  • Abstract. For a positive square-free integer m, let K = ℚ($\sqrt{m}$) be a real quadratic field. The relative class number Hd(f) of K of discriminant d is the ratio of class numbers 𝒪K and 𝒪f, where 𝒪K is the ring of integers of K and 𝒪f is the order of conductor f given by ℤ + f𝒪K. In 1856, Dirichlet showed that for certain m there exists an infinite number of f such that the relative class number Hd(f) is one. But it remained open as to whether there exists such an f for each m. In this paper, we give a result for existence of real quadratic field ℚ($\sqrt{m}$) with relative class number one where the period of continued fraction expansion of $\sqrt{m}$ is 6.

  • In this paper, we show how to construct the first layer $k^{\alpha}_{1}$ of anti-cyclotomic ${\mathbb{{Z}}}_{3}$-extension of imaginary quadratic fields $k(=\;{\mathbb{{Q}}}(\sqrt{-d}))$ when the Sylow subgroup of class group of k is 3-elementary, and give an example. This example is different from the one we obtained before in the sense that when we write $k^{\alpha}_{1}\;=\;k({\eta}),{\eta}$ is obtained from non-units of ${\mathbb{{Q}}}({\sqrt{3d}})$.

  • Superconducting field coils using a high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wires with high current density generate high magnetic field of 2 to 5 [T] and electromagnetic force (Lorentz force) acting on the superconducting field coils also become a very strong from the point of view of a mechanical characteristics. Because mechanical stress caused by these powerful electromagnetic force is one of the factors which worsens the critical current performance and structural characteristics of HTS wire, the mechanical stress analysis should be performed when designing the superconducting field coils. In this paper, as part of structural design of superconducting field coils for 17 MW class superconducting ship propulsion motor, mechanical stress acting on the superconducting field coils was analyzed and structural safety was also determined by the coupling analysis system that is consists of commercial electromagnetic field analysis program and structural analysis program.

  • In this paper, we study the stability and dynamics of a magnetic field producing the M6.6 class solar flare taking place in NOAA active region (AR) 11158 on 2011 February 13th. Toriumi et. al. (2013) recently suggest that a fine scale magnetic structure on the photosphere gives a major possibility to produce the M6.6 class flare. On the other hand, they don't discuss the torus instability as a plausible mechanism even though Zhao et. al. (2014) and Janvier et. al. (2014) suspect it as the trigger mechanism of X2.2 class flare taking place later in the same AR. We are the first to investigate the stability of a nonlinear force-free field (NLFFF) prior to the M6.6 class flare against the torus instability by using analytical and numerical approaches. Consequently, we found that our NLFFF is quite stable against small perturbation. This result supports that the flare is triggered by the photospheric motion suggested by Toriumi et. al. (2013). We further perform another MHD simulation with an anomalous resistivity using the NLFFF as an initial condition. As a result, we found the eruption of strongly twisted lines. We compare our simulation results with observations and discuss relevant dynamics in detail.

  • Leakage current of the polymer arrester(42kV, 10kA, Class3) for railroad line applied actually field was observed and electrical characteristics of arrester before and after applied actually field were investigated. During applied actually field, leakage current of arresters were $610{\sim}647{\mu}A$ in AN SAN line and $500{\mu}A$ in YUNG DONG line. After applied actually field, electrical characteristics of arrester, such as insulation test, reference voltage test, leakage current test and partial discharge current test, wasn't variation as before applied actually field.

  • Purpose: We investigated the satisfaction of physical therapy course according to teaching ways after COVID-19. Methods: 336 students in major of physical therapy were recruited in this study. Based on the classification of subjects in the national examination, the questionnaire was divided into 6 subjects in the basic field of physical therapy, 2 subjects in the field of physical therapy diagnostic evaluation, 8 subjects in the field of physical therapy intervention, and 3 subjects in other fields. The Likert scale was used. Results: In the basic field of physical therapy, all subjects were shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes except for the public health and medical law compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. Regarding the field of physical therapy diagnostic evaluation, the principle of diagnostic evaluation was shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. In the field of physical therapy intervention, all subjects were shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. Conclusion: We found that the face-to-face classes in most of subjects was shown the high score of satisfactory. We believed that our results can be used as basic data for physical therapy major learning methods.

  • This paper compares the features of second generation (2G) High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) field coil with those of magnesium diboride ($MgB_2$) field coil for a 10 MW class superconducting generator. Both coils can function effectively in their respective magnetic flux density range: 10-12 T for 2G HTS field coil, 2 T for $MgB_2$ superconducting field coil. Even though some leading researchers have been developing 10 MW class superconducting generator with 2G HTS field coil, other research groups have begun to focus on $MgB_2$ wire, which is more economical and suitable for mass production. However 2G HTS wire is still appealing in functions such as in-field property and critical temperature, it shows higher in-field property and critical temperature than $MgB_2$ wire.

  • In this paper, we will introduce the notion of the real quadratic function fields of minimal type, which is a function field analogue to Kawamoto and Tomita's notion of real quadratic fields of minimal type. As number field cases, we will show that there are exactly 6 real quadratic function fields of class number one that are not of minimal type.
