial surface of natural maxillary central incisors was measured with an Easyshade Compact spectrophotometer (Vita Zahnfabrik) in 1361 Caucasian Spanish participants aged between 16 and 89 years. Natural tooth color was recorded using the 3D Master System nomenclature. The program used for the present descriptive statistical analysis of the results was SAS 9.1.3. RESULTS. The results show that the most frequent dental color in the total sample studied is 3M1 (7.05%), followed by the intermediate shade 1M1.5 (6.91%) and 2L1.5 (6.02%). CONCLUSION. According to the research methodology used, and taking into account the limitations of this study, it can be proposed that the most frequent color among the Spanish population is 3M1; the most common lightness group is 2; the most frequent hue group according to the 3D Master System is M and the most frequent chroma group is 1.5.

  • We show that if the stable rank of $B^{\alpha}$ is one, then the stable rank of B is less than or equal to the order of G for any action of a finite group G. Also we give a short proof to the known fact that if the action of a finite group on a $C^*$-algebra B is saturated then the canonical conditional expectation from B to $B^{\alpha}$ is of index-finite type and the crossed product $C^*$-algebra is isomorphic to the algebra of compact operators on the Hilbert $B^{\alpha}$-module B.

The kontsevich conjecture on mapping class groups

  • M. Kontsevich posed a problem on mapping class groups of 3-manifold that is if M is a compact 3-manifold with nonempty boundary, then BDiff (M rel $\partial$ M) has the homotopy type of a finite complex. Here, Diff (M rel $\partial$ M) is the group of diffeomorphisms of M which restrict to the identity on $\partial$ M, and BDiff (M rel $\partial$ M) is its classifying space. In this paper we resolve the problem affirmatively in the case when M is a Haken 3-manifold.
