한국형 미래전투체계 효과도 분석을 위한 회전익 무장체계 시뮬레이션 (A Simulation on the Weapon System of Rotorcraft for Improving the Effects of Korean Future Combat System(FCS))

  • This research is to develop a simulation framework to gauge the mission effectiveness of the rotorcraft system that will be a part of Korean future combat system. The rotorcraft system comprises of many subsystems that are very time-consuming and tedious to model. Each subsystem and its characteristics have been modeled using component-based modeling techniques, which enhances its reusability. The entire system is then constructed from the individually modeled component, which significantly reduces the modelling time. The mission effectiveness of the rotorcraft system is simulated using the developed models, and the output indicates that the methodology proposed in this study is useful, which will be suitable for the modeling and simulation of Korean future combat system.

네트워크 기반의 전차 교전 훈련 모델 개발 (Development of Network Based Tank Combat Training Model)

  • As a part of development of Korean K2 main battle tank, embedded training computer to be operated in the main equipment, which makes it possible to train without a special-purposed training simulator, was adopted for tank combat training. The category of embedded training of Korean K2 main battle tank includes driving training, gunnery training, single tank combat training, platoon level combat training, and command and platoon leaders combat training. For realization unit level tank embedded training system, the virtual reality was utilized for real time image rendering, and network based real time communication system of K2 tank was utilized for sharing status information between tanks. As a result, it is possible to train themselves on their own tank for enhancing the operational skills and harmonized task with members.

전투준비태세 및 유사장비 운용자료를 활용한 RAM 목표 값 설정방법에 관한 연구 (Establishing Method of RAM Objective Considering Combat Readiness and Field Data of Similarity Equipment)

  • RAM(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) is important performance factor to keep combat readiness and optimize operational and maintenance cost of weapon systems. This paper discusses the method to establish RAM for combat readiness by using field failure data from similarity equipments. Operational availability is estimated from a binomial distribution function of user's operational conditions such as combat readiness preservation probability, operational rate, operational availability and total number of equipment. Reliability and maintainability is estimated from field failure data from similarity equipment to accomplish operational availability. The effectiveness of established RAM is verified through analysis of combat readiness preservation probability and mission reliability. A case study of weapon system illustrates the process of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we proposed the modified method of Metcalfe's law that is "Modfied law" in evaluating the network power for the measurement of combat effectiveness in C4I system. It is applied to JFOS-K (Joint Fire Operating System-Korea) C4I system that can connect KJCCS (Korea Joint Command and Control System) of Korea armed forces with JADOCS (Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System) of U.S. armed forces and achieve sensor to shooter system in real time in JCS (Joint Chiefs of Staff) level. The result of combat effectiveness using Modified law is compared to the one by C2 theory and found that both is similar. This study is meaningful because we improved the description level of reality in calculation of combat effectiveness in C4I system.

  • 우리나라는 21세기 들어 출생자 수가 급격히 감소하고 있다. 이것은 현행 병역제도와 인사제도를 유지한 상태로는 감축한 36.5만 명의 육군도 유지하기 어렵게 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 육군은 국가방위 최후의 보루로서 외부의 침략으로부터 국토를 지켜야 할 사명이 있다. 이러한 사명을 다하기 위해서는 병역제도와 인사제도를 개선하는 방법도 있지만, 개인의 전투력을 극대화시켜 일당백의 용사를 만들고 적보다 우세한 기동력을 통해 부족한 병력 수를 극복하는 방안도 있다. 본 연구는 후자의 개념을 적용하여 개인전투력과 기동력을 극대화 할 수 있는 유·무인 복합전투체계를 통해 병력 부족의 해결은 물론, 전투력을 강화하는 방안을 연구하였으며 더 나아가 미래 전장환경을 분석하고 육군의 유·무인 복합전투체계의 발전적인 방향을 제시하여 작전수행 체계에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것이다.

전투화 표준규격 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Standard Size System of Combat Boots)

  • This paper is concerned with a standard size system and production proportion of combat boots. For the standard size system foot sizes of 327 soldiers were mesured by Martin type anthropometric equipment. 24 foot measurements were obtained on all individuals. The standard size system of which key measurements are foot length and joint girth are proposed on the basis of the statistically treated measurement data. The production (or purchasing) proportion of the proposed size system of combat boots are also proposed.

