필기기구의 인간공학적 설계를 위한 필기성능평가 (Experimental Evaluation of Handwriting Performance for the Ergonomic Design of Writing Instruments)

  • This study deals with the performance evaluation of writing for designing handwriting instruments ergonomically. Experimental tests were executed on ballpoint pen., felt-tip pen, pencil, sharp-pencil, and fountain pen for ease of use and reduction of the muscles fatigue. The writing time and the degree of comfort of writing by subjects were measured on the diameters of five writing instruments. The results indicated that the ballpoint pen was rated significantly superior to the others in writing speed attribute and the instrument with the least fatigue was the fountain pen. There was a significant interaction effect between the types of instruments and their size in diameters. The diameter of instruments for considering time and comfort together was verified that the size of 9.5mm was efficient for ballpoint pen, the size of 8.1mm for felt-tip pen, the size of 7.5mm for pencil, the size of 8.2mm for sharp-pencil, and the size of 9.1mm for fountain pen.

혼합현실에서 텍스트 콘텐츠 표시에 대한 휴먼팩터 평가 (Evaluation of Human Factors on Text Content Displayed in Mixed Reality)

  • In this study, the effect of text content on users in mixed reality was investigated and subjective evaluation was performed using a statistical approach. The position and size of the text were defined as independent variables, and eye comfort and visibility were analyzed as dependent variables. Twenty participants viewed the content for 96 seconds and then performed a related survey rating task. As a result of two-way ANOVA, the interaction between text position and size and the main effect on text size were not statistically significant. The main effect on text position was found to be statistically significant, and as a result of the analysis, the bottom middle was preferred for both eye comfort and visibility.

진동사용성을 고려한 철도교량구조물의 강성한계 분석 (Estimation of Stiffness Limit for Railway Bridge Vibration Serviceability)

  • 일반적으로 허용처짐 기준은 정적 사용성과 구조적안전성에 그 기반을 두고 있으며 진동사용성에 대한 고려는 부족하다. 따라서 진동사용성을 고려할 수 있는 교량의 허용처짐 기준이 필요하다고 판단된다. 본 논문에서는, 한국철도교설계기준의 허용처짐기준을 주파수영역의 진동사용성 기준과 비교하였으며, 프랑스 및 일본의 철도교설계기준의 진동사용성 허용기준 또한 분석하였다. 그 결과, 한국철도교설계기준의 경우 열차의 속도에 따른 기준으로 진동지속시간이 부분적으로 고려되었지만 진동사용성은 만족하지 못하고 있는 것으로 판단되었으며, 국외 철도교설계기준비 분석결과, 진동사용성을 고려한 허용처짐기준을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단하였다. 공용중인 철도교량의 진동사용성을 평가하기위하여 다양한 형식의 철도교량의 진동신호를 측정하였다. 그리고, 현장에서 적용하기 편리한 진동사용성 처짐 및 강성한계를 제시하기 위하여 공용중인 교량을 대상으로 차량 교량 상호작용해석을 수행하였다.

  • 철도교량을 주행하는 열차의 진동사용성 확보를 위해 Eurocode, 신간선기준, 호남고속철도 설계지침 등에서는 교량의 처짐과 차체연직가속도로 진동사용성 기준을 제시하고 있다. 호남고속철도 설계지침 경우 Eurocode를 인용하였기 때문에 향후 열차의 주행속도와 경간길이의 향상 및 확장에 맞추어 철도교량의 진동사용성 기준을 보완함에 있어 철도선진국들에 비해 상대적으로 뒤처질 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 고속철도교량 기술의 국외의존도를 줄이고 기술경쟁력을 확보하기 위하여 주행속도의 증가와 열차-교량 진동전달특성 등을 고려할 수 있는 철도교량의 진동사용성 허용처짐을 제시하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 매개변수 연구와 열차-교량 상호작용해석을 수행하여 주행속도의 증가에 따른 차체연직가속도와 교량변위의 상관관계를 파악하였으며 주행속도의 증가와 더불어 차체연직가속도가 증가하는 경향을 확인하고 가속도증폭계수를 제안하였다. 그리고 교량의 처짐형상과 진동을 정현파와 조화운동으로 가정하고 진동전달함수와 가속도증폭계수를 이용하여 고속철도교량의 진동사용성 허용처짐을 수식으로 전개하였다.

  • Noise has become an environmental pollution that affects most peoples' health, comfort or general well being. there are many sources of noise, but one of them clearly dominates road traffic noise. It has traditionally been associated with engine and exhaust noise of vehicles. However the emission and propagation of noise from these sources were partly reduced, while at the same time the noise emission from the tire/road interaction on a relative scale became more and more prominent Generally, Portland cement concrete(PCC) pavements have the advantage of durability and superior surface friction when compared to most dense-graded asphalt. However, It is known that PCC pavements create more noise than asphaltic surfaces due to the noise from interaction of tire and pavement surface. Therefore, recent research has shown some new concrete pavement textures to be worth further examination. So in this paper, we considered the 9 types of low noise concrete pavements to evaluate tire/pavement noise.

스마트폰 레이싱 게임 조작기 UX 평가 (Smartphone racing game controller UX testing)

  • This study aims to evaluate smartphone gaming controllers. Diffusion of smartphone makes its users to play smartphone games in ease and comfort and its built-in sensors deliver new gaming experience to the users. Based on the concept how the controller system is important, the current research also implies the importance of customizing service which gives users a selection to deploy a controller. To explore the interaction effect of controllers and customizing on interactivity, flow, usability, attitude, and intention, the research constructs 3(gyroscope, wheel, and button controllers) by 2(default and customizing setting) experimental design and forty college students played Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne in a within subject design. The results showed that interaction effect and customizing main effect were not found, but controller main effect was statistically significant. Button controller is superior to those other two in more detail. It implies that it is still not useful to play new types of gaming controller, and a customizing service. It suggests that smartphone games should more focus on improving optimal user experience with built-in sensor controllers.

