  • The objective of this research was to estimate residents' willingness-to-pay using contingent valuation method and to investigate their environmental sensibilities prior to conduct the costbenefit analysis on the watershed management program of integrated sewerage construction and operation in the catchment of Dam Chung-Ju. A set of questionnaire was prepared and asked to 1,200 residents at downstream area as well as upstream area of Dam Chung-Ju. As a result, environmental sensibility of the residents living in the catchment of upstream of Lake Chung-Ju seemed very high. However, the substantial practice in their own life for conserving their environment was inactive, although residents' efforts trying to collect and dispose garbages in separate containers and to minimize the waste discharge load were actually made. The willingness-to-pay on each month for 20 years was estimated as 4,841 wons for the openended question and 3,411 wons for the close-ended question. Factorial analysis was also performed to obtain correlation among the questions asked. Seven groups of the correlated questions were identified and their contribution to the estimated willingness-to-pay was analyzed.

  • Recently, the use of mobile payment, called "Pay" payment, is increasing such as 'KakaoPay' and 'SamsungPay'. In Korea, various mobile payment services are running and emerging. The purpose of this study is to examine the intention to switch from using existing credit cards or check card to mobile payment service based on the two-factor theory. We empirically examined the effect of the two factors, the factors that enable switching and the factors that inhibit switching. Therefore, the study use switching cost and switching benefit as parameters to confirm the effect on the switching intention. In addition, this study intends to analyze the differences between two subgroups by the degree of personal innovativeness. We survey smartphone users and credit card or check card users, and analyzed the Smart PLS 3.0 using structural equation model to verify the significance of the research hypothesis.

The dietitians felt most satisfied by their co-workers, followed by the work-itself, supervision, pay, and promotion possibilities. Dietitians who had a higher education were satisfied with pay and supervision. The longer the length of employment, the more the satisfaction with the work-itself and pay, plus the higher the monthly wage the more the satisfaction with the work-itself, pay, supervision, and co-workers. lob satisfaction was high in the group that scored high on autonomy, feedback, task identity, and friendship of in the job characteristic inventory. The job performances of nutrition counseling(r= 0.469, p < 0.01), nutrition education(r= 0.446, p < 0.01) and management of therapeutic diet(r= 0.394, p < 0.01) were positively correlated with job satisfaction. The $R^2$for the multiple regression model was 0.677, indicating that 67.7% of the variance in job satisfaction could be accounted for by feedback, organizational commitment, nutrition counseling performance, and nutrition education performance. • This study considers the influence of the job satisfaction of employees at deluxe hotels and family restaurants on turnover intent, and seeks to analyze the moderating effects of company type (deluxe hotel and family restaurant) on the relationship between job dissatisfaction and turnover intent. Based on a total of 408 employees, this study reviewed the reliability and validity of the results obtained from empirical research using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using structural equation modeling (SEM). The major findings are as follows. Job dissatisfaction was separated into five factors: the work itself, promotion, pay and benefits, supervision, and co-workers. The empirical results indicate that job dissatisfaction positively influences the turnover intent of employees. More specifically, the work itself (${\beta}=0.346$, p<0.001), and supervision (${\beta}=0.281$, p<0.001) significantly affects employees' turnover intent, whereas promotion, pay and benefits, and co-workers did not. Therefore, the turnover intent of employees at hotels and family restaurants decreased when they were motivated by strategies related to job dissatisfaction. In addition, the findings demonstrated that the company type moderated the effect of job dissatisfaction (e.g., co-worker) on turnover intent. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

After finding the Willingness To Pay (WTP) level of residents through CVM, this study attempts to calculate quantitative benefits from the pedestrian environment improvement. In this study, a survey targeting the inhabitants in Seongbuk-gu adjacent to a business area was carried out for pedestrian environment improvement considering form of payment, willingness to pay and such by establishing and showing several virtual scenarios depicting a quiet and comfortable pedestrian environment. As a result, the willingness to pay level of the Seongbuk-gu residents was 627 won of surcharge for pedestrian environment improvement per month. Additionally, the annual total benefits by pedestrian environment improvement was estimated within a range from 1,247,516,820 won to 286,305,110 won.

  • Firms are increasingly adopting online communities-of-practice (CoPs) with strong managerial support in hopes of promoting knowledge sharing and creation within the organization. Excessive managerial concern and sponsoring, however, could harm the spontaneity of CoP participants, which is one of the pivotal characteristics of virtual communities, and in the end, have negative impact on their smooth operation. In this regard, this study examines the factors which affect the stimulation of CoPs and explores the difference in their operating mechanisms under two differing organizational structural settings by the existence of a sponsor. By analyzing 133 samples of CoPs in a globally leading company, this study found that the existence of a sponsor designated by the organization, has serious influence on the working of CoPs, That is, leaders' enthusiasm and the level of off-line activities are critical factors for the stimulation of CoPs which have no sponsor, while in case of CoPs that have their sponsors, neither leaders' enthusiasm nor the level of off-line activities are significantly related to the stimulation of CoPs. At the same time, the performance of CoPs which have their sponsors was found significantly higher than that of CoPs which have no sponsor. These results indicate that firms need to pay special attention to organizational sponsorship when introducing CoPs within their organizations.