  • In this paper, we propose a Model Driven Development using UML(Unified Modeling Language) in an efficient Combat System Software development methods. UML is managed by the OMG (Object Management Group) as a Unified Modeling Language. Recently, In developing the software for the system, development time is contrary to a short, while it must meet a number of requirements of our customers. If you develop a non-efficient software early, the structure of the software become more complex in proportion to the number of requirements. As a result, a serious problem in the system, such as an increase in defective products due to the lowering of the reliability and communication problems between the developer has occurred. To overcome those problems, the aim of this paper is to develop a reusable high efficient Combat System Software by applying Model-Centric Development (Not Code-Centric Development). If Combat System Software development method using the UML proposed in this paper is used, easy communication among developers can help reduce the serious errors in systems. Also, it has the advantage that the future needs of software maintenance/repair become easy by using high readability object Model.

의사결정나무를 이용한 근접전투전문가시스템 (Developing an Expert System for Close Combat using Decision Tree)

  • 본 논문에서는 훈련용 워게임모델의 근접전투 피해평가를 위한 새로운 근접전투전문가시스템을 제안하였다. 군에서 사용하고 있는 워게임모델에서 피해평가 모의논리는 아주 중요한 모의가능이다. 현재, 육군의 군사단급 워게임모델인 창조21 모델에서는 근접전투 피해평가의 핵심기능이 창조21 모델에서 계산되지 않고, 공개소스와 내부논리를 알 수 없는 미군에서 제작한 근접전투전문가시스템(일명 COBRA)에서 별도로 계산되고, 이 결과가 네트워크를 통해 창조21 모델로 전송되어 근접전투에 대한 피해평가가 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 COBRA를 대체할 수 있는 근접전투전문가시스템을 의사결정나무를 이용해서 제안하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 실험결과 COBRA와 유사한 성능을 보였고, 시스템의 계산량이 적었고 군사작전 상황에 적합하였다.

21세기 미래전의 정찰.타격.군수 복합체계 (Reconnaissance-Strike-Logistics Complex Systems for Future Warfare in the 21st Century)

  • In this paper, "a conceptual model of Reconnaissance-Strike-Logistics Complex(RSLC) in future warfare" is proposed. Basic idea of the RSLC model is to combine logistics and the pre-existing Reconnaissance-Strike Complex(RSC) through a C4 network system. That is, the RSLC model consists of reconnaissance, strike, logistics, and C4 network systems. The C4 network system creates new combat power by integrating all the other systems. The RSLC model generates three conceptual complex circles; the RSC, the SLC(Strke-Logistics Complex), and the RSLC circles. The RSC circles describes direct combat behaviors in the battlefield. On the other hand, the SLC circle indicates combat sustainment capabilities. The RSLC circle including the RSC and the SLC circles, can present a more complete combat process. There are two key advantages of the RSLC model. First of all, logistics is considered one of key combat components to form IDA(Information-Decision-Action) cycle for combat decision-making process more completely. Secondly, the capabilities of battlefield awareness which reconnaissance and war-net systems provide, can be applied not only to the strike system in the RSC circle, but also to the logistics system in the SLC circle. Thus, the RSLC model can maximize combat synergy effects by integrating the RSC and the SLC. With a similar logic, this paper develops "A Revised System of Systems with Logistics (RSSL)" which combines "A New system of Systems" and logistics. These tow models proposed here help explain several issues such as logistics environment in future warfare, MOE(Measure of Effectiveness( on logistics performance, and COA(Course of Actions) for decreasing mass and increasing velocity. In particular, velocity in logistics is emphasized.

  • 국방과 관련하여 주어진 임무를 수행하는 전투 시스템은 외부 위협에 의한 피해를 회피하여야 하며, 만약 피해를 입더라도 이를 최소화시켜 계속적인 임무 수행이 가능해야 한다. 이러한 이유로 외부 위협에 대한 전투 시스템의 취약점을 분석하고, 이를 개선하여 전투 시스템의 생존성을 향상시키기 위한 목적의 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기반의 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전투 시스템 생존성 분석을 위하여 3차원 관통 해석 프로그램을 개발하는 것에 관한 내용을 다룬다. 이를 위해, 전투 시스템 중 전차를 대상으로 외부 위협과 방호 성능에 따른 관통 해석식을 적용하였다. 실험을 위하여 3차원 CAD 기반으로 전차를 단순화하여 모델링하고, 시나리오에 따른 실험을 통해 개발한 프로그램이 설정된 장갑과 외부 위협의 속성에 따른 관통 해석 및 결과의 시각화가 가능함을 보였다.