  • The high speed train service will be offered for high-quality transport service in existing railway by Korean National Railroad(KNR). Therefore, this paper presents the results of analysis carried out to determine the dynamic response characteristics of deck plate girder bridges which are representative elevated structures of existing railway and to evaluate their suitabilities for supporting Korea Train Express(KTX) trainsets in the speed range 0-250 km/h. Their dynamic characteristics are analyzed concerning structural safety, train-operation safety and passenger comfort. The simplified method for 2-dimensional train/track/bridge interaction analysis is utilized in the analysis of dynamic behaviors of deck plate girder bridges.

  • Most of design parameters of Railway Structures are determined by the serviceability requirements, rather than the structural safety requirements. The serviceability requirements come from Ensuring of Running Safety and Ride Comfort of Train, Reduction of Track Maintenance Work Track-Bridge Interaction should be considered in the design of railway structures. In this study, a numerical method which precisely evaluate an axial force in rail and a rail expansion and contraction when turnout exist in succession on a CWR on a ballasted or on a ballastless track of bridge is developed. From the parameter studies using the developed method, additional stress of stock rail almost 25% is generated due to stock and lead rail interaction, even embankment not bridge. In case of ballasted track, additional stress of stock rail on bridge is very greater than on embankment, and therefore require detailed review in bridge design with turnout. Stresses of turnout rails on bridge are very sensitive according to the installed positions. In case of ballastless track, Stresses of turnout rails are similar as those of normal track

환자중심 간호업무 향상을 위한 간호업무 측정에 관한 연구 (Classification of Nursing Activities and Workload Analysis in a New Open Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the classification of nursing activity and to analyze the time of nursing workload in a new open hospital. The data were collected from 20 nurses working in 6 general nursing units by 4 trained observers. The tools used for this study were an observation recording sheet and a classification sheet of nursing activity. The classification sheet was constructed to be adaptable to each hospital system based on the instrument described in the literature. The results of the study are as follows : The direct nursing activities consisted of 6 sections, 33 subsections and the indirect nursing activities consisted of 14 sections, 53 subsections. The direct nursing activities included medication, measuring and observation, care of therapies, care of physical comfort, laboratory and treatment. The indirect nursing activities included preparation of medical utensils, collection of information and assessment, recording, phone communication, professional interaction related to patients, personal time, assigning work to staff, patient eaucation and training, interaction with lab, transfer of administration of utensils, checking physician's order, dietary service, management of pollution and contagion, guide direction. Nurses spent 127.6min for direct nursing activity during day duty. It was 24.5% of total nursing activity. Within that activity medication had the highest percentage of time(40.09%), followed by communication and education with patient(24.76%), measuring and observation (16.93%), laboratory and treatment (12.85%), care of therapies(3.21%) and care of physical comfort (2.16%). The time breakdown for indirect nursing activities is as follows ; the preparation of medical utensils 22.3%, collection of information and assessment 20.29%, recording 20.27%, phone communication 8.14%, professional interaction related to patients 7.33%, personal time 7.24%, with the remaining timeshared by staffing, patient education and training, interaction with lab, transfer of administration of utensils, checking physician's order, dietary service, management of pollution and contagion, guide direction. In the analysis of the relationships between the working time and the work allocation characters of the nurses(including nurse's experiences. nurse-patients ratio, nurse-rooms ratio, and character of nursing unit) ; There were no significant differences in direct-indirect nursing times between nurse's career years. There was significant difference in direct nursing time between assigned patient numbers. The nurses assigned larger number of patients spent significantly more time in direct nursing care than that of the smaller. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in indirect nursing workload between the assigned patient numbers. There were no significant differences in direct-indirect nursing time between an allocated patient's room numbers. There was significant difference in working time between working places. The nurse in the medical unit spent more time in direct nursing care than her counterpart in the surgical unit. However there was no difference in direct nursing time between two groups. The study results indicate that nurses spent less time in the direct nursing care than in the previous studies even though the hospital system has been modernized. On the other hand they spent much more time for the coordinating role within the interdisciplinary team and for the overlapping paperwork. Therefore it is recommended that patient oriented job description and more efficient usage of modernized utilities be made.

문양에 따른 소재의 감성이미지와 선호도 - 문양의 종류와 문양 색을 중심으로 - (Effects of Colors and Categories of Motifs on Evaluating Sensory Image of Fashion Fabrics)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of motif categories and motif colors on evaluating sensory image of fashion materials with the gestalt theory as the background. The research was conducted on a quasi experimental basis, with subjects numbering 187 male and 207 female college students. Data were collected in the period from march 19th to march 31st, 2007. A set of fabric stimuli and semantic differential scales were developed. The stimuli were thirteen fabric species(each measuring 12 by 13cm). Variables included; (a) motif colour(white, grey, pink and blue) (b) motif categories(plain, paisley, flower, stripes and zebra effect). The semantic differential scale to measure sensory image of fabric stimuli included 23 sets of bi-polar adjectives. The data were analysed by factor analysis and ANOVA and the major finding were as follows. 1) Four sensory dimensions emerged of importance: salience, attractiveness, comfort and softness. 2) The motif category effected on the four sensory image dimensions while the motif colour effected on salience, comfort and softness sensory dimensions. 3) An interaction effect was founded between motif category and motif colour. 4) Motif category showed significant effects on the preference and liking of the fashion, however the motif colour did not show any significant effects on the preference and liking. As a whole the results supported the gestalt theory and the results can be used for the marketing strategy for developing fashion fabrics.
